Charlotte officers on bike ride to honor the fallen

Several CMPD officers are cycling to Washington, D.C., on Friday to honor those killed in the line of duty. It's just one of the big events happening in observance of National Police Week. Since 2007, officers from across the Charlotte area have hit the road, biking 500 miles over four days.
It carries even more significance for CMPD this year, with the loss of Officer Joshua Eyer. Eyer was one of the four officers shot and killed in the line of duty last week.
