I think about it every time whenever Yuta sings or dances. When I discovered NCT years ago I thought Yuta is the one who is the center with his voice and dance. But I realized later that it is not the case unfortunately and I am really sad about it. I can also see that he is not happy with the situation either.

In 2019, he was the only nct member to make it to the Top 10 Most Handsome by TC Candler Asia alongside other popular asian artists, without sm doing shit for him, he also won as the Hottest Athlete on Chuseok ISAC the same year. He won nct's first gold medal when he was still a trainee, he Almost yearly makes it to most handsome Kpop idols, but SM still treats him like shit, and he's so charismatic and funny and NCT members agree, I know for a fact that if SM gave him the same spotlight as the more popular members he would be unstoppable.
Haechan is such a perfectionist. His initial takes were actually fine and perfect but he really pushed himself to do more and took his time to redo them because he knows exactly what he wants to give. It's like he really studies his parts, has goals set for himself, and makes sure that he doesn't fall lacking. Settling for less isn't in Haechan's vocabulary.

I'm not bashing taeil or any other member, but I see why he does that. To us musicians, we want each note perfect :p we can catch the slightest slips even if it isn't that apparent, just a feeling. Also, most of the time taeil redid his parts because he was changing up his breath pattern during his parts.
My conclusion are: Haechan: proves he is main vocal with uniqueness. Taeil: I'm surrender. Even the music director thought he wrote the song. Kun: It is Kun. Singer, rapper, composer, lyricist and Dad of the year. Yuta: Winwin is his top priority. Period. Renjun: Vocal beast ft awsaz Doyoung: Singing with full body expression and slay it. Chenle: The leisure boss. Overall: NCT slays everything. If it is SM, than don't worry about their vocal. It is SUPERB.

I'm not bashing taeil or any other member, but I see why he does that. To us musicians, we want each note perfect :p we can catch the slightest slips even if it isn't that apparent, just a feeling. Also, most of the time taeil redid his parts because he was changing up his breath pattern during his parts.
