No habia escuchado esta version hasta ahora. No podemos negar que Luis Cino es un excelente trompetista, ya estuvo con Yanni en el Taj Mahal pero interpretando otro tema como solista. Y que Lindsay hace una version en el violin muy buena...pero no...esa version original de Pedro y Karen es extraordinaria e irrepetible...We miss them....
Obviously the original song had a lot of feel and emotion... If this version is also mixed in that way it will sound very good.. She has her own style and a lot of energy. The piano sound in this is so close to the actual version and sounds better than that..Yanni always finds the best musicians...
That's your "priming" perception and it molded your taste and preference. Watch it again and listen carefully. No bad musician has a place in Yanni's band. You can have your preference for one or another performer, but don't let it scramble your judgment about performance. It is two completely different things. Regards

Ojala algun dia Yanni saque un DVD del Ethnicity Tour.. el ultimo gran periodo de sus giras (a mi opinion) con los mejores musicos que participaron en su banda (a mi opinion tambien) fue ahi cuando KAREN, PEDRO y RIC Fierabracci aparecieron por vez ultima.. y cuando Samwel y Victor Espinola se incorporaron

I don't want to judge, but I love Yanni's music like i was born with it. The same did happen at his concert in Indonesia recently, the violinist's expression was too overwhelming and she seemed trying to look stand out....resulting no harmony to Yanni's music. I tried to ignore it and to understand Yanni's choice for several times but still, the violinist's performance disappointed me in so many ways. Miss the old team, they really did understand how to deliver Yanni's music...

Charlie Adams (baterista), Sarah O'brien y Alexander Zhiroff (chelistas) son los unicos musicos que me he dado cuenta que siguen con Yanni desde hace años, no los cambia. El trompetista la rompió, es un poco mas dificil tocar trompeta que el saxo soprano.
Al escuchar ésta melodía indudablemente la comparamos con lo hecho por Briggs y Pedro pero no se puede criticar tan severo a estos músicos el trompetista genial y Lindsay la toco a su estilo personal indudablemente con menos recursos que Briggs pero se oye bien

Something is wrong with her timing. I feel written out solos cheapen and limit the music. Perhaps it might’ve been better if she and trumpet player played their own improvisation. Huge fan of Yanni’s music.
