hey man i just upgraded from the hunts v2 tenkeyless non analog and I could take out all the switches to lub can you do the same for this v3 optical analog one or its soldered in and i have to lub the keys in the keyboard?
Is it possible to add sound dampening O rings? I like this keyboard for the features but it sounds absolutely terrible lol. Waaaaay too clacky. I had the mini version but returned it. Might check it out again if i can make it sound at least passable
Don't make sense, from the moment of time when this video was recorded we have huge amount of rapid trigger keyboards with perfect sound! Just check my other videos :)
Thanks! I liked the video; I have that same keyboard, but I only use it for gaming, so the noise is not really a concern (and I'm not brave enough to open it).
@@kklhavenolove it will be another keyboard then :) in this case better to buy something simple and cheap and start building. I have several videos about this on the channel :)
@@getsmarthomeoffice I'm not worried about the rattle at all, because not going to shake the keyboard, but what about the actual typing sound? Is it so loud and would it be possible to make it quiet like the huntsman v2 linear by adding additional foam or some tape inside? I really like the sound of huntsman v2 linear(not analog) out of the box.
Did you forget to put the foam back in?
Good video!
Re-checked source videos, all is good, I have put it inside :)
How did you pull it out the back. I cant seem to pull out my backboard to check what is inside my keyboard.
It was not easy
How did you do it because I want to mod somthing in my keyboard. @@getsmarthomeoffice

I do not recommend eject them, try to lub them inside PCB

are the stabilizers factory lubed even at a small amount? and the analogue switches are factory lubed?
i dont think so, i had the first huntsman mini and it sounds very different to the new v3 pro
@@Carson_Tate thank you for your answer, i prefer not to have lube
Yea I don't think so
@@getsmarthomeoffice thank you for the answer, thats help i want a keyboard without any kind of lube
Any way to make it quieter? It sounds terribly loud
Its way too thocky
I tried, not much you can do here
Rings
I have the tkl version and have no idea how to disassemble it lol took out the screws and having problem taking out top plate
I did it somehow :) you just need a proper tools!
thanks! Awesome video
Glad it helped!
so i found that you can actually take the switches off, there is buckle on both side off the switch
I noticed that, but what next, is it possible to do something inside?
@@getsmarthomeoffice you can take off the switch and the plate can be take off too, so it can be changed to fr4 or even change the case?

will be doing this tomorrow and maybe adding a little more foam
Be careful with internal part of the switches, make sure nothing will fall inside
What foam did u use?
@@jahnjee something like this amzn.to/41UoBL2
Is that just for the mini
I'm sure the same could be done for all Huntsman's
hi, can we open up and upgrade the v3 tkl version? because there is no videos about modding the tkl version
I think they all the same inside, different versions, so yes. But be careful with plastic case and fingers :)
Is it really that much louder than the V2 linear?
it is loud

you should focus the background just a bit more, imho.
yea, I think so, thx for the advice!
Sad a 200buck keyboard still needs to be upgraded
