i recently lost my job as social media executive and reason was that they got cheaper offer from an agency for whole digital marketing and they promised boss that they can rank his website DA, SEO and GMB and do backlinks...truly disappointed that just cause someone else who PROMISED you to do what i do in cheaper price, they just throw me out like a fly in milk.
I have been applying for all jobs in this stream and nothing seems to work. Mom and my friend suggested me to change my field and you got me, i don't have confidence that i may give output even i worked 4yrs in this field yet.
But today after watching this video, i think i gained some more confidence to fight and find a way to achieve my goals. I will give try for internship and keep this video in my mind. Thank-you for such content.

This was bound to happen. The past two years have stressed so much on going digital that everybody wants to be a digital marketer. My two cents. Always start your career with offline marketing with digital marketing as a side hustle. 3-4 years down the line you will end up with such tremendous knowledge about hybrid marketing strategies that no company can reject you.
Viraj thanks for your comment, but the chances of getting a job offer for a fresher in offline marketing are very slim. I have personally experienced it. I agree with your other points though.

@@virajvrooms You mean to say that field work(sales) is a must to do if you aspire to grow in marketing domain? I agree that it could be true to do field work(area sales manager) first then aspire to be a Brand Manager.

There's Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing, POS Marketing, BTL activations, Events and Expos, CRM implementation at sellers/distributor premises, Merchandising, Hoardings and Wall Advertising and my favourite mystery shopping. All need you to get out of the AC offices, get some Vitamin D and not keep doubting the sales team by being a part of the office chitchats. The moment you enter sales in India you get branded. Switching streams while job change in India is not that easy unless you work for MNCs and choose to do so internally. I chose to stick to marketing come what may. Of course my earnings might be less in comparison to my peers in sales but I have a high peace of mind. From exploring my hobbies to learning new skills and most of all meeting new people without the pressure to sell them a pen.
@@virajvroomsi learnt digital marketing but i didn't practice well and I am doing a 11 to 7 job in an art gallery where I am supposed to take care of the surroundings and be a sales person also however I do enjoy attending customers but sometimes i feel hta na chhod na kya hai zindagi jhand and btw I am also pursuing bcom 😅😅

I complete agree with you , i have worked in internships for 2-3 years for minimum pay , basic 5,000 and this year i had a jump of 3 lpa and i worked with web 3 and research company . Everything takes time.

I partially agree with your comments. I work in North America for a small company. We get almost 15-20 messages daily for digital marketing from India and other countries. Everyone claim they have done great work for their clients and share reports with us. We ask simple question to all, Can you prove us your marketing efforts works for our products? We ask them to take challenge and work voluntarily for three months or so and prove it works. They do not come back and keep asking for work after few days or months. It sounds like begging for work. Please note now, no company has charity money to pay for your marketing experiments. Times have changed therefore, if you want work, I would recommend everyone to first prove that their marketing efforts work by doing actual work at no cost for them then clients will be ready to invest in you. There is lot of work and interested person or company looking to take this challenge I will help connect with manager.

GD do not inspire me more but people around me says DM has its saturation point but GD don't. Very well said Dhiraj, skill needs to be defined to finer details like dashboard skill and strategic skill. People generally connect with dashboard skill as skill. Like designing and editing skill is not how well you operate different softwares, it's about what impact you make on your viewers. Content writing is not how well you write the language, but how well you understand the usage of the language in the targeted segment and demography of the user.
Learning few pattan, tips and tricks, won't make any one a great achiever any where, you need to drill deep.

You have a good video, but most companies look for candidates with experience rather than knowledge. What I have seen is that most companies prioritize the number of years of experience the candidate has rather than his or her knowledge. I also face this issue. I'm a digital marketer who does 360 degree digital marketing, but they don't want that, they want experience, but I believe knowledge should take priority because knowledge will convert them, not experience.
Just knowledge is not enough.
Companies are looking for a culture-fit and not just skill fit.
You can train employees for knowledge and skills, but never for attitude, empathy, courtesy, and professionalism

Okay! this did not actually demotivate or anything but it made me so happy. This is what I thought even when i got started. 2021 I started learning to "make money online stuff" and guess what after spending 8 months I got nothing but truth. I understood that world doesn't work like this and it's not that easy to make money, at end i got to know about blogging and i thought i can do this. In that process i leant how to build websites than ranked my 1st article in 10days i learnt SEO from that too, than i saw blogging is long term game and can't be cracked this easily specially along with 12th science which i was in. So i started learning digital marketing not whole but SEO, content marketing & analytics. Than i got to know i cant do all of them together for any of the clinet so i collected all those skills and started with one skill to sell which is web design and developmnent. Now i'll do it and get better at it than include some other services in it and expand. Dheeraj sir you'll see me soon in the field:) thank you for this one❤

I completed my course, did an internship for 6 months in SMM then started a company with a friend, its been 10 months we do not have a single client. During this 16 months i have skilled myself in Canva, video editing, content creation, and other small things like Facebook business manager, boosting posts, Competitors research, manually growth on social media. What would you suggest me to do, so that i can grow or move a little more forward from where i am right now to atleast compete in this field.
Switch to a new job, engage with people on LinkedIn, create gigs on Fiverr and let people come to you for work.
If your existing company doesn’t value you, then look for work in other places.
Don’t expect miracles to happen.
If you don’t promote or broadcast your work/knowledge then nobody will pay you anything.
Money doesn’t come flying from all directions - you have to take steps to attract it in life
