We definitely need more of this type of videos.. and how to tie this information to baits and techniques. And how to use paper maps more

I’ve bass fished my entire life and honestly didn’t learn a ton of information in this video, but I wanted to point out why I can always still watch (and enjoy) your content. There is absolutely ZERO condescending in any of your videos towards those who may not understand what we have learned. You want to teach, you enjoy teaching, and you are great at it. There is nothing wrong with not knowing something, and an old angler like me (or you) knows that you can learn something new that improves your fishing from anyone. I believe that is why you just tell the facts, spill the secrets, and are so sincere. Keep up the great work, praying for you guys.

I have been trying to teach myself for the past couple of years how to develop patterns with the map and how to judge the wind and time of day and it’s overwhelming sometimes. Thanks Matt, and Tim, for sharing a fraction of your knowledge of the sport for people like me that is trying to better themselves in the sport!! 🎣

@tacticalbassin can’t wait for the next how to catch the biggest fish in your lake seminar this year I watch every one at the start of fall and still come away with great info I’m catching 5-7lb Northern largies in my local lake where nothing bigger than 8lbs has ever been caught I think that proves you guys know what your talking about keep up the great work guys appreciate it

SO Valuable. Thank you. Vids about location are precious. Prepping for my first tourney ever at 62, on Chick. Using my Lakemaster maps to learn as much as I can both on and off water
    Thank you.

I’m a map reader from the military, but learned a lot more from this video. I’ve been waiting for someone who knows what they’re talking about to make one. Great video, and great job on explaining it in dummy terms for people like me 🤣🤣

This is something as a kayak angler primarily that I struggle with. So having a good video to help me understand this is worth it’s weight in gold! I plan on getting out this weekend and just taking 4 or 5 hours to map out the main body of water I fish. Thank you Matt! Now another question would be how to apply these spots and decide what bait to throw

As an entry level & first time boat owner this sort of series is something I need. Not just to catch more fish, but to understand more of what im seeing on my maps. I have been studying depth maps before I head out to the 4 lakes ive tested my magic at. And Im at least pinpointing where I believe the bass will be with the weather & time of year. But to take that and advance on it is what will take me to the next level. I ran and got a Striker 9sv and thew it on the bow since it didnt have a second unit. And just by doing that it allow me to see some immediate changes in contours and depths at my finger tips. That alone has helped. But like someone else has commented, its definitely overwhelming at times. But with more practice success will soon follow.

What a great way to teach videos to people with and without good mapping or any at all. This should definitely be a video series where every season or month you break down random lakes from fans? Even as a tournament Co-Angler using the HummingBird One-Boat Network, has helped me identify where we are at fishing and what it should look like underneath the boat. May take some time to take your phone out and look but, to understand what the boater is looking at really helps me at least, dial into what I should and shouldn't be fishing.

Livescope has taken all the need to learn, develop skills & techniques out of the equation...the days of technique specific talent & skills are pretty much gone, and tournament results are showing this...Anyone can win any tournament at any given lake, at any time because of technology, not skill/talent....the true bass pros, would enjoy a video like this

Im the same way, i cant stand when a guy tries to tell me spots and how to fish a lake. I appreciate his thought to help, but 90% of dock talk is BS. I will listen to how to run the lake or like what end of the lake is clean or dirty, but thats it. I dont want to know anything about fishing. I want to go out and break it down and not have someone else's history making decisions for me
