You know what I think one of Blizzard's intentions was with this dungeon? To be an inside joke about bad players in dungeons. See, there's Illidan, who never shuts up in chat and tells the party to hurry up and pull, Malfurion spends the final battle more or less just standing there in the background (AFK), and Tyrande runs out of arrows in the middle of the boss fight.
The only thing missing is Thrall in HoT having an elemental that pulls a bunch of mobs because he forgot it was on Aggressive.
Wow.
Should've been, and was likely initially designed as a raid.
Still fantastic though; both Azshara and Mannoroth's fight were done justice despite being 5-man.

Would be nice if the next expansion took place Before Vanilla, so we can take part in all those historical events take occured during the old warcraft games.

I love this music. It sounds like the Elven themes of Lord Of The Rings, but a much darker and more depressing version. This music perfectly represents both the staggering greatness and unfathomable malevolence of Queen Aszhara's Elven Empire at its zenith. Azeroth was fortunate to have the Kaldo'rei, Rhonin and Broxxigar at the hour of its greatest need. ;-)
The War of the Ancients was the most epic fight ever :) and the most full of "feels"

More lore based dungeons please Blizzard. Love Queen Azshara, the highborne and all that lore surrounding them. Maybe in the upcoming expansion, doing a dungeon surrounding the defense of Surumar against the Legion, High Priestess Dejahna, we all liked this sort of dungeon and it was different aswell. Getting turned into a Night Elf > Human anyday

one my all time favorite instances...that and end time
8:25-8:50 sealed the deal for me on this one. Usually plays when going up the ramp to Queen Azshara.

Weird to think this was a year ago. Man things have changed drastically in WoW. But by far this is my favorite music in the game besides ICC

Was just saying the same exact thing when i started playing this. I absolutely love this dungeon. The music matches it so perfectly.
The three HoT and DS were the only reason I got into PvE in Cataclysm. I actually really enjoyed these instances.
Some parts remind me of Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring

Warlords was intense enough, we need classy, calm, desperate, sad music in Legion. Intense does not fit the expansion theme.
Turns out almost one year later that you were actually right! Some parts of this music plays in the zone Azsuna!

Peroth arn was the hardest boss, NOBODY WOULD AVOID THE EYES, AND THEN HE WOULD JUST GO BESTIAL AND SHERE KHAN ON YOU, and talk about that enrage at the end, we couldnt do it until we had a Mistweaver healer in MOP, ( some of my guildies stayed 85)

I dont know why i always think that the War of the Ancients is biggest Burning Legion Invasion ever, even they say that the Legion expansion is the biggest invasion, the WoTA will always have a special place in the Warcraft Lore!
Man, the WotA and this first BL invadion was the cause of the great sundering. Everything bad happened there. The elven empire fell to ruins, neltharion betreyed the aspects and almost erradicated the blue dragonflight, sargeras corrupted the well of eternity. It the most important event on all of WoW lore

I am sick to the stomach of people calling Mists of Pandaria dumb and beer-drinking silly games, IT'S NOT. MoP is the core game-changer between the revolted war between the Alliance or Horde and the Pandarens (not "Pandas") will most likely be the the most important people in the plot of the expansion, so trust me if you think MoP is going to be dumb then you got another thing headed for ya, jack.
Easily the best track in WoW.
The strange thing is, that the VA thart did Tyrande in WoE, was also the VA from WC3. Talk about a change!
Not sure if *that* will ever happen. But they might keep adding to the Caverns of Time, which basically does just that: takes us back to key moments in Azeroth's history.
You can always go back and solo it when you're strong enough :)

@CoolWzzrd Pandareans have always been in the lore, beside world of warcraft has a world with walking dead, little gnomes, space goats, alien orcs, and big cows on two legs, yet no one complains about them, I do agree with you that cata is kinda boring, but MoP will be more horde vs. ally orientated, so it should be more intressting.

This sounds so amazing... I instantly fell in love with it when I heard it and it sounds so familiar!!! Does anyone know what this sounds like? Russell Brower always creates compositions that sound like other ones. : /
For much the same reason that others should not be calling MoP dumb, YOU should not be touting this as a great expansion yet, either.
TBC was promised to be a great expo, all the talk back then was about Illidan telling us we weren't prepared. He was supposed to be this great big baddie.. What ACTUALLY happened? He was killed off in the first patch, swept under the rug, treated like a pawn after the fact. Blizz admits they killed him off too early.

4.3 Was a great patch, finally some more to do with WoW Lore and honestly i feel we need Panderia so blizzard dont kill of ALL the wow super baddies.

@Wowmusicable Unless SWTOR and its developers actually start working on its problems (There are a few; PvP issues on Ilium being a major one) I don't see SWTOR actually competing against WoW for a very long time...And saying that Guild Wars 2 is going to provide competition against WoW is like saying Runescape was competing against Everquest. One's a free game, the other has a subscription. People can play both at the same time.

Then the fire nation attacked. and Shaohao was like "HELL NO!" And went Avatar air bending style. With 1,000 daily quests (AKA the 7 burdens of Shaohao)
not a whole expansion but just like they did it in bc, wrath, cata with the caverns of time one or 2 dungeons per expansion

generally I think story and gameplay doesn't go well together. You either sacrifice some gameplay to tell the story (and people start complaining about things becoming more of a movie than game and boring after 2nd or 3rd time you go there to grind point or w/e) or you make excellent gameplay but people start to not care about story at all as usually in such case you can skip over it. Especially in multiplayer games it is so. That's why story-driven instances etc in WoW are controversial.
they didn't leave because it was bad, they left because you joined, why else would they be in the middle of the instance but all suddenly leave as soon you join?
Sometimes I really miss playing WoW. I liked most of the addons (yeah even Cataclysm). Being in the world I had played before in the Wc-Games was cool. Exploring, facing the heros of the Wc-Games. With WotLk and Cata even leveling wasn´t that boring anymore. But as soon as I reached max. lvl and had to repeat the same ever & ever again, cause without best equip you got kicked out of every raid, it became boring. That really sucked...
At the time I thought it was funny how the people calling Dragon Soul easy had never even been in the instance, but then shit took a turn and everyone hopped on the bandwagon .-.
I was a big fan of End Time, mostly because I loved the hell out of that giant mouth cthulu mouth thing, but I just didnt like Dragon soul :/, not because it was easy, because it was not my cup of tea.

This is what Caverns of Time was put in the game to accomplish and let me tell you how bad they fucked up. Lackluster instances that accomplish almost nothing, horribly long and tedious raids with pitfalls that can send you an hour out of your way in a heartbeat and a completely useless additional faction with items only the assiest of assholes would ever use or want.
@Wowmusicable WoW gets worse since WotLK, it gets tooooo easy :/

it is, but it had no real feel of originality really (for me), felt more like...ohh great, more fire...ohh wow...ragnaros again?.. will this be another overused boss, like Ony?? will he return in MoP as zombie elemental boss? other than that, firelands was fun to do

Shame they only released this dungeon to further reiterate Deathwings betrayal, the story of Azshara and the other night elf leaders was epic :(

MOP is not a dumb expo i thought the same exact thing at first. you think it's dumb cause of "cute" panda playable class. no pandas are badass go to a panda and try to hug it... come back to me when you have a mauled face.
