Babies room- sage green, milk chocolate brown wood furniture, white boucle accents sage green alpaca wallpaper. Super light and airy, little bit of nature inspo. And a MUST you gotta get those wood blinds that close completely plus a curtain so the room can be blacked out easily for naptime 🙌🏼

I love everything....except that wallpaper. You removed a dark wood wall to make things brighter and replaced it with dark & busy wallpaper? When you first mentioned a monochromatic look with the walls and shelves I thought you were crazy, but it looked so good against the light desktop. Great job!
I agree 100%, but I absolutely love everything else. If Ryland is happy, that's all that matters, though.

The monochromatic wall with the desk is awesome. However, the busy pattern isn't doing it for me, but that's me. It's not my office. You're a wonderful designer! Keep it up!
Yeah I actually really like the pattern on his inspo page he showed after the initial attempts, a wallpaper like that would have been great - flower plant pattern with the dark background. I think the wallpaper is going to be dark/busy longterm and he will end up changing it. Overall amazing transformation and a great workspace.
I love how supportive Shane is, and how he confessed that you fought him during the entire design process. Coming from a 10 year relationship, we know that’s just how it goes. Hahaha, it’s so relatable. Hope you guys are well! ♥️
It’s crazy the difference some white paint & new flooring can make. It looks amazing! I feel like you still achieved your “grounded glam” vision! You have such a beautiful eye for design ❤ the marble desk 😍 the custom desk, the paint colour! It looks SO GOOD 😍😍😍

Lol I love the wallpaper and green wall but not the white wall that divides them. I think the widow wall is great white, but that one white wall somehow makes it seem unfinished to me. Like if it was my space I'd wrap the green around and let the white window wall serve as the transition to the toilet. Glad Ryland loves it through, which is really all that matters.
The wallpaper is not it for me, but I don’t have to live with it so I don’t care! The built in cabinetry for the desk is gorgeous 🤩
@@Serasesera agree with every word. The wallpaper is my favorite part. And the shade of green is perfect, but I definitely would’ve wrapped it around to the other wall. I feel like if they stay he will do that. But it’s still beautiful either way.

To me, it’s like 2 rooms with 2 opposing styles. Almost like Roland is marrying his love of bougie LA life with the more clean and simple style of where he lives now. It seems conflicting to me and this makes sense when Roland mentioned that the green pain with the shelves etc was Shane’s idea.
However it is still very beautiful and I also love interior design and would maybe like it to become a passion as well. I love what you’re doing Ryland. I think you have a real talent and leaning for it.

I love everything except the wallpaper 🫢 I LOVED the wooden wall it had before. The current wallpaper pattern is small and kinda hurts my eyes. I can’t tell if it’s some flower or a bunch of skulls 😬 I love the green wall and monochromatic cabinets etc. it’s very beautiful!

he could even collab with an interior design artist per say who even has a show, and do something with that. it would be rlly cool n could further his platform

To take this home decorating channel idea to the next level- Ryland should have viewers submit videos in which the viewer is in need of someone (Ryland and "his team" - which should include Shane etc- to revamp their home, or a room in the viewers home) and waaa laaa!a home decorating channel. I'm here for this idea.
RYLANDDDDDD if no one is willing to fund your own makeover show, you should open your services to the public, except the REAL challenge you'll have is you'll be working with everyday people who have a limited budget, and you'll have to create a space for them within their budget. But you could do it like the home shows do it where you could show them 3 potential designs: one under budget, one at budget, and one over budget. And then they'll choose the design, you'll get to work, and THEN THE BIG REVEAL. RYLAND I'M SERIOUS WE WOULD ALL WATCH IT. IT WOULD BE A HUGE SUCCESS. YOU'RE JUST SO GOOD AND EVERYONE DESERVES TO LOVE THEIR HOME AS MUCH AS YOU DO.

I'm not a fan of the wallpaper & the Clock but love the sage Green with built in side !!! Id love to have seen the sage Green color carried over to the other side to be cohesive BUT all that matters is your happy.

I love that Ryland is boujie and glam but he’s also down to earth and isn’t ever afraid to get down and dirty. Everything you do looks good and I agree with everyone else that you should do design. The look and energy of a room definitely effects your mood.

I've been saying this forever. Ryland. Do a room makeover channel. You have a great sense of taste and style. You can even go to other people's houses and makeover one of their rooms. I'm telling you, those videos would do really well!
Ryland should have his own home renovating program I swear!
They've mentioned in passing him getting his real estate license. I think he would be able to combine both, and use his channel to help with sales, and film some of the staging process to satisfy the designer in him.

I’ve always loved HGTV and home renovating shows. But I really liked your honesty in this video and showing us your mistakes with furniture and not planning things. By watching your journey with the room I learned a lot! It’s also really refreshing to see that it’s not easy and make a room feel like home takes time.

I’m glad you got rid of the carpet and the wood wall, both were too dark and kind of looked like a hotel room. I think your problem was trying to work with components that didn’t work to begin with but once you removed them, everything fell into place!

I really dig the two accent walls for that office area. The room was off center anyway with the door and window, and so the two accent walls detract nicely from that fact.
Ryland you should use Havenly for your next room!! You can virtually work with an interior designer and they give you a 3D rendering of your room and all the links to purchase. I’ve used them for almost every room in my house because I would find myself in the same situation as you in the beginning trying to curate a room without mapping out every detail. A full design package is $159 for the virtual rendering and the in person is $499. This is the missing puzzle piece you’ve been needing!! Especially with the baby’s room coming up 🤍

Hello, fellow spoonie! Is wallpaper back in? I despise wallpaper simply because we had to remove 4 layers of ancient wallpaper dating back to the 1920's and beyond in the house we bought. It was a nightmare to remove, and they even put wallpaper on all the ceilings. Never again!
The wood wall is beautiful in theory but it was so dated! We had paneling (obvious way uglier) but I pulled all that down and redid our walls too! They glued that crap on and it ruined the drywall at my house too 😂
