@@cassandracremel9230 haha no. I lived in Melbourne for 3 years... and absolutely no way is it as good as Perth to live in. Traffic alone drove me insane.
@@frankmat Well that's all well and good, except I actually hate the traffic in Perth, everyone there drives like an idiot, never seems to be at work and merging is a foreign concept. I would know seeing as I lived there for 30 years.
Excellent footage. It's like a time capsule looking back from 2020 with the old Burswood golf course still there instead of the stadium and no EQ in the city.
I love that feeling of looking down from the plane and seeing all the traffic and people just going about their day and feeling like an alien entering a new world.
I'm a Liverpudlian who moved to Perth 13 years ago, and at the end of every holiday its always great to return to this beautiful city. This is a really nice vid, most of these types of recordings are too shaky to watch, but you've done a terrific job. Thanks for sharing!
Nicely filmed. Thanks for holding the camera steady. My one and only trip to Perth was a BA diversion due to engineering faults (this is in the old days of the first 747s) then an internal red-eye to Adelaide, my original destination from LHR. Twas waiting at Perth that I saw two Australia wonders; the black swans and the Ozzie boozer's gut. Both amazing sights!
x's & o's because, change is something we all go through. We develop and evolve, we lose people and grow. Sometimes life goes downhill, but you will always find the light. I’m 14 and live in Perth, and my dad recently left us, and moved to Ireland. It’s been a tough past few months, but I’m already healing.
I also want to know how it went , im moving to perth as soon as the borders open and honestly it freaks me out , the change and not knowing anyone or even the country , I hope everything worked out for this person
Views on your descent are amazing...... Great vid. Week and a half till I visit Perth from the uk for the 4th time. Lovely city and great friendly people.......... Oh and a nice cold TED
Thanks. Yes most car rental companies are represented at both the international & domestic terminals of Perth Airport as well as buses & taxis. April is one of the best months in Perth as most of the really hot days are over by then. Enjoy your stay.
Nice video. Im Irish and lived in Perth for a few months in 2008. Dam it was cold that day. I heard the air-hostess say it was 18 degrees...brrrrrrrrr :-)
Awesome, thanks so much for the info. I've wanted to visit Australia for so long and Perth was the only city I could afford to travel too but not complaining!
Melbourne better then Perth? Is that a joke? Eastern states is so over rated. Its no wonder people from Perth choose Asian city's over the east coast for holidays.
This video is now almost eleven years old. Perth has changed so much in this period. The Burswood area no longer has The Burswood Dome however the new Perth Stadium dominates the Burswood Peninsula. As a native Western Australian, and a well travelled one at that, Perth's beauty is still somewhat a secret to most of the outside world. Even the humble metro beaches still hold themselves high in world beach quality. Perth also boasts some 8,000 BnB stays so there must be a location to suit any tourist. This video would have been shot in Autumn - Winter and just look at the weather! My favourite season in W.A. is Autumn. All the best parts of Spring without the pollen count. I fly in and out of Perth AP some 40 times a year and I'm really looking forward to the upgrades that are not too far off. See this link. ruclips.net/video/yVEFz_073Uw/видео.html
@@cwerkzz Can you remember when the area was a huge rubbish dump? There would be waste paper and debris blowing across Great Eastern Hwy near Vic Park. It was an immense eye-sore.
Nice video...I'll be going to Perth in April and it looks like an amazing sight. Do you remember if the car rentals are within walking distance from the airport? Thanks!
@oscarsharp1 I'm from Perth, personally i think Peth is a much better option in terms of living, its low key unlike sydney which is very busy. unless you like the busy lifestyle. working and studying is probably better in sydney too, because its bigger and probably has more options compared to Perth. hope this helped :)
@legit1318 Thanks for your response. Your'e saying that studies are better in Sydney? I thought of doing masters in UWA, is it a good choice ? And in terms of living you mean it's cheaper to get a place/live there? And working, do you think I'll have a better opportunity in Perth of getting it than Sydney? (Since it's very busy and probably more competition). Hope U getting me? :)
Anyone, Perth or Sydney? Which place is better in terms of living, studying, working, opportunities post and friendly (no matter who or where U R from) ??

Live in most of Australia and gotta say Perth is by far the best city. Seeing this video makes me realize again just how nice it is.
Patty Patty I live in Perth and I have to say that is pretty accurate
Patty Patty yep. I live in Perth and that is accurate
LMFAO!!! Pretty sure Melbourne beats Perth any day of the week.

It's so weird to see the old interchange next to the airport. So much has changed in recent years
No DFO, no Costco, and the Burswood dome was still there! 😮
I love that feeling of looking down from the plane and seeing all the traffic and people just going about their day and feeling like an alien entering a new world.
Love Perth! Was just there for the 1st time in January from Sydney. Wish to go back and live.
So dissapointed returning to Sydney..

@TheEggler
Yes it was a bit cool but it was early morning. 18deg.c is around 64deg. Fahrenheit. So it would have been warmer later.
Thanks, you too will miss the heat. Have fun.
It is very very beautiful and nice place, one day soon I will visit this place.
Every big city looks nice from above and therefore I like Amsterdam from above.
the plane windows must have been very clean,
Thank you for your kind words. I try to keep the camera steady, not always easy when you're being bumped around in an aircraft.
I live in perth I love it here where do you live??
Fantastic video!!
@jayroe111 Yes Rwy 06 landings are rare, but depends on the wind.
WHich camera do you use ? Very good quality !
nice landing on runway 06 don't see videos with that approach too often. must have been very strong easterlies
In hundreds of landings over 30 years I've only ever approached Perth over Guildford.
Cheers, thanks for taking the time to comment.
Been there loved Australia
I love. Perth nice city

@thompsonmatthew Great .Thanks.
seats in upright position and no electronic equipment turned on whilst landing.. nice video :)
No, take it from me, the Brisbane River doesn't have that "cow's digestive system" outline like the Swan River has. ;-)
I love perth,,
37 days until I land in Perth. I can’t wait!!
I go to boarding school there .. its difficult not to hate it . Sorry if its your home , I'm from Darwin and most people think thats an armpit .
I can see my house from there
@burswood23
Glad you like it. Thanks.
It is! But I like it anyway. You'd hate anywhere you board at. I like both Perth and Darwin. From Kununurra by the way.
You flew over my house btw
Minestar Productions same
😄
Can't wait to fly again on 2020 .
Optus Stadium and Elizabeth Quay wasn't there at the moment
2:00 Perth Burswood Dome
