The number of years has nothing to do with it. The Bond Phenomenon is something only Greninja can do because it's in his DNA; it's not just because of his bond with Ash.

11 years late with pokemon z but... the wait was worth it. They're spending alot more time with the game which makes me very hopeful. Not to mention it might be the only game they announce this year which means even more time developing it.

Kalos was Ash's real prime. He may not have won (as usual or the series would be over), but boy did it feel good to see him breeze through gyms, evolving his pokemon and just being a good trainer for a change. I'm happy with what he had become and this series is a fond memory.

Pokémon XY&Z was my favorite season out of all. Just because of Greninja/Ashe-Ninja. Loved every time they went MEGA. Hope one day we'll see Greninja back in a future series.

For everyone complaining about Ash losing, at least it isn't Sinnoh, where some random guy comes the hell out of nowhere and bodies everyone anticlimactically with a bunch of overpowered legendaries.
The Anime is kind of a dissapointment for the mature viewers. I stopped watching it a while back cus' about 95% of it (just like about a lot of anime) is just fillers. It also has a character who has barely developed as a trainer over 20 years who releases his best Pokémon and doesn't evolve the best potential ones, has caught less than a 10th of the current Pokedex, and has battle primarily with only team rocket.
I'm 23 years old, I been a fan of pokemon from the very beginning there is no doubt in my mind, I will be playing Gen 7. I just finished completing the pokedex for alpha sapphire after all that hard work and patience. I'm still going to stay tune for the team flare arc and watch the english dub knowing that Ash lost the league because let's face it at this point in time, I just don't care how strong Ash is, the writers are going to still find a way for Ash to lose.... and it sucks.
Rudi I personally believe that if Ash will ever age the reason why would be that years and maybe even months last longer, for example if one month is between 49-51 weeks (depending on the month). This would explain why so many days have passed in the anime and Ash traveled so far but Ash has not had his 11th birthday yet, and it will allow Ash to stay young for many years to come.
Both cases are so damn idiotic, how could a Water Shuriken kill a Grass/Dragon Pokemon?? No way on earth. As for Charizard, it got the Dragon Type as well along with a nice ability, so it "kinda" makes sense. Anyway, Ash should have won at Kalos. Alola was pathetic
The only season with a really bold direction and story. Great animation, great music, great legendaries, great villains, great league, great ending episodes. Felt so good!
I'm positive that Greninja will return to the anima at some point in the future. Now that Ash has a Z-Ring as well, just imagine the power he and Greninja can wield together!
Yeah, Bond Phenomenon (_Battle Bond_ ability) plus any kind of Z-Crystals can suitable for Greninja and Z-Ring for Ash. Whoa, I can't imagine how strong they are.

@@subhodutta6163 can't disagree more with someone who doesn't have the patience to watch and consider EVEN THE SLIGHTEST of the anime before reviewing it; I watched VERY FEW Episodes of Alola ('cuz they haven't been aired here so I could only watch reaction videos which covered the summary), but with just THAT LITTLE background, and some from the games, I was 1000 times more emotional by watching JN111 (fortunately got a chance somehow) than by any other Kalos episode, and even the episode of Mallow reuniting with her Mother can't be topped by any XY episode. XY maybe the peak especially because of its animation, but content-wise, some of the episodes of Sun and Moon are unrivalled. Even the best battle in my eyes, before Ash Vs Leon, was Ash Vs Kukui. Also it's honestly quite welcome when a theme is played from the games, like the Unova League theme just before Ash Vs Leon began. Also, Pokémon Horizons seem to be rivalling XY, let's hope that it keeps the same momentum.
I see a lot of comments saying Ash sucks but I want to point out that ash early on makes top 16, then top 8, to top 4 and now top 2. Even if he hasn't won a Pokemon league yet, he's proven himself to be one of the best trainers in the entire world.
I think pokemon 2019 has a great potential we have ever seen before..obviously it looks like its gonna break alot of trends ...hopefully fans finally gets there things ..as we've been waiting for all this for years now...hope so this theme will be back with greninja and all possibilities that we all wanted throughout his long journey
Man, I remember when I actually liked the art style of pokemon, but now we have pokemon journeys. And don't get me wrong, it's very smooth, but it looks like they didn't really put much detail when drawing. I'm not bad mouthing the artists who are currently working on pokemon journeys; I'm saying this to the one who decided to change the art style. And when you look at the pokemon battle between the mega sceptile and alain's charizard, the animation was amazing for it being made 6-9 years ago. (A random guess) Also, I'm happy that we're finally seeing some old faces like serena, and ash's greninja; but only briefly which was sad.

Blast burn is a more powerful move overall, in a league of its own. While is BS is still understandable how CHARIZARD beat greninja. Maybe charizard had perfect IV’s while Ash greninja was lacked some lol. Seriously tho I know Ash should had won, but I was rooting for Alain. I just really like his team more!
The only thing I disagree with it's ash releasing this badass ninja frog (for me it was Naruto version Pokemon) and Goodra. I understand the reasons about that but I think that Ash didn't have certain success because of that. Only having in hand three flying types (Hawlucha, Noivern and Talonflame). Anyhow, I enjoyed Kalos so much.
I honestly think XY&Z were the best out of all the Pokemon series. This is just my personal opinion but the XY&Z series were just different from the others as far as character development and storyline go. Ash grew up this season and was a much better trainer. The character play along with the finally cannon shipping of him and Serena was just gold.

BD&SP came out today and just now had the urge to listen to this sickk theme and as it was playing I just felt nostalgic. Coming back home from school in 2013 and watching the new XYZ episodes. It's 2021 now, 8 years flew by pretty quickly. And now I wanna rewatch it. The best season ever.

I loved XYZ as much as the next guy, but I got more hyped when they brought this theme back for Torracat vs. Incineroar. It really showed that Sun and Moon isn't completely fun and games and it can take itself seriously when it needs to.
I'm so glad my favorite pokemon has a theme in the DAMN ANIME! Greninja has been my favorite pokemon ever since I saw it and will probably stay that way for a while.

Kalos was Ash's real prime. He may not have won (as usual or the series would be over), but boy did it feel good to see him breeze through gyms, evolving his pokemon and just being a good trainer for a change. I'm happy with what he had become and this series is a fond memory.

The Anime is kind of a dissapointment for the mature viewers. I stopped watching it a while back cus' about 95% of it (just like about a lot of anime) is just fillers. It also has a character who has barely developed as a trainer over 20 years who releases his best Pokémon and doesn't evolve the best potential ones, has caught less than a 10th of the current Pokedex, and has battle primarily with only team rocket.

I'm 23 years old, I been a fan of pokemon from the very beginning there is no doubt in my mind, I will be playing Gen 7. I just finished completing the pokedex for alpha sapphire after all that hard work and patience. I'm still going to stay tune for the team flare arc and watch the english dub knowing that Ash lost the league because let's face it at this point in time, I just don't care how strong Ash is, the writers are going to still find a way for Ash to lose.... and it sucks.

Rudi I personally believe that if Ash will ever age the reason why would be that years and maybe even months last longer, for example if one month is between 49-51 weeks (depending on the month). This would explain why so many days have passed in the anime and Ash traveled so far but Ash has not had his 11th birthday yet, and it will allow Ash to stay young for many years to come.

@@subhodutta6163 can't disagree more with someone who doesn't have the patience to watch and consider EVEN THE SLIGHTEST of the anime before reviewing it; I watched VERY FEW Episodes of Alola ('cuz they haven't been aired here so I could only watch reaction videos which covered the summary), but with just THAT LITTLE background, and some from the games, I was 1000 times more emotional by watching JN111 (fortunately got a chance somehow) than by any other Kalos episode, and even the episode of Mallow reuniting with her Mother can't be topped by any XY episode.
XY maybe the peak especially because of its animation, but content-wise, some of the episodes of Sun and Moon are unrivalled. Even the best battle in my eyes, before Ash Vs Leon, was Ash Vs Kukui. Also it's honestly quite welcome when a theme is played from the games, like the Unova League theme just before Ash Vs Leon began.
Also, Pokémon Horizons seem to be rivalling XY, let's hope that it keeps the same momentum.
I see a lot of comments saying Ash sucks but I want to point out that ash early on makes top 16, then top 8, to top 4 and now top 2. Even if he hasn't won a Pokemon league yet, he's proven himself to be one of the best trainers in the entire world.

I think pokemon 2019 has a great potential we have ever seen before..obviously it looks like its gonna break alot of trends ...hopefully fans finally gets there things ..as we've been waiting for all this for years now...hope so this theme will be back with greninja and all possibilities that we all wanted throughout his long journey
Man, I remember when I actually liked the art style of pokemon, but now we have pokemon journeys. And don't get me wrong, it's very smooth, but it looks like they didn't really put much detail when drawing.
I'm not bad mouthing the artists who are currently working on pokemon journeys; I'm saying this to the one who decided to change the art style.
And when you look at the pokemon battle between the mega sceptile and alain's charizard, the animation was amazing for it being made 6-9 years ago. (A random guess)
Also, I'm happy that we're finally seeing some old faces like serena, and ash's greninja; but only briefly which was sad.

Blast burn is a more powerful move overall, in a league of its own. While is BS is still understandable how CHARIZARD beat greninja. Maybe charizard had perfect IV’s while Ash greninja was lacked some lol.

The only thing I disagree with it's ash releasing this badass ninja frog (for me it was Naruto version Pokemon) and Goodra. I understand the reasons about that but I think that Ash didn't have certain success because of that. Only having in hand three flying types (Hawlucha, Noivern and Talonflame). Anyhow, I enjoyed Kalos so much.

I honestly think XY&Z were the best out of all the Pokemon series. This is just my personal opinion but the XY&Z series were just different from the others as far as character development and storyline go. Ash grew up this season and was a much better trainer. The character play along with the finally cannon shipping of him and Serena was just gold.

I loved XYZ as much as the next guy, but I got more hyped when they brought this theme back for Torracat vs. Incineroar. It really showed that Sun and Moon isn't completely fun and games and it can take itself seriously when it needs to.
Ash felt like a genuine menace in XY/XYZ, I fucking loved this part of the anime
