You probably grew up thinking that there wasn’t much substance to a Nintendo princess but that might change after this video. We’re here to tell you that the modern-day princess you used to know is gone, and we’ve been lied to about their true identities. Ever since the beginning we were led to believe that the female characters were destined to be helpless damsels in distress. Take for instance the original character of Pauline in Donkey Kong--she wasn’t given much of a backstory but she looked an awful lot like Peach. Some gamers don’t consider Princess Rosalina as a princess but after hearing confirmation that the godfather of the Super Mario Galaxy had BIGGER plans for Rosalina; we started to wonder if she didn’t have royal ties that we weren’t being told about. If our revelation that Zelda was actually Sheik taught us anything; it was that princesses are not all created equally and they’re certainly not all helpless damsels in distress. It’s finally confirmed, in case you were wondering that Princess Peach and Princess Toadstool were not two different characters but a mistake in translating the name for the U.S. version. Also, Peach’s Parasol is a functional accessory that also matches her dress perfectly. Peach is also one of the only princesses that has her own secret slide in her bedroom--something we only dreamed of having in our own. If you were curious Zelda isn’t the name of one character, but it’s actually a title given to every princess in the Zelda series. Daisy isn’t your typical boring stereotypical princess; in fact, she’s got spunk and spirit and is even referred to as a tomboy in her debut appearance. You probably always felt that Princess Wendy O. Koopa was a kindred spirit to you, and if not then maybe the fact that she was named after Wendy O. Williams of the punk rock band The Plasmatics will change your mind. Princess Shroob is so good at disguises that she even fooled Bowser into believing that she was princess Peach. That seems like a pretty difficult challenge for a simple damsel in distress to undertake.

Even though Peach and Rosalina may have similar facial expressions it doesn't make them related. In fact I already know that Rosalina can't be Peach's daughter as Peach is meant to be 24 years old and Rosalina is 150 years old. Daisy is supposed to be 23 years. So I would say they're just friends. So Daisy, Peach and Rosalina are just 3 good ol' Princess friends together.
Daisy IS a tomboy, she likes sports, she is energetic, loud, competitive, not refined at all, not afraid to get dirty, more coincided to be better than the others rather than do the princess or more coincided to win the chanpionship rather than spent time with friends.
Pauline is not a princess neither is Wendy.
The title of the video is a mistake, it's suppose to be facts you never KNEW.

Even rewatching the Super Mario Bros Movie got me thinking about how either Nintendo or the director of the movie said that Daisy was the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Hello!!! Anyone thinking! Peach is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom (however it was a pretty amazing movie in my opinion due to the fact that they had everything from the oldest Super Mario Bros to the Super Mario 64).

Regarding Peach and Toadstool being different characters, I don't think so. I think she looks different because the cartoonists looked at the games instead, Mario 2 including. How else Bowser/King Koopa looks green with a crown? (Also, the Koopalings are just minions, not Bowser's kids, and I'm not sure they're royalty either.)

In The Legend of Zelda, only one Link travels through time. He is known as the Hero of Time, and is featured in 4 games I think. Seeing how there are more than 20 Nintendo-made LoZ games, you can assume most of the Zeldas/Links that appear in them are different from game to game. This makes even more sense if you know that there is an official timeline(s) to the series that spans thousands of years.
Imagine if Nintendo said that Peach is playable in NSMBW, NSMBU, SMO, and SMM2 in their commercials.

Rosalina being Peach's mother is a theory, though being very solid (as usual with Game Theory), Super Princess Peach is (i'm fairly sure) non-canonical, Zelda is a fucking MAGIC princess, Super Mario RPG is (i'm fairly sure) also non-canonical, as well as the Smash Bros. series of games, the "I" is a "1" as featured on almost EVERY EARLY-GAME STAR DOOR, Daisy is not a "tomboy", but is competitive and/or just more athletic, The Koopa one is not a lie, and the Princess Shroob one is also not a lie (technically).
But I don't get how you think SPP and Mario RPG aren't canon....

Daisy (and even Rosalina, Pauline, and Zelda) will always be my favorites. Daisy as Peach re-skin in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U?!? Unacceptable!
