I love Omni-Man’s emotional dilemma here. He briefly considers killing his family due to Mark’s powers not seeming to be coming into fruition, but then realizes that the love he has for his family is too great for him follow through with that. When he facepalms, he’s clearly ashamed of himself for what he had considered.
That scene is why people defend Omni Man you should see how he changes in the future
She managed to fight off her siblings, save people, hold back her true power, and cause minimal property damage WITHOUT any proper training or real hero experience.

She could’ve revived her parents during her brief moment with her power fully unlocked, but she used it for revenge instead.
Just a shame they didn’t include her monologue background saying that like in the comic.

On Eve's birthday, she gets shitcanned by her biological siblings, gets to see her real mom intubated and left for dead as a birthing machine, sees her creator die along the crossfire and gets shittalked by her adopted dad for eating her cake. While all this time, Mark Grayson spent his entire day making his crapass duct tape suit. Man's got his priorities straight. 😂

For Eve, superpowers were always part of her identity, and the heroism was a way to express/explore her abilities. For Mark, heroism was always part of his identity, and superpowers were a way to express/explore his ideals.
It’s bittersweet for me because she gave her mother and siblings faces and normal bodies in that picture but at same time has to hide it from her parents

I love how word for word, shot for shot accurate it is to the comic this special is based on that's my favorite thing about Amazon's Invincible it's comic accurate but has changes that needed changes best example being the ReAnimen arc which took so many issues to complete and was shoved to the side for other stories and they just made it a single episode this should be the gold standard for Comic media do the source material and make changes to stuff that need them
I LOVE the parallels between Mark and Eve we get to see in this show. Mark grew up desperately wishing for powers because he felt it was the only way to earn his father's approval. Eve grew up being shamed by her father because of the powers she had. Both craved familial acceptance. The difference is that Mark continued to seek his father's respect, while Eve accepted that her father's respect wasn't in the cards.
It emphasizes Mark's optimism vs Eve's realism, which we see in the first season by how both choose to use their powers.
When things got tough, Eve pragmatically quit her superhero life to use her powers in less exciting but more impactful ways. Mark meanwhile found the strength to keep pushing through the hardship by looking for the good in everything, even his father.
Atom eve is so amazing, and if you think about it, she is literally a alternative version of gwen (ben 10) in a +18 show, since gwen does not use her full potential because its for kids. She is the gwen that can be violent xD

Bro, when Eve was introduced in invincible ep 2 everybody thought she would be a secondary character with so so power, like Green Lantern
In ep 5 she had that dialogue with her parents and said she can do literally anything she wants rearranging matter at molecular level, then "wow, okay, guess green lantern just got outmastered"
Now THIS, this is INSANITY
SHE LITERALLY MANIPULATED REALITY AT THE END OF THIS EPISODE, THIS GIRL IS INSANE, WITH THAT LEVEL OF POWER I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF SHE DEFEAT OMNIMAN

I will never understand the parents, or even just the dad. They thought their daughter died as a baby and got the miracle of thinking their kid didn't actually die. So they treat her like shit?
That's toxic masculinity for you. Dad got angry that his grade school age daughter was smarter than him, and his fragile ego couldn't handle it.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought the show was answering a question I didn't ask at the end. It still ended up being a great scene though.
I think Eve's fight against her siblings might stay my favorite for a long time. Seeing her popping off like that was very satisfying !
But I wouldn't be mad if season changed my mind quickly.
You know what the worst part is? Eve's parents are some of the most accurate depictions of narcissistic parents i've ever seen.

Guys saying that Eve is way cooler than Gwen. But I think they are almost equals in powers and a lot of powers/effects looks kinda the same.

Eve's dad is a man ruled by fear, and as with most men of his generation, his only way of expressing that fear is through anger. I really love how the writers ensure we understand that, because it adds that human depth to his assholery.
You can practically see the love he once had for his daughter, and how that love (tinted by sexism) turned him overprotective, controlling, and toxic.

The extra fucked thing. There was a moment that didn’t make it into the show out of the comics. When her limiter was removed. Eve could have saved Brandyworth and her mother. They lived but we’re mortally wounded. Eve wanted vengeance so badly she missed the chance to save them.

No he would not be. He’s only finishing out current series he’s on. He’ll be stepping away completely once they are done

Lets be at least honest here. Every 4 seconds is a drastically exaggerated number. But no not really. It's this or an overlay that blocks the show. People complain when we have the overlay, people complain with this style. It's youtube, you're not going to get the full video uncut. It's why most reaction channels have patreon as an option
