Hey just now getting to making this deck full power now that the festival is over, why don't you use Ice Barrier and Foolish Burial Goods? Goods is live unless you open both, and Ice barrier Is good as a Revealer discard, or to set as backup. Either way it's a card for card trade of Wayne, Georgius, or most importantly IceJade Ran Aegirin. Basically Goods and any water to discard is a lvl 10 right off the bat. Am I missing a good reason not to play it?

The spellbreaker version generally plays with priority the combo of "winds over the ice barrier" spell, and usually blocks the croco dragon combo, it forces you to use mirror mage to search winds rather than other ice barrier cards. Both are acutally interchangeable with pros and cons(1) warlock is active only when there is another ice barrier on the field but otherwise a continuous effect while spellbreaker requires a discard or a revealer in the grave (using revealer's effect as a cost instead); (2) warlock is generally summoned during enemy turn using lancea which still gives your opponent time to use spells, spellbreaker forces you to use winds spell on mirror mage's tokens to special summon her and revealer (if you don't have one in grave or field) and make plays from there (3) warlock's 1000 def makes him vulnerable from attacks while spellbreaker being an activating effect makes her vulnerable to veiler/imperm/gamma/mourner. Personally I use spellbreaker because I've been plagued by super poly/droplet/triple tactics etc as I wait for them to special summon so I can bring out warlock from the deck, and they also just attack him when I do summon him via the winds spell combo then proceed to use said spells.
Also, spellbreaker is not really restricting you and can be outed same as warlock, both effects are only active as long as they are on the field, if you can link/tribute/synchro off spellbreaker, you can use spells normally again, usually I just summon a mirror mage and tribute her and use my spells again.

15:58 For example. Warlock isn‘t active here because Lancea isn‘t an Ice Barrier monster such as Trish or Brio. So the opponent would have been able to activate spells until Lancea triggers to summon an Ice Barrier monster.

Chills 🥶 i find it so cool how there's an extra atk position switch eff on Lancea, showing how small additional effects can actually have decent impact!

I'm genuinely surprised with this deck preforming so well for you. Is it very skill testing or difficult? Do you think someone could pick it up and learn relatively quick? Thanks for everything lex. We appreciate you so much

It might be worth it to play Zealantis as a way to use the Water locking as a board wipe, Marincess tends to use that tactic a lot against big boards of monsters.

for warlock in the second game, it wouldnt of been able to stop a spell card right away because you dont have another ice barrier monster. Still great video, lets see runick ice barrier maybe ?

  • @TMDtwista

The reason why they play the spellbreaker is cause of the line with the guy that lets u banish from gy flr pitch effs and you special her on your turn so you end on ancestral dragon and no spells on their turn

Ice Barrier looks very playable, the thing is since it's not some overhyped thing like Yubel or VV people seem to have ignored it. Though that honestly helps with making it difficult for people to find its choke points, which is also helping with its success rates.

That's why I want to build it. I finished building raidraptors and I'm down to 4000 gems but I feel like this deck COULD get more support in the future and because it's so under-the-radar, it might be slightly harder to know where the choke points are.

I really like the deck I'm also was playing warlock because of the same reason but I'm playing it at 3 to discard it and during my opponent turn I can summon georgius with lancea effect which going to summon warlock and like that I end on 3 floodgates not just 2

I think you misspoke in this. Lancea 2nd effect doesn't trigger if bounced or spun. Monsters usually can't activate effects in the deck, same ruling as Mirrorjade.

I’m sorry but that Dino player was foolish. You always activate the fusion trap ASAP with Intact for protection against Ash.
You Dinomorpha or Lab you have to assume they may have an ash
