Strongly agree... I have been to the remotest part of Odisha, Jharkhand and Found that Dalits and Adivashi are also can be categorized into Rich and Poor. If you don't believe check the govt servants records.. Mostly of the people getting benefits were once back word and not anymore. While people who deserve it are still struggling for one meal per day and basic water and health facility. I blame the beauracrats and Politicians of such kind for this plight of these poor people.. It is the hypocrisy those who deny the reality of caste discrimination exists till now in India. Proportionate reservation according to caste population is a measure to uplift the people of the depressed caste so that they may join the main stream. This will not be wise to forget for development of the country participation of all the sections of the people is necessary. An homogeneous society is the backbone of the nation.
"Proportionate reservation according to caste" - why don't you start with the Dalit Muslims by giving them the same as per their proportion of Muslim population in AMU & JMI? My friends who are SC studied in the best schools and were significantly more wealthy than my parents, got reservations, but I who studied in a village, had lower middle class parents could not get any reservation.

Reservations should be only for SCs, STs, EWS, Ex Servicemen and sportsmen but not OBCs who have never been socially discriminated against. Reservations should never exceed 50 percent. Lastly, creamy layer within SCs and STs should not be eligible for reservations.
