  • 1987 Chevrolet Silverado K10/K30 Lifted Square Body 4x4 Classic. This interior is 2023 model condition, brand new gauges with tack system, touchscreen stereo, heat and AC controls, brand new door panels headliner seat buttons knobs clips even the proper screws everywhere. On top of that all air condition fresh and new from front to back compressor lines all just replaced, extremely solid body that appears to have never had any rust. All trim and rubbers replaced around the doors, power windows, locks work perfect everything disassembled cleaned and greased properly and replaced, perfect glass with no scratches and sliding rear window. The bed supports are crisp and perfect, floor pans perfect, sitting on 12 inches of suspension lift with Fox shocks, 14 bolt rear differential with disc brake conversion, front and rear finned aluminum diff covers, Dana 60 front differential with crossover steering as well as proper angle track bar adjustable and joint system, Offroad design gable shackles, steel induction hood, dual exhaust with Flowmaster, spray in bedliner, 39 inch boggers in brand new condition with 15 by 16 deep offset real wheels, Warn front hubs, no leaks underneath, tubular headers, chrome transmission pan, updated oversized driveshaft and the list could go on. Keep up the videos. I appreciate them. As well as the value of these trucks. Most people commenting on price aren’t your customers anyways. Unfortunately it’s easy to throw shade at things when they don’t have one themselves and can’t afford one. Instead of just appreciating what your videos are trying to show. Great truck. Inspiring to see these. Mine may never be to that quality but I enjoy them.

      Really appreciate somebody that is realistic. Again we can only wish the times were different when these trucks were cheap but at the same time they were never free or free to work on or free to upgrade. If you take to consideration what things cost back then and what things cost now these are actually probably a bargain when you really chop it down, thanks for being understanding and we will for sure continue to bring good content

      @@DavisOffRoad1 I agree whole heartedly. I own my own business and can relate. What can you get anymore for 1$? (Nothing) and what’s the first multiplication we learn in elementary school. 0 x anything = what again? It is unfortunate. But at this point these are toys and a privilege. Not entitled to have giant lifted up trucks that are impractical. It’s a rich man’s game. You guys are doing great at bringing quality trucks to the public eye at a good value. I truly enjoy seeing them and find it encouraging. Maybe mine will look like these one day. Or maybe I’ll even get smart. Sell it. Not waste my time and come buy one from you lol if I had the lump sum I would in an instant.

      I am sure Davis Off Road has passed way more trucks,be them square body type or what ever as well as myself doing probably way more body-off--frame and on-frame work but whatever both of us have done it has been a pride based relationship with the customer. Before you go judging them, their work or me and my work of 41 years of building '67-'72 Chevy 4x4's you better get some degree of selling restored classics. You can't just go and fly off a statement like that with no merit to it. It looks to me ( although we DO have some disagreement on issues it looks to me like they have alot of knowledge on that year truck. Lets see some impact you've had on the 4x4 world ---then we can talk. Until then I'd cool the comments !!!!!!!!!! Jim

    The reuck is worth only $30,000 to people who actually know these trucks. It's a nice truck , but it's still a half ton. C/K 30's have a taller frame made from 1/4 inch plate steel where 3/4 and 1/2 used 3/16th inch plate steel and they are shorter (meaning a 1 ton truck has a higher ride height like a Ford high boy.) Not only that all 1 tons come with a 32 spline np205 transfer case unless it was a 1, 1/4 ton CUCV M1008 or M1010 military use D30. Yeah, you might suckered in a rube where you live, but people who know these trucks aren't suckered

    • @DavisOffRoad1
      @DavisOffRoad1  6 месяцев назад +3

      Not knocking your response so dont take offense but We are very very well aware of the differences. This truck had just been finished. The lift wheels and tires all brand new and axle upgrade with large shafts (20,000) The body and paint also just finished (15,000) fully refurbished interior with all new stereo and ac components (15000) So it sold for 50 that leaves zero value for the actual truck and motor trans etc and all the other upgrades.. If you havnt seen the other videos where we expain we have owned touched and modified more squarebodys than anyone across the planet....Race jumped crashed, set records, daily driven and shown them, chopped them into a million pieces and restored to the highest levels... 2" lifts to over 30" lifts, This truck sold soon as posted. We know the value of these and what it takes to build them. Your point is valid but nobody buys these for the towing factor once modded. We love a true one ton and yes they are rare we have a crew cab k30 1988 leaving out sold this morning.

    • @DavisOffRoad1
      @DavisOffRoad1  Месяц назад

      Really ??? Please inform us to the knowledge that we don’t know … such as diff frame and rear spring length ? We are well aware it has one ton axles it’s not a one ton

    • @roostercogburn122
      @roostercogburn122 Месяц назад +1

      @@DavisOffRoad1 Well the one ton frame is actually thicker and taller under the cab area vs the half or three quarter ton trucks( 8" on the 1 ton vs 6" on the 1/2 and 3/4 ton).
      Spring length makes no difference because it's lifted. Rear differential is from a 3/4 ton because the shocks are mounted outside of the frame vs inside on a 1 ton( different spring perch widths).

    • @DavisOffRoad1
      @DavisOffRoad1  Месяц назад

      Yes, you are correct and we are well aware of those things. The title is for keyword purposes so people search and find it. It was sold on the paperwork as a K-10 conversion truck is what it was. Good eyes on the shockmounts. Typically the same axle just different spring perch width etc unless it was a Dana 70-80 vehicle

    I will say one thing---modesty is definately not your strong point !!!!!!!!!!! I think (just say'in) it would probably ride a bit better with your viewers if you'd tone her down a hair. Just retired last year. My shop here in Iowa has done just short of 400 body-off and body-on restorations, featured in "Peterson's Off Road " magazine as well as won a shelf full of car and truck trophys in my office. Last sale we did was sent two 1969's and one 1971 3/4 ton 4x4 to Alberta Canada to the same man. My point is bud---there are OTHER damn good builders out there besides your set-up!!!!! I make it a point to tone down my self accomplishments, not ramp them up. Makes you out to come off as a little better person--I THINK !!!! Jim p.s. even though I disagree a bit with your video tone, I still gave you a thumbs up. Can't take that away from you, the inventory you roll with looks very clean.

      We never boasted that we’re the only one, but just like yourself we have touched about 15,000 trucks with lift kits and other items so we have seen the good the bad the ugly and we sure know what to look for… and put a lot of pride in our work as well as lots of magazine, cover trucks over the years as well as Sema builds. We appreciate you following along. We support all shops that do good work. It’s just unfortunate that most don’t take the time or the pride in what they do here.

      Appreciate the input thought. If you saw the failures that arrive daily in our shop leaving from others you would understand what may come off as over the top or cocky… but it’s really more confidence and pride. Close to 1500 units leave our hands yearly between the car lot and the shop so we do run across a LOT of craziness neglect and negligent workmanship. Nobody is perfect but people sure should have more pride in what they do… the old saying you get what you pay for still lives true
