I’m so interested in slow/sustainable fashion but haven’t had the time, energy, or money lately to invest in a new wardrobe yet. I’m in my last year of school before I start teaching, so it feels like now is the time to start fresh! These ideas are so helpful! And I’m obsessed with the jewelry 🤍
Sustainability is SO expensive, both financially and energy output. You’ve got this!! I’m so excited for you! That’s such an exciting time, youtube was a huge help to me in preparing for my first year. There are videos on everything. Also advice I wish I’d gotten is not to spend all your money on school stuff before you get your first paycheck. I thought I had to go all out before I even got paid but it’s okay to take your time, better even! Keep me posted on your journey, I’m rooting for you! ❤️
10/10!! what you said about being comfortable and able to move around without thinking about it is so important for me too. Ultimately, I‘d chose that over a trendy outfit any day. Your lip color is beautiful, what lipstick are you wearing? xx
Hi! I just found you today on RUclips but I love your videos. I’m trying to go back to school so I can be a teacher and seeing videos like this really motivates me
Thank you so much!! That’s amazing! Keep me posted on your journey! Let me know if there are any questions you might have or things that would be helpful! I’m so excited for you! 💖
Watching from Australia - loved this advice. Makes me realise there's definitely advantages to us having school uniforms at majority of schools both private and public here. When i finally finish my studies and begin teaching thats one less worry (getting mistaken as a student) 😂❤
Love these tips! I agree with you, the point is to make sure one knows their own specific dress code. Despite living in a colder weather environment and the winter lasts almost 6 months out of the year, the school district here believes that jeans are not professional for teachers and staff, which I find bizarre. Jeans hold up to wind, snow, slush, and mud. I'd prefer to get my jeans a little dirty than going in my slacks and having them stained constantly. I do disagree on the jumpsuit idea. Not because I don't agree, but I personally cannot be comfortable wearing overalls or jumpsuits and trying to go to the bathroom in a limited amount of time. It would get messy, and I already try holding it when I shouldn't 😅 Thank you for making this video! It was super helpful for me to start building a wardrobe made for a boss babe in the school district :D
Thank you so much!! Right?! I will never understand the jeans thing! They're are so versatile and practical for what we do! I feel you on the jumpsuits, I definitely went through a big phase of wearing them a ton. They're comfy but the rush to the bathroom is not ideal haha good point! LOVE THAT!! Thank you so so much for watching!
Thanks for the great video! I am a grad student and will be teaching a college course in the spring. I got a few matching sets of shirts and pants as my teaching uniform, but I am still worried that I might be mistaken as a student. I liked you tip of wearing jewelries, but they tend to make me too self conscious for teaching. Do you have any other tips? (It's an upper division course, and most students are just 4-5 yrs younger than me. plus I do look young with my round chubby face)
I love matching sets for teaching!! It’s definitely tricky to not blend in with students at this point in your career! I always utilized jewelry, styling my hair different ways, using a purse style bag instead of a backpack, wearing my lanyard all the time, glasses even like blue light ones, shoe choices help too but I struggle wearing heels all day, it’s tricky but it’s also just how you carry yourself confidence goes a longggg way even if it’s the fake it till you make it type of confidence lol! You’ve got this, I’m so excited for you!! Keep me posted on your journey 💗💗💗
Tower 28 gloss in cashew! One of my favorite glosses of all time! I paired it with a nyx lipliner in espresso but any brown liner works really well with it! Let me know what you think if you try it out! 💖
Hi! I got a four year bachelor’s degree and then I did an accelerated master’s program through my university. I know people who have stopped after the 4 year bachelor’s degree to start teaching right away, but getting my master’s was very important to me and I do believe that it is worth it. Also, getting your master’s makes a difference in salary once hired. I’m not sure about other routes to become a teacher, but I’m really happy with the program that I was in! I’m so excited for you, please keep me posted on your journey! 💖
You’re hair and makeup is flawless omggg
