Extremely Good Point On the Matte Finish. A friend of mine just got his shop finished and started his projects in it. He has that Nice, Beautiful, Super Shiny black & white checker epoxy floor (beyond expensive) and was helping him move things around. Your feet slip n slide all the place pushing a cherry picker around. All the casters on all his tools (and dollies) had to be replaced with nylon wheels, and he spent so much money on that floor he's scared to do what he used to do in his old shop. He said if he could of done it all over again, he woulda done something like you did here. If you scratch it, you can fix it yourself. It's cheap, so you don't see $$$$ flying out of your wallet when you pick up the grinder or plasma torch. Good Vid, and the new place is looking sweet man.
What a Shop.. Floor sealer looks like a good product. Ive been looking for something for my OLD concrete floor and was shying away from paint.. Great Job so far..
15 years ago I did a Valspar floor paint & within a couple years the sun turned it pea green in color. It was dangerously slippery for my wife & kids. My current shop has no paint or sealer & I prefer it that way. The concrete absorbs some of the water or snow melt vs staying on top & potentially being a slip & hip replacement (haha). Your choice is the only way I would consider going for a floor covering that’s a working shop like yours is!
I'm not a fan of painted floors either. For my last project, I used a concrete stain to dress things up a little before applying the sealer. Very happy with the combination so far.
Hey Jeff! Looking good! That is quite a nice size shop. Where is Cam when all this work is going on? Take care be safe and Blessings and cheers from Motown.
It's coming along nicely. Are you planning on insulating the shop? I have a metal roof and it was pretty hot this past summer. I'm considering spray foam insulation for the roof. My walls are wood studs with T1 11 siding, so that can wait.
I did spray foam in what we are now calling Studio A (the 24x24 shed). It works great for keeping out the heat, but man is it UGLY. LOL We will be showing insulating the building. We'll be starting on that in a couple of weeks. Soon as my arm starts to improve.

Jeff, The shop is starting to look really nice...
Thanks. About to go get your sheet of OSB...

Thanks for the kind words. It looked to be the best solution to the problem of sealing the floor against water (coolant) and oil.
I sealed the floor of my garage and really feel like it was the right decision. The price was right, it wasn't hard to do, and it worked.
Beautiful building!
Thanks! We are excited to get in there.

Short N sweet.. I've got enough grease and oil soaked into my floor it's pretty hydrophobic ;)...
Keep it up..
HAHAHAHA, I get it. My experiences at Ridgemont put me onto this stuff. 90 weight gear oil leaves a mighty stain.
I wish I had some land to build a shop like that! Looks like a great place to wrench.
It will be we'll do a shop tour as soon as we get in the place for final.
You know, I haven't even thought of a sealer! Hmmm
Ohhhh eh, this here is good stuff eh! Might be a tich too chilly up der in newfundland for it now doh.

I really dig the product. We'll probably do it out on the side pads too. Since we plan to use the pads for cleaning undercarriages and such.
Can’t wait Jeff luv ur stuff!
Me either.
Good video info, don’t forget to include info on ur lift and setting up ur equipment. 👍💪
All coming!
New shop is looking great. Can't wait to see you guys in there working on cars!
Us too! Electrical is our big hold up.

Great tip!
Glad you got past covid. Thanks for the show
You bet
Just purchased 5 gallons for 1920sq ft for newly poured concrete. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Love your show. From Connecticut
Thanks! Our issues for building are not as many as yours in the north east.
I can't believe you made the Seinfeld comment I immediately thought about that the moment you said it😄😄😄
That episode is a classic. Along with "The Master of Your Domain"

He has a full time gig that keeps him in Columbia and Wagener during the week. Miss the big lug being around.
Hows the back after all that leaning over?
Grate show
Thanks!
Hey Jeff I didn't know you were a plumber. LOL Good video.
At least it wasn't a full moon and my drawers were clean.
@@AutoRestoMod that's hilarious. Just having some fun with you.

How were your wrists the next day after caulking.
OK oddly, my back was pissed but it does that no matter what I do.
A step down in the concrete only real way to go to stop water
Yep. We discuss that in next weeks Shop Build video.
How big a building?
30x36.
