Saw this film in a shopping mall as a kid. Scared the hell out of me. It was part of a display in honor of fire prevention week. A good film to see because there is always a risk for fire for people who smoke and carelessly store flammable fluids.

If firemans in my country here in philippines would do house inspections that would be very helpful..problem with our firemans is that they just always stay in the station doing facebook.

The part of the film where the woman was being carried down the ladder before the fire dept carried down the dead guy was filmed in Boston. Boston’s finest 🚨⛑️🚒
Most of the fire scenes were filmed in Boston.

aww yes the 1950s when you could smoke anywhere, anytime and even the surgeon general said smoking was good for ya

True that the 1950s were smoking-propaganda city (and also leaded gasoline city.) This is 1960s, though. The Surgeons General's Report in 1964 said that smoking is *bad* for you, and so smoking started its slow and steady decline, but many people still did it.

A "victim" of one of those fires. The little girl who had that doll didn't make it, either.

@@Coloribus2004 It looks like a toy monkey. Also, word definitions sometimes change over time. Perhaps opinions on what is cute for a toy also has changed (But besides that, you were looking at the burned, damaged doll. It's not a clean and complete idea of what the toy originally looked like.)
