    Last night I got a really funny run somewhat similar with just attack projectiles. I’ve had a staff that after the update turned into +2 atk proj and +atk spd and just got the Merris homing attack. Got purple atk from Time and purple Force and purple +proj from Fates. Shot 8 projectiles and they homed all over the screen and bounced all around.

    Instead of the poopy T1 legendary gloves you mentioned, you can use regular T2 gloves that roll:
    15 armor
    42 life
    10.8 attack speed
    3900 shard pull
    Edit: also tried this build and it crashed my computer. First time that has happened on my 2 month old fresh comp I built.

    edit edit: The skill in the passive tree that increases damage for each level in casts increases *damage* damage, not cast damage. You can see in the top left of the stat screen. That number gets real high.

      That's a good point, random t2 attack speed gloves are almost certainly better.
      Also I didn't notice that about High Mage, gives me some ideas lol

      @@gamingwithjeff Indeed! Might open some interesting power/status/dash builds. Maybe can even use the Eight Color Staff, who knows. Also, I wonder if cast levels gained from alteration ritual pump High Mage as well....

      @@danhayes2456 I was just messing with it and hit 4700% global damage within the first 5 minutes. Had no defense so I died to bug mages but once I figure it out the build is wild

    I feel like summon count should be sth like +20-25% instead of +1. That way it could reward you with +1 on stuff like dragons if you had enough of them equipped.

    My first full Meris build was a mix of MM and cast on dash. MM ended up still doing the most damage. That being said I don't have the gear to be pushing darkness so I don't know how it would perform up there.

    I could never get magic missles, or attack merris to work. Glad to see this got a win. Suggestion for ya. I've been having a lot of fun with Dash builds using vortex. It does a lot of damage now. My favorite way to do this is shadowshift nixi with Krom, Time, and Justice. With Krom's Dash radius offering, you can pull the mobs around wherever. Vortex is an easy answer to the faster mobs and the bomb dudes since you can pull them in and they can't run away. Just make sure you have 10+ banishes to start.

      Are you using eternal darkness or the extra dash capstone talent?

      @@gamingwithjeff I use eternal darkness. I don't see why the extra dash talent is helpful. With my gear, I have been able to stay in Shadowshift for 30 seconds. Not everytime mind you.

    Was also thinking attack speed would be good until I noticed you were only casting magic missles every other attack starting at 8:37, checked and turns out it does in fact have a cd that you're increasing every time you take a cast level. Obviously still performs well, but I think that means you definitely don't have to worry about scaling attack speed unless maybe speed would scale better than that one cast damage passive.
    Edit to say, drops to one trigger every 3 attacks at 29:20. Still melted boss so w/e. Maybe scale velocity and range to make the projectiles better at finding targets but idk.

    I'd suggest you spend 1 in Energize and 4 on Arcane Int instead of 5 on Molten Hot. Energize pretty much gives you a "free" attack after every dash.

    Alteration ritual might be super good with this - could randomly get extra leveled casts and stuff. Idk if it can go over your max slots but imagine

    15:00 tried doing a Scepter of Rasis build too, but you can't get radiance when its already built into that staff. Had something like +300'ish % to power dmg just in items, and it was just underhwelming.

      I think the best part of the staff is actually the +100% regen

    For optimizing, how about Summer (cast damage), Lightning (double attacks) and Mort (sickles that apply attack triggers) + any casts from these gods? or should we prioritize Casts with projectiles?

      Generally, anytime you would take summer ( unless focusing on one of her spells), Krom is going to work better because God of War is so strong.
      double attack and Sickles are interesting. I'll have to revisit this build and see what's best.

      @@gamingwithjeff There seems to be a hidden internal cooldown to Magic Missiles, as evident when we increase our attack speed (or, as CD time increases globally): MM only triggers every 2nd attack. It would then seem logical to conclude that the sickles and double attack won't trigger MM. I tried it yesterday and the double attack procs didn't seem to double my missile output.

    Maybe go Fire god for att speed! Up to +70%! Then I guess its just time god and justice god for the other 2. Let missiles do all the work and fire away

      It should also be noted that Summer gets the increased cast damage as well.
      Also Mort or Ninh can take the place of justice if needed for you to reach the 4 casts cap

      Apparently there is a CD on magic middle so later in the run they weren't firing every attack. Summer is probably worth it just for cast damage, potentially summers attack with Winter for Hoarfrost and as many status as possible

      @@gamingwithjeff this actually means that there is an exact point of attack speed that is optimal where even .01 seconds faster will result in attack more often than the cooldown and actually getting FEWER magic missile procs(the magic number assuming no cd reduction is .33 seconds, given that base is .57 seconds it is 72% more attack speed) assuming 15% cooldown from talent tree, it takes 98% attack speed. With another 10% on gear it becomes 115% attack speed.
      Summer has 70% attack speed, meaning that ANY more attack speed on top is going to result in the issue, which changes what you pick at locations(where there are a lot of atk spd locations), if you run the cooldown talent, you could hit maybe one attack speed location, two or three if you are also running cooldown gear.
      It is for this reason this build is ultra sensitive to buffs to attack speed or to cooldown that may happen in future patches.
      Long story short a bit of cooldown is almost mandatory to make the build work properly after maxed fury + a few locations(or you can just refuse to pick the attack speed option on them), projectile number is important too. Summer+Winter+Justice are the picks.
      But no matter what, it requires you to track your attack speed and cooldown rate throughout the run
