Drone footage of a scrapyard fire in Peterborough

Four crews from Dogsthorpe, Stanground, Yaxley and the Peterborough Volunteers together with a water carrier from Ramsey attended a large fire in Fourth Drove, Fenland, involving scrap metal items on Friday 5 March 2021.
Local residents and businesses were asked to keep doors and windows closed if affected by the smoke.
Crews used three jets and two hose reels to extinguish the fire with the help of on site machinery to move parts of the pile.
The fire was out by 10.50pm and the last crew left the scene around 11.10pm after ensuring there were no hotspots remaining.
The cause was accidental.
