This is not the exact restaurant, the original was the old style Golden Arches with the red and white tiles. The original was torn down and replaced with this modern McDonalds.
When I was in high school we would hang out at the Eat&Park in Mckeesport Pa.We new some guy's that hung out at Mcdonalds and race at Uniontown. we drove to Uniontown one night fall 1966 we checked out the area and I wanted to go back to Mckeesport to get a big boy before they closed. The four guys I was with said let's eat here we went to McDonald's the guy working the counter was actually the franchisee. I said I want a Big Boy he said what the guys I was with chastised me and said they don't have that here but Jim said go ahead what do you want I said it has two burgers on it he said I can put two patties on it has a three piece bun he was interested I told him how to make it a guy who was with was a former bus boy at Eat&Park and said he could tell him where to get the buns jim said his bun guy could make them my buddy said Eat&Park used TarTar sauce I said some places use thousand Island we settled on TarTar with brown mustard and paparika bye spring they were selling them .Later on Jim said he thought we were mill workers.

Really interesting, I have been to the one in Irwin and just assumed that it was where the Big Mac was invented since it had the museum.

Before the Big Mac, Red Barn had the Big barney. Same sandwich.
