Also, banana peels were his favorite food (we only gave them to him rarely, as a treat) but he wouldn't touch the actual fruit.

They also ate a lot of spinach, absolutely loved them and it never caused any problems. The first to die, died due to her teeth growing too fast at the back and causing an infection which stopped her eating, and the second simply lay down one day and just died peacefully.

You can feed a guinea pig cauliflower. When I got my little guinea pigs, they came with a fruit, vegetables, herbs and plants list. Cauliflower is on the vegetable list. It says it is high in Vitamin C. But you have to feed sparingly because it might cause a upset tummy if you feed it too much.
i was continuously feeding my guinea pig milk seriously three times a day without even knowing that ,it is really poisonous to him. And now he have a habit to drink milk. Trying he can get rid of that habit soon. I seriously love him. I am really very sorry to him.

My local grocery store has an organic produce section, and in the summer they have dandelion greens fit for human consumption. I love to get a bundle or two as a treat for my piggies! As for grass, the best way to have safe grass for your pigs is to grow your own. 👍🏼

I'm so sorry! R.I.P. One of my oldest guinea pigs namned Lady (5 ½ year old) also passed away, but the 24 of november. I'm really sad not to see her enjoying her christmas presents, but I know she have a great time in her next life. I have just got her home some days ago in a nice white urn. She truely was my most tame and loving guinea pig, and I feel so blessed to have had her for so many years. R.I.P Lady, my sweet love.

Iceberg lettuce is actually completely fine as long as it's not fed in large amounts. And my guinea pigs eat apples and they're completely fine. Do you get your "knowledge" about guinea pigs from just one cite?
Guinea pigs can eat the banana peel, if you google it, if they can eat it, you will find that they can eat it and I saw on a few channels on youtube how somebody was feeding the guinea pig with banana peel and the guinea pig is healthy.
Just because you can't see an issue doesn't mean that something isn't slowly happening to your GP. A lot of these "bad" foods SLOWLY cause problems that they wouldn't have otherwise. Just because you don't see any problems after feeding them a certain food once or a few times doesn't mean that they won't develop problems from those foods later on.
Guineapigs can eat ice burg lettuce , cabbage, and cauliflower , I think your just a little over the top my guineapigs ate these and loved them had no problems I kept them outside and they lived to 7 and a 1/2

It’s not toxic, but it can cause them to be very gassy and has no nutritional value. I give it to mine every once in a while if I’m making a salad or something, it’s never effected them.

One time my brother in law fed a guinea pig a small piece of a marshmallow. The guinea pig ate it, and then he ran in circles accompanied by one long that lasted two minutes. Then it finally just stopped and took a nap. So he gave it a little sugar rush and crash.

I used to feed my guinea pigs iceberg lettuce. They love it but I know now that it's not good for them as it contains too high a water content. This can make them incontinent.
another food they can have is called red chard, just make sure to separate it from the stem cuz the stem is really bad for them. but the leafy part of it is really nutritious and my Guinea pig loves it

Some say daily romaine feeding causes gritty pee and suggest green leaf or red lettuce. I swap through all 3 myself 1 kind per week.
Don't feed them with cilantro if they're pregnant, babies can die.

is there a female? if not you will have to take them out separate times.
Ada Rivera put a blanket over them to stop the fight and give them more room. boars can be territorial.
Take them out at different time's, some times they like to play like that so if its not to vulgar then they might be playing.
Maybe castrate them? That sometimes helps. Otherwise just separate them. Males often fight

It’s not toxic, but it can cause them to be very gassy and has no nutritional value. I give it to mine every once in a while if I’m making a salad or something, it’s never effected them.

Iceberg lettuce is not bad for them. You can feed a little, because it is very watery which will lead to diarrhea. (If fed too much) oh and will cause bloating too.

I fed my guinea pigs (washed!) iceberg lettuce from time to time and what I left over when eating an apple and they became 6 and 7 years old :) they also loved cucumbers, carrots, pears, dandelion greens, gras and parsley.

So Guinea pigs can have Iceburg lettuce it just has high water content and less vitamins ot wont kill them if you feed it on accident it just isn't healthy for the piggies

One time my brother in law fed a guinea pig a small piece of a marshmallow. The guinea pig ate it, and then he ran in circles accompanied by one long that lasted two minutes. Then it finally just stopped and took a nap. So he gave it a little sugar rush and crash.

I live in NJ right next to NYC. and if you got the bedbug ad, let me tell you, I have NEVER had a problem with bedbugs, I don't think I even know anyone who has. Its not that big of a problem. We may be the HIGHEST area affected, but even that must not be much.
Celery's my guinea pigs' favorite, they get it as treats when they behave and are easily bathed.
They also get baby carrots as treats occasionally.
I used to feed my guinea pigs iceberg lettuce. They love it but I know now that it's not good for them as it contains too high a water content. This can make them incontinent.
I had one piggy who loved pancakes, though I wouldn't give him them very often. He was a very adventurous eater.
another food they can have is called red chard, just make sure to separate it from the stem cuz the stem is really bad for them. but the leafy part of it is really nutritious and my Guinea pig loves it

Kale can also cause problems for your guinea pig. It has quite a lot of calcium which can cause harm so only give occasionally or not at all.
My guinea pig has been eating 2 big helpings of spinach every day for 5 years. He's still going strong.

I have a two guinea pigs.
The first one, a female, only likes fruits. I've tried sweet vegetables things like carrots and cucumber, but she will only take a small amount.
The second one, a male, prefers vegetables over fruits. (he does love grapes and tomato, though)
I am surprised that this video failed to mention that mushrooms are definitely on the DO NOT FEED TO GUINA PIGS list.
Well I've been feeding my Guinea Pigs sweetheart cabbage and they seem just fine.
