Twice has one of the most diverse concept for girl groups..and they are not repetitive.. Your just some bunch of idiot spreading false information... Sometimes staying with the same concept isn't just a "safe move" but a smart one, taking risks is good but in a very hard industry like Kpop it's difficult to know when and if the netizens will grow a liking to the new concepts. That's why most companies try to stay with the same concept for title tracks but try to give a different vibe for some of the bsides
Keeping the same concept is a saving to the company too. They can recycle the background element and performing clothes
Red Velvet would be an obvious exception.

The ReVe Festival - Day 1 was also the biggest seller out of the trilogy.
I don't have anything against TWICE and GFRIEND being repititive because that's how I love them but I do agree with some people and they need to change a little.

TWICE has done many different concepts and plus majority of their b-sides sound different than the title track,, for example ’SCIENTIST’ is cute but their b-sides are a mix between different concepts. take HELLO and 1,3,2 as an example. they’re different. i don’t get why the creator of the video keeps complaining about everything--

They got back to Scientist from a mature concept and yes, it's cute. But listen to the whole album, it's not all cute. Icon, Cruel, F.I.L.A, Last Walt, Espresso, and Hello is such a bomb. Those track are all cooolll. So, this comeback is not really a hundred percent cutesy again. But if ever it is all cutesy again, I accept it cause I'm a ONCE and I love TWICE.
Actually in twice it is a good thing that They are having a cute concept as this concept is no more relevant in kpop groups and IT IS THE GENRE OF TWICE so the only problem is having literally 3-6 comebacks a year .

You can never fully satisfy everyone. Most of these groups use each their signature formula because those are what works best for them. They've done great and these surely made them what they are now.

I agree with this and i would say that apart from likey and TT which always sounded the same to me, twice's concept feels fresh in a new world of kpop with almost no groups going for a cute look, and also yes they have had quite a few mature concepts. As for gfriend I don't have much to say about them because I'm not a huge listener. Itzy's dalla dalla and wannabe sound very similar to me and the instrumentals sound almost identical however I would say the rest of their songs don't sound the same and they have moved away from the "being myself" thing like 3 comebacks ago. Everglows 2 tracks Adios and DUN DUN are practically the same song from formula to actual sound but the rest of their songs dont sound like this and have a good variety. This also goes for momolands Bboom Bboom and BAAM which was obviously the same song on remix lol. I would say that apart from a few songs all these groups have an original sound and their music isn't repetitive.

"Their golden era was still very far gone" Maybe it's not their golden era anymore. But they still shine, to their achievements this year, like the wins, the records they broke like FOL being the Top rated gg album in Metacritics, The Feels, the sold out tickets in North America, and etc.

There's always been an era for GFriend:
2015 - 2017: Powerful Innocent
(Glass Bead, Me Gustas Tu, Rough, Navillera, Love Whisper)
2017 - 2019: Passionate Melancholy
(Summer Rain, Time for the Moon Night, Memoria, Sunrise, Fallin' Light) Crossroads is in 2020 but still fall in this category
2019 - 2020: Mature
(Fever, Flower, Apple, MAGO)
With that being said, GFriend had more songs that fall in the Melancholy concept but since they're mostly known for their Innocent concept, people tend to associate it with them. When they tried something different with FINGERTIP, people were saying that they shouldn't change concept.

TWICE is basically one of the only GG that actually incorporate multiple genres in their songs (euroHouse + vintage for TT, Mexican acid cabaret + Bossa Nova for Alcohol-free, Synthwave for "I can't stop me", tropical/jungle electro beat for More&More, to 80s JPop/Vaporwave for the latest Doughnut).
Scientist is really the only repetitive one, but they more than made for it in the rest of their album, as it has the most experimentation the group has ever done since creation, and it's by far their best compilation.
People focusing only on "concept", would be baffling, considering the plethora of other famous groups mainly focused on girls crush with predictive electro pop mixes, with random Spanish word thrown around, to make it sound exotic.

Just stup up. BLACKPINK concept is GIRL CRUSH but they have Different STYLES in every song. Does Boombayah, whistle, PWF, Stay, LSG sounds same? No they are not. ICE CREAM and AFYL has same concept but the style is different. Ofcourse D4, KTL sounds same but different style and you can recognize the songs easily. There concept is GIRL CRUSH but they have Different STYLES in very Comeback. Just shut up hater. Channel's narrater mentioned BLACKPINK sets new race among 3rd GEN girl groups with GIRL crush concept. Around the start of 3rd GEN many groups didn't follow GIRL CRUSH concept. I personally think that TWICE have been doing so well with their variety of concepts. They still do their basic concept in Scientist but they also have The Feels, Perfect World, More and More, etc. They are slowing letting go their earlier cute concept as in TT but seems like some people ignore that effort.
I really hate to see how people easily say “TWICE golden era is over, this is new generation’. Wait until TWICE members busy with future career and they will whine how they miss TWICE. Twice is 3rd gen legendary group.

Twice are not repetitive. You should check out their album formula of love. It's their decision to try whatever concept. Their nice and catchy music is one of the things that make them different from other groups. They are a legend and they still have to achieve many things.There are groups who stick to girl crush concept or dark concept and it's their decision. Maybe they seem repetitive to some because of many comeback this year. They also have tried summer concept (alcohol free), elegant concept (doughnut) and girl crush concept (perfect world) this year. That's all what I know.
@Madeline Leiser There B-sides are very diverse, it's there lead singles that always have a similar bubblegum/dance-pop sound. This style what makes TWICE who they are and different from other groups.
It is very difficult for TWICE to fully mature there concept 100% to the point where there is no bubblegum/dance-pop sounds because TWICE is very well known for there cute music and done this type of music for most of there careers. If TWICE changed there concept to a concept similar to BP, ITZY, or Aespa, it would will upset a lot of fans and they will start to lose popularity. Many fans will say "This is not there style".

There Japanese comebacks always have good mvs and line distribution. Where in most of there Korean comebacks, the mvs are bad and line distribution is unfair especially I Can't Stop Me where Nayeon and Jihyo got so many lines while the other members got very little lines and there was too much green screen in the mv. JYP needs HYBE's marketing team, vocal coaches from SM, and YG's mv production team.

HYBE has only just BTS who are popular , once bts are in military, HYBE will make a lot of losses . People are being unreasonable again. TWICE concept is one of the kpop's pride. You can't deny that their cute songs are so addictive and easy to sing along with. What's wrong with that!? What's more important is they're successful on their concept.
It was fine as long as they were only famous in Korea, where being cute is like nice, innocent and sweet. But in the Western culture women in their mid 20s acting that cute full of cringe.
This is not my opinion. I have been a fan of kpop since 2011 when no one around me knew about them so it's not a problem to me but it to newer fans.
So u gotta change to adapt. Older fans can relate but newer fans find these cute concepts fake and disgusting.

They were among the top 5 most popular groups in the West since 2017 songs like Likey and Heart Shaker increased their fandom in USA, not to forget that they entered Hot 100 with The Feels which is a cute concept, so Twice is the only exception among kpop gg's who became famous in the West through cute concepts.

honestly, for me Blackpink has a formula that is just as repetitive as Twice, many times a group maintains a single style to please the fans. Just look at the BP album, the song that repeated their formula [Pretty Savage] was the most relevant. I speak from my perspective of blink and once.

But to be honest I think that the Mafia in the morning era and onwards was not revolving around the same concept of I love me and I am different. Because in Loco and Mafia in the morning era it was revolving around them liking someone saying that they can capture they’re heart. So I think that their concept is changing to a more girl crush concept talking about love and how they are amazingly suited for that person. Basically with time I think that they’re concept is evolving.

How was twice being repetitive? Cute and bubbly concept what? They literally served us different concepts these past few years. If you are not a fan, haven't watched how they perform their songs in their concerts or at least a casual listener of their songs including their b-sides, ofc you wouldn't notice these.
I actually love seeing TWICE doing bubbly concepts, I became a fan because of their catchy songs. That was how they started and cemented their reputation in the industry. And TWICE literally became a genre because of their earlier concepts, they owned it.
TWICE wants to make people happy with their songs. Like how 'Feel Special' has a lively beat despite its lyrics. And I wouldn't mind listening to these 'repetitive' songs as long as they are happy and they srsly make me smile no matter what.

And then a Lisa rap and theny the same repeat and a last chorus that sounds as few increments were added in the background of the main chorus and giving it a title of the final chorus. This was in jennie's solo and how you like that.

And if I may add, (bec. I used to listen to their music a lot until I discovered a gg w/ a more diverse discography) their songs have very thin layers in terms of adlibs, 2nd voice, etc.. it's very 2 dimensional like if one has to sing, the others should stay quiet and wait for their turn.. hardly hear harmonies. Choruses have always been carried by powerful instrumentals. (I'm not sure if I made sense but that's the best way I can objectively explain how I feel about their music)

Boombayah is a very upbeat song with a girl crush concept and amazing rap while as whistle is has electronic instrumental and is not same as boombayah. Then pwf it's so different from whistle and boombayah, stay is a very calm song with guitars instrumental so yeah it's also not same . Aiiyl is a summer song with a cute concept and is definitely not same as other song DDU DU DDU DU is also a girl crush song but it's very mature then there other songs until DDU DU DDU DU plus I don't think it's similar to any other song of there's. Some people say that ktl and hylt are same lol . It's not the only common thing is that the concept is same badass but the song are different and now you cannot say that ice cream and lsg are same please they are opposite of eachother.

Gfriend songs gives off that kind of "vibe" that you cannot feel to the other songs. Gfriend is one of the group that can really pull off that kind of genre. Next comeback PWF and stay does it sounds same. Ofcourse D4 , KTL and HYLT sounds same but not the same thing . You can find difference in it. AFYL and ICE CREAM same concept does it sounds same. People would never really know unless they are a hardcore stan coz there's more to a group than just their title tracks. I do know they are title tracks for a reason.
