Iron Maiden are heavy metal, but they are much more too. Influences come from Deep Purple and early Genesis with Peter Gabriel. So you are correct in your assessment.

I know, right?!!!! I don't mind mini lp sleeves at all as long as they are quality and larger ones like Japanese mini lps sleeves, but those Classic Album 5 cd set are HORRIBLE!!!!! It's a shame too because they put some great albums in those set releases. I wish they did them all with Jewel cases as well.

Dude i have never heard of a better discrption about maiden!!! Maiden has more classical influences than the bluesy riffs like sabbath had or some of the other nwobh bands.That box set is so cool i have only 2 cds from the set because over here they are selling them as individuals.Love your vids man.Cheers and sorry if my english is bad

Maiden is a "loud,electric orchestra" huh? very well said,but i think that's what ELO was going for! i remember watching an interview with Nikki Sixx where he described all Maiden's music as being just like the theme song to Bonanza! i like Maiden,but i still laughed for 3 days... i don't remember u reviewing Shine On.love that set with the black cases and bonus disc.i'd love to see some of your vinyl box sets as well.

Iron Maiden? Nah. I think the officially fall under the New Wave of British Heavy Metal for me. Granted they have more of a symphonic type approach and no palm muting....certainly more NWBHM than Progressive rock IMO.

Have you checked out the Saxon Box Set Carere Years? You might like it. Also Robin Trower has 2 Box Sets- A Tale Untold & Farther Up The Road-that you might want to check out. UFO-The Chrysalis Years with Michael Schenker on guitar 1973-1979 is worth a listen as well.
Yeah, I've see the Saxon and UFO set. I would like to get them both. Just haven't been a huge priority for me loll Hopefully one day I'll stumble across them for a great price :)

bruce's solo stuff is a must and the band he started in before maiden wanted him was called samson MY intro into the voice of bruce d. samson with him is great! they got rid of original maiden singer sadly cos he was more punk rock yet ppl hail the cds still! they kicked paul out cos they seen bruce at the samson show and wanted that singer/style bruce was down and number of the beast was born...
Oh, I always thought they kicked Paul out because of his drug abuse. Yes, Maiden was more rock and punk with him, but also great, just a different style.
Is not official product. Looks very nice, box and cds. The box is beautiful, the CDs have the interiors as original. The problem and many cds have songs with problems. In some songs, the cd stops, it jumps part of some songs and it is as if the cd was scratched. I tested it on different CD players. Anyone else had this problem?

I figured they just released them as a series but I should have known since they make a picture when you put them side by side. I already have 75% of them so I'm too far in. Oh well. You are not to far in. I have a few of these before I saw the set. Just sell them on ebay and use that money to purchase the set. I bet you will easily break even if you already have 75% of them
I just double checked and I actually only have 5 of the 12 but either way you're absolutely right, I can sell those and that would pay for more than half the box. I'm looking on ebay and the set only goes for $50-$60 but the single CDs go for $7-$8. Thanks man. Definitely gonna subscribe too, you seem to know your music real well

You can get copy in awesome condition like this or copy with errors in sound and errors on booklet printing. But I must to admit, this CD's looks very convincing like originals.

They are progressive rock. Killers remains my favourite, there is something special about the Di'anno era.

They are pretty good. Really just your average type jewel case cds. Nice full inserts though. No one or two page insert sleeves.
