Ben keep posting the videos I love em I love watching your videos I love when you do video's at the scrap yard and when you sell boards to your buyer best video's ever keep em conk buddy
We got Us here a Chook Inspection - ha-ha ! Fantastic Long Scrapping Session - we Love ! You sounded very Happy about all those Cards and Boards ! Well done and many Cheers from us in QLD !!!!
On that first module you removed from one of the boards, there looked to be an ovenized crystal oscillator on the module. Didn't expect to see such a high precision low drift crystal oscillator in networking equipment.
It’d be interesting to see what value is being added with each step. When you talk about a board with heat sinks on it being low grade and then mention taking the heat sink off and removing fingers or other components it would be interesting to see a weight of the original board, approximation of the value then a weight and value of the components that come off of it.
Must admit to being torn between slow scrapping of new things vs banging through my cash cow standard PC's. The first is interesting and mentally stimulating the later pays the bills. 🤣
Started doing network tearouts recently, and man the amount of cool stuff ive gotten so far, i now know the necessity of scrapping nearly everything now though
Great video! What is the tool you use around 8 mins in to cut off the fixings that hold connectors to the back panel? Are the fixings the hex bolts that are used to hold vga connectors to the rear of TVs?
Do you generally depopulate boards for copper coils and transformers? (especially since they don’t affect sell grade) Or just for gold silver and palladium recovery?
44:50 seems there is gold on the 4 coaxial connectors from that front panel ! Btw, if the eggs from your chickens taste like steell hardware, you know why :-/
Since I started watching you a couple years ago I don't think I've ever seen you Google recovery melting gold smelting or whatever you do I wish you'd do that go into workshop and melt a little gold make it a couple eggs
On two previous occasions you announced streetscraping "next weekend" because an interesting area is coming, but there is no streetscraping in both weekends. Did something happened?
What is the obsession with gold band crystal oscillators anyhow. They are nothing special gold recovery wise are they? Also what would electrolytic caps sell as? Irony alluminium?
yesterday i scrapped a powerpc settopbox. that was crazy to see. and hey ben, what about red fibre cpu's? did you every had those? i couldnt find anything about them. from a company named methode electronics or smthng
Maybe you can take a photos of carefuly dismantled stuff, ... , and let it be On line for 7 days or 10 days BEFORE you scrap it. I assume some people will ask you to buy entire boards from you ... for repair.... or other electronic fun purposes. Just assuming ... ???
Is there no way these things are useful or can be resold? They have to be scrapped for metals? Isn't reusing things better for the world and prevents waste in the first place? Some of the things I see in these videos could easily be flipped on Ebay for much more than scrap value.
You haven't watched many of his videos I guess otherwise you would know he does sell what is useful and has a buyer for. Also he has done ebay in the past so I'm pretty sure he knows what to scrap and what not to scrap.
the chicken be like: "Dad I've come to help you with the scrapping"
Very interesting scrapout thank you. I like your videos
Another good video :) Interesting older stuff and some cameos of the chickens :D I really like the chickens!
Great video . now the work starts. cleaning them up. take care from the USA.

Man, they sure sandwich those boards together in those old machines! Interesting old scrap!
Thanks
thanks for another marathon :-)
Thanks!
Thanks for a great scrap session, Ben; really enjoyed it. And that HP was really neat and well made.
Nice scrap. For some reason its enjoyable to watch things get torn apart. Thanks for the video
Awesome stuff Ben love Long video it's great seeing all the Old stuff before it's all gone thank you for sharing five stars my friend
It's seems like it's been awhile since I've seen one of your Scrapping videos!!

Keep giving us what we want, no...what we need! LOL 😆 seriously we love them so please keep 'em comin'.
Great video

Very very nice ideas to organize to the scrap awesome videos
Nice to spend quality time with the chooks Ben! 🤣🤣

It’s always a reverse puzzle finding screws and how those odd electronics are assembled.
Started doing network tearouts recently, and man the amount of cool stuff ive gotten so far, i now know the necessity of scrapping nearly everything now though
Awesome stuff.
Love the chickens.
The CF cards are worth quite a bit as parts, because they are in demand for old equipment that uses them.
Great Video Ben Keep Bringing The Video's Dude God Bless You And Your Family 👍👍
24:00 when you started disassembling that oscilloscope I had a heart attack 😭
Great video!
What is the tool you use around 8 mins in to cut off the fixings that hold connectors to the back panel? Are the fixings the hex bolts that are used to hold vga connectors to the rear of TVs?
Multi-grip Pliers, yes same bolts, some are tuffer than others to break off.
@@eWasteBen thanks, I'll give it a go. Quicker than unsrewing them 🙂
The chickens just crack me up.
Cheers on another banger video Ben ♻🌎👍
Are you saying "gold bearing" or "gold band" crystal oscillator? Also, how do you get them off without breaking them? Thanks for the videos.
Gold Band, as in the gold band around the outer case. Flat screwdriver up against it, push down and twist.
ever see the automatic cutters, would save your hand from cramping out when doing massive amouts at once
You probably have the most high-tech chickens in Australia
Rocking it again thank you for your knowledge ☺️
Great scrap Ben
You Tube hasn't notified of your videos things been getting weird here in the States?
Great job Ben. Please take care and stay safe. Talk to you later my friend. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
ones again thanks
for an great video as usual ;)
Do you generally depopulate boards for copper coils and transformers? (especially since they don’t affect sell grade) Or just for gold silver and palladium recovery?
Usually sell the low grade boards complete as no time to depopulate it
@@eWasteBen is it not worth the time or is it just not worth *your* time (as in you’re too busy)

love the content ben keep scrapping
What can you say, your chickens enjoy your company. Or maybe they want front row seats to watch like the rest of us.
On two previous occasions you announced streetscraping "next weekend" because an interesting area is coming, but there is no streetscraping in both weekends. Did something happened?
👍chickens waiting for a snack to come out the scrap👍
Hurray thank you so much😁
Привет дружище 🤝 моя поддержка 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yes irony ally.
They are better than ceramic CPU's by weight.
999 Dusan did a sample and yield was 14g gold per kg or 7g per lb
@@eWasteBen interesting. Thanks Ben

Never seen one, only green, brown & black
Great

Hey Dad What's You Doing? came to check you out
Chicken star of the vid
This is only worth it if you have a bunch of PCs or servers

@@paulcoenen7918 Yoi are correct I also think some stuff has to be scrapped per request of the customer of which he picks up from.
Last one was shit mate for being used by telecom

Paper Carter you have her use mine for this discord
Hi.
can u save me a few cpu's i will pay you the shipping
Friends, can someone who is interested in these things send me a 1366 socket intel motherboard?
Low grade boards here are considered scrap steel. Do you see a price difference between low grade and scrap steel?
Yes boards should be more, a bit like irony ally
My scrapyard is much less. So i wont sell them any boards that i have not depopulated
