  • In the ACT, the Labor-Greens government's plan to take over the running of a Catholic public hospital has sparked a backlash from church leaders and the federal Coalition. The government says it considered all its options for increasing hospital capacity - but that the existing Calvary Hospital is simply the best site in Canberra's growing north. James Elton reports.

The ACT Government suspended laws and introduced new legislation to ENABLE this compulsory acquisition of Calvary Hospital. This also now includes Clare Holland House. The ACT Health Minister can talk all she likes but the Labor/Greens do not believe in the rule of law…a CONTRACT is not worth the paper it is written on. You can bet your bottom dollar that ABORTIONS and VAD services ( not offered at Canberra Hospital currently) will be new “health options” freely available at Calvary from July. As I stated in emails to Albanese, Barr and Rattenbury. I hope you have the decency to CHANGE THE NAME before you offer your death-dealing services! Would I go to Clare Holland House for palliative care now it is in the hands of LABOR/GREENS control? NO……because the ONLY option would be morphine induced respiratory collapse or the BIG NEEDLE! The health minister needs to go on a trip to California……there are laws there now where you can ABORT your baby up to 27 days AFTER BIRTH!!😢. I suppose that is a “health option” too?!
