What I really like in these videos is that you can only find intelligent people enjoying their radios, not only collecting them, even really using them, getting every feature into play, analizing their technologies, measuring their performance, and making together a valuable community. Long life radio. Thanks for such contents. Greetings.

I received a PL-680 Tecson as a gift. Been Dxing all over the short & long waves! Your videos are helpful!

I have a Tecsun Pll 880 and a Grundig G5 both are great radios 📻 when used with a portable antenna they just get better. It's amazing how plugging in a skinny little 20foot wire can make such a huge difference in reception 👏 on medium wave I use a tunable passive loop to enhance the reception.

Thanks, that's turned me off radio's forever and I grew up with them. Yours is not the only video that failed to explain frequencies to an idiot like me, loads of similar videos didn't either.

One problem with radios nowadays is the muting between tuning. I love my skywave ssb but I have to tune much slower than in this video.

Very informative videos. I see You use the PL 680 for explaining tuning. I own the PL600 which i feel is a good radio. Is it worth it to buy the PL 680 ?

At 3:44 he mentions 'only using telescopic', ie the standard telescopic aerial that's part of the radio.

Not all radios have that feature and it isn't really a absolute necessity to have but it is a handy thing to have sometimes. Check to see if your radio has a bandwidth setting, sometimes you can narrow the bandwidth an tune just slightly off frequency to one side or the other of the signal and that acts like a poor person's sideband which you can use to null out some interference or competing signals from other stations. a tunable passive loop antenna is a good investment it helps to reduce interference and bring in weak signals.
