This is my favorite Star Trek movie. So hilarious, Data singing HMS Pinafore and inflating himself, the beads on Picard’s head, and Worf’s gorch, Picard does the mambo, Beverly and troi talking about their boobs and data looking at them hehe. Such an amazing film.
If someone had shown me this scene before I've seen the move i would've thought it was a shitpost, an edit, ytp, a meme anything but an actual scene that was actually shot. But no its there in the movie and the world is better for it
I just watched the episode Descent Part 2. In it Jordy reminisces about Data falling out of a boat, sinking to the bottom of a lake, and walking over a km along the lake bed. So does he float or not?
He can choose whether to float or not. Earlier in this very same film he was walking on the bottom of the lake with his tricorder taking detailed scans.
I mean, he is fully functional.
like the flotation device, just on a different scale
@@among-us-99999, Data is off-the-scale functional, to be that much of a flotation device.

They must've updated him, bc I was thinking the same thing
Wouldn't he rust, too?

@@MichaelBrookham - No. He's not made out of materials that oxidize.
Did anyone else find that funny? :) because it was.
Jean-Luc did.
I never understood why the movies felt the need to make a mockery out of Data.
What episode was this in?? I feel like I somehow missed it! :(
its from the movie star trek insurrection
@@cthrugrlthank you so much! Finally an answer!
Excuses, excuses.... ;P
Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't Data rust if he was in the water, since he is an android?
He's not made of iron, but of many different alloys and materials that evidently do not oxidize with the oxygen present in the water.
For de seeds
