  • An investigation into the failure of Britannia Park, a theme park on British history on the former Shipley Country Park. The developer Peter Kellard and park chairman John Wright were later found guilty of fraud. The park was redesigned as The American Adventure and re-opened in 1987.
    This is one tape I didnt digitise myself but have fixed some of the tape errors. It wasn’t widely available so thought I’d post it here.

    You'd think there would be a point where Kellard would snap out of his delusional state and just sell the grounds when the council were pushing for a better deal. Such a massive money pit

    thank you for posting this i've been looking for footage of teh opening day for years, i was on shipley hill when concorde seemed to go past at eye level. shame no footage of the mosquito that went right over our heads at about 100ft

    Thanks for the upload, I was 5 when I visited him in prison. Seems so surreal now as an adult.

    Jesus this is like something Farage would do, talk up and celebrate a big con, ending in dramatic fashion as Concorde flies past a big hole filled with water in a field.
