Thank you so much for this! I have one for you - though you probably know it. Put a bit of olive oil in the palm of your hands, take a magazine page and roll the page into a ball with your oily palms -- keep going until you like the color, then flatten it out. It looks like a mosaic. Hope you enjoy this! Merry Christmas to you!! Waving from Toronto.
It’s a process called momigami. I only heard about it this week. Have a look at Robyn McClendon you tube video called week 52 - 52 week challenge. She explains and shows this oil to paper technique on various types of paper. Don’t we just love new techniques?!?!
This is such an interesting technique, and you made such gorgeous collages with the results. So generous and thoughtful of you to make downloadable images for those who cannot get the CitraSolv. You chose the most beautiful images! Always fun watching you, Froyle!
Kia Ora,I just found your channel and I love it. I am a Kiwi living in the united states, it is so fabulous to hear a tutorial from someone with my accent. Will be watching more of your content for sure!
This was awesome! THANK YOU so much for sharing this with us. I get Nat Geo magazines for 10 cents a piece at my local library, which I have been using for collage material. You have just broadened my horizons immensely!
Thank You for the beautiful download from this video!!! I love the papers! I have a stack of National Geographic Magazines. If you need more, I could send you some! I'm in the USA, but I would do that for you. You are so generous with your time and experience. Thank you!
Thank you for this amazing idea! I did this today and got excitng results. My favorites are from some ocean photos. Made such a spooky effect! Im going to go with the flow and make a spooky water scene of some kind. I had a couple of pages that looked like people peering behind some bushes. Soooo cool 😄
This is awesome !! I have one too. Take my faves to the self-copy shop & make prints on card-stock, experimenting with the various settings. . I make minatures & when the designs are reduced to tiny they are amazing. Thank you ! and also to Toronto from Quebec.
Just did this for the first time. Thanks for a great tutorial. What fun and amazing creations. I messed with pressing on the reverse side and got some amazing results❤
Hi, Froyle. I'm back again and rethinking my comment re Citra Solv from two weeks ago. I've since read that the product is made from safe ingredients. So, throwing caution to the wind, I bought a bottle and had a veritable ball--only thing missing was my glass of wine-- in my open garage, transforming pages into gorgeous, soon-to-be art. I was so carried away, that not only was my floor covered with drying NG pages, but I forgot to leave an open path to walk through. Felt as if I were playing hopscotch. I have watched and re-watched your videos over and over again. You have now become my Guru and that's quite a responsibility :) I've been creating art since I was a little girl and found early on that there is always some new technique or way of thinking that makes the process so much fun. You definitely epitomize this. Thanks for being here.😃
I’m amazed that you took the time to respond to almost every comment. Thank you for being part of the mixed media community. Hello from Florida. New subbie.💜
Oh thank you 🥰 inspiring people is what really lights me up! So I’m just glad you are enjoying my videos & have taken the time to respond 😘 cheers Froyle
Great discovery!!!! Thank you for your efforts and for sharing. Love this and am going to have to try it. Gorgeous. My brain exploded. Fabulous collages.
You are an absolutely adorable woman. A fabulous gifted artist and generous soul who shares her insights tips and tricks to help others in their art adventures and development. I have just found you on The Tubes and I am hooked. You are so enthusiastic that I can't help but catch your vibrant happy manner. Onwards and Upwards Good Lady. 👌👌👌🏴 And I will be checking out skill share.
OMG!!! This is FANTASTIC!!! Can't wait to try this idea. Its definitely very unique. Never seen anything like this. Thank you very much for sharing this idea. Such a great video. Austin,TX USA
I just found your channel - these pages are stunning! I'm also super impressed with your scanner and printer. I'd love to know what you use. Thanks for sharing your techniques so generously! New sub. 👍
Great to have you here! I get my laser copy prints from my local Warehouse Stationary I don’t have a home laser printer, sorry that doesn’t help you! 😘 all the best, cheers
I just subscribed to your channel. All I can say is WOW! didn't know about this technique, thank you so much. I'm excited to see what you do with these remixed pages. Best Wishes from Dallas, Texas USA❤
How lovely to hear a familiar accent! I’m a Kiwi living in Scotland and have only just begun to try collage, which I am loving, having decided I am pretty talentless at painting in either acrylic or watercolour. Done two watercolour collages now and feel free as a bird with the concept. Don’t think I can buy Citrasol here but there must be an alternative! Loving your breezy, happy style, and that tattoo….. Kia Kaha, Aroha, Shon
Haha! Oh fabulous! 😘 hello to you! Then you have to keep watching my episodes! Let me know when you find the one about my story, you will love that! 👍🏼😍
I can't thank you enough for the free pages. I am very allergic to cleaning products (I know, what a shame my husband has to do it all) so this is wonderful!
You are so welcome! Some countries just can't get it, so I love having my papers available, and this batch worked out so well!! I use them all the time, cheers Froyle
I just LOVE this technique. I have hundreds of pages and have more almost every day. Also, the newer Net Geo mags don't work as well as the older ones because they changed the printing ink to save money.
I have wanted to do this for a long time. Fortunetly I can order Citra Solv off Amazon. Already on my purchase order. Love watching you and listening to you. You make my day.
I sat here watching this video in total awe.Thank you for showing me something new. Ive been getting into doing my own background paper with spatters and such. Too cool!!!
As from UK cannot get Citro Sol for a reasonable price so downloaded your prints and printed off in black and white; they make great backgrounds for gel prints in themselves. Thanks for your generous sharing.
Just found your tutorials today im amazed, look your work, took your advice about the end pieces of wall paper and went to tday to ask for some and got them, thanks a million fot the free printable, im in Ireland watching your utube channel.. Regards Ann
This pertains to the work you did with gel medium and a fine tip to make roses on paper. Instead of working on plastic, use parchment paper. You won't have to push the edges back. I think you could put a little extra medium at the edge of your work to use as a tab to pull off the paper. AND you can make clear roses with just the medium on parchment paper. I love how they look and they peel right off the paper. This happened with plain acrylic paint too. Thanks for you videos.
Thank you for showing this process. I learned this many years ago and am still using the paper ( I did get carried away and did several Geo's.) Thanks again.
I just found your channel and love this!!! I went to my library and bought a National Geographic Magazine and will be purchasing a citrisol. I can't wait!!!!!! Thank you also for the freebies, that was so nice of you! Can't wait to watch more!!!
