    Great video. If you work with a variety of patients, I would suggest keeping both a regular gait belt and a bariatric gait belt handy.

    If the patient wears a gait belt, he can walk completely alone without any aid

      That is definitely not true. Patients who are ambulatory can require a gait belt to safely transfer to and from a seated position. I also took care of many wheelchair users who were able to stand and pivot, but needed a gait belt to do so safely.
