The torch has been passed down along the line of famous blues musicians such as Muddy Waters to B.B. King, Buddy Guy,Eric Clapton and so on who are all great musicians and so is Mr. Joe Bonamassa. All of his music and his idols is a great rockin time to me!!!
Not to mention the late Stevie Ray Vaughan

Joe is just FABULOUS and his "guitar hero" status is very well deserved, along side such greats as Clapton, SRV, Beck, and all of the other legendary pioneers he has exhaustively studied and now meticulously emulates. He is literally a "walking blues museum", keeping the best blues traditions before us while simultaneously being himself, all without getting in the way in any degree whatsoever. He is simply a JOY both to watch and hear! Thanks for a GREAT video! I'm sure I'll watch this at least umpteen dozen times. :)

So Enjoyed the Evening on the Rockin Pool Deck! Joe and Band were hitting on All Cylinders! Had Mom and Dad, and Roy in attendance. He played like it!

Adding my gratitude to Linda for the great camera work and sound. Have to say I'm uncomfortable with the word "tribute" in this context because, IMO, it suggests Joe Bonamassa is somehow subservient to, not quite as good as, Clapton, Beck and Page. Personally, I think he's at least equal ranking as a guitarist ... except he's younger and more room to grow than them! Plus, I think *they* could to be doing tribute tracks to his vocals!
Graham Nelson Hi Graham, I completely agree. I only use tribute because too many naysayers complain that he plays only covers and he’s copying Clapton or JP. There are a lot of clueless people out there. Lol.

What an awesome first cruise of my life, other than nearly 9 months with the Canadian Navy fixing Sea King Helicopters... Thanks, see ya next year with the Black Country Communion! Phreddieboy I use a lumix camera and I sometimes use a monopod to hold the camera still, or over someone who is tall and blocking the view~ otherwise, I just hold the camera as still as I can~ but that's not always possible~ especially when you want to dance!! Lol
Glad he did not have Bandstand in front of him this time. Is very tough to dance on the pool deck!

Can someone please tell me what he does with strings @ 20:55. Thank you. Jim
Previous to 20:55 he was using a technique called 'bending behind the nut'. So that involves applying pressure or pulling on the string to change the pitch at a point beyond the nut or the top end of the neck. Sometimes doing this will bring the instrument (that string) out of tune but kinda giving it one more push or pull will bring it back a bit most of the time. He 'might' have been doing that. OR when he was previously employing that trick the string may have come out of the guide channel on the nut. He just slipped it back in there. My money is on that because it has happened to me countless times especially on the tele which has a vey low nut and channel to get the best action. Jimmy Page employs that trick in the begging of 'Dazed and Confused" to raise the pitch of the harmonics. Country guys have been doing that masterfully forever. I hope that clears it up for ya. Rock on.
