I love the history of the Apostolic church. First Apostolic is one of the oldest Apostolic churches in America. Founder by Bishop Joseph Marcel Turpin. This Church has only had 3 pastors in close to 100 years!
My Bishop used to talk a lot about Bishop W A Showell as he and Bishop Williams along with Apostles L G Campbell and H L Rogers came to Bibleway .Uk first convention n 1961
To the person who posted this video, "Thank You so much for doing so." On last evening, as I had dinner with my brother, he made me aware of this historical compilation. At 4:18 minutes, my mother was captured in the picture of the original Echoneers. I just looked at it. I am floored... Thank You so much for allowing me to live part of my childhood church beginnings!
Awesome upload! I found a double LP album of First Apostolic called JESUS NEVER FAILS at a record shop a while back. Got it home and the wrong vinyl was in there. Went back to the store and searched for the right ones....no luck! Thanks for posting this!
these uploads are incredible and I even found a picture of my grandmother and one of them I was there up until 1980 and born in 66 so it's a blessing to be able to see the old memories from my old church God bless you. train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart. I thank God for these roots, and I thank God for you. I am now a minister in Durham North Carolina.
I’ve studied the church a great deal and have never seen anything about Baptist. If you notice, the Baptist portion is typed and not the original handwritten note. The note on the side in the bottom right does not say Baptist. It was called simply Apostolic Faith Church by 1917 and this was prior to the move to the National Theatre on Eden and Monument where they are presented as “Baptist” in this video. In short, I think the Baptist name is an error.
recott05 I know it’s been a long time since you asked this question but here is your answer..... If we ever needed the Lord before, we sure do need him now (repeat 2x) If we ever needed the Lord before, we sure do need him now! (We) Need him everyday and every hour I need him in the morning I need him in the evening night I need in the noon day When is sun is always (or shining) bright

What is the first song on the video? I really love those old gospel songs where they sang with pianos and clapping hands
