This is part of our Afternoon Astonishment series: a brand new show from Conjuror Community designed to bring you magic when it counts the most.
We’ve been hosting ‘online events’ for over 6 years...so you could say we’ve had a LOT of practice for the unprecedented global situation we’re all facing. Now, we want to share that expertise with the world-to make sure you continue enjoying and learning magic, from the safety of your home.
We recently decided to host Live ‘daytime’ events for our members stuck at home, called Afternoon Astonishment. These events were such a hit with members, we decided to open them up to EVERYONE by offering them free on our RUclips channel.
But this is just a TINY sample of what we’re doing inside the Conjuror Community Club.
At CC Club, our members are discovering, sharing and jamming magic DAILY.

I remember seeing this bird act when it first aired here in the U.K.
I looked forward to every Wednesday night for the “best of magic”,I was only about 14 yrs old then and I think I had Tommy’s manuscript when he was called Jos Bema. Brilliant

Did you know that David Copperfield used to go through a trap door 3 times a night? But that was just a stage he was going through!

Like the needle trick, that was one of the strange things about Resturaunt work: you would do the $5 to $100 trick for 4 grown ups and somehow they equate that with "WOW"... do you do Birthday parties for 4 year olds?" and your like "What?!...sure I do"!

Thats what they said to Jesus after he turned water into wine: "Do you do children's parties?" (Rowan Atkinson)

Copperfield does the Orange, lemon, egg...bird on one of his specials. Tommy's is great. I like everything about Tommy's, but I think the bird interrupting went on a little too much. I have seen this performance before. As magicians we make decisions, we all don't agree and that is okay. If you look at all of Tommy Wonder's work, I believe he is what a real magician is and used to be about. I will never reach his perfection!

I never liked drapery, it takes you out of the magic immediately. Copperfield was all about the giant stage tricks, that you always know are just gimmicks. That is why I was more of a Doug Henning fan. His close up work was always more amazing (he was kind of hokey in his way too, but it was the horrid 1970s ha ha). 😎
