Actually, if my memory serves me correctly, this is the first video I've seen a large slab being flattened with a router jig that is moved longitudinally over the slab rather than crosswise over the slab. Now that I think about it, this has merit as it is probably easier /less energy to move something sideways, rather than push and pull it.

I've never understood the front to back then move sideways method either, far less changing of direction if done lengthways and front to back 👍
