      +Jim B Met him once on 57th St in NYC 1986, stopped together on a corner... looking the way I looked in that period, he was startled that I knew & admired all his music... he was gracious & inquisitive with my conversation... I told him that his music had started a new category of a new adult contemporary; not rock, not pure pop, not folk, not country... Denver & Milt Okun made history

      I think John Denver is THE most talented, gifted artist with a beautiful voice. His music touches the very soul of a person.
      I love John Denver. I raised my children to listen to his music among other artists.
      I introduced my little 4 year old grandson to John Denver singing and telling the story of his song, “This Old Guitar”. He liked it a lot and then mentioned it to his daddy, my son, who was astonished that his little boy knew of John Denver and “This Old Guitar”.
      I had purchased an acoustic guitar for my grandson for his birthday. It is made especially for a young child of 4-11. He liked it and was interested in learning to play it. That is when I told him about John Denver and the story of “This Old Guitar”
      I showed him John Denver sharing the story of his first guitar on RUclips and then John singing that beautiful song. My grandson liked it a lot. I hope he continues to grow with John Denver’s music. I have bought several CD’s and DVD live concerts of John Denver for my grandson and my son to enjoy.

    Saw him in concert on a snowy night in Boston back in 1972. Peter, Pail and Mary was his opening act. It was the trill of my life to see him perform in person. I was so inspired by his music that I went out and bought a 12 string guitar and learned to play it. Even took two trips out to Colorado to see the Rockies, which are so incredibly beautiful. I've loved his music all of these years, with Take Me Home Country Roads being my favorite of all of his songs. Really do miss his presence in this world but his music lives on.

    He got plenty of attention, way more than most people, in the 1970's he was a huge star, no matter who you are some people just don't get it, & never will, I went to pawn shops buying John Denver cassettes & got into it a bit with the person working there , they kept Teasing me about liking John & I kept defending John Denver til finally the guy said, well I guess he was pretty good, people kinda do the same with God himself, ♡ the forever John Denver cassette was a real good one, it came out after the plane crash. Thanks 4 putting this video on here 2 share:)

      @@terryflatt6327 yes I HAVE the book and read it a couple times like the bible in a way I really readed, Read it with all I had&have and got a lot of life's learning from it , I see myself way up THERE in - at the top of John's people who love him the most that's who I claim to be. I also have his three cd's that were simular 2 the book, where he himself goes over the book, which is very interesting. I had fun collecting all of his record's, in Idaho, finding take me-2 tomorrow was the most difficult to locate but put a ad in the local paper & people way out in the woods had it for $75.00 & many on cassette also I spent lot's getting what I had to have. I believe John could do anything cept-the things only God can do-anyway he would have continued on in his great abilities, I believe his concerns of peace nuclear disarmament, " A huge ♡ 4 music, his music was always very great & even his song on tv where he howled like a coyote or wolf is a hit song 2-me that yellow stone coming home one is " great one that all his songs have that seriously great Quality of a hit song, every one he ever done & I literally see each song of his a hit song. Every one, all....So we ARE left with a loss I say of probably at least 75 songs or more, beautiful songs. He would have most likely, had done. His daughter would have gotten more creative camping music, a couple more neat wilderness John denver coming home again songs, why I say this Is because his gift was never taken away from him ever, so for me I could go on a long time about thing's concerning him my imagine-ing of John denver is a love of mine. I like his song the boy from the country.

    Dear M masassa, GRATEFUL for ALL you're doing in JOHN DENVER's MEMORY.
    @9:35 Your caption reads:
    “And Denver was so outraged by the property settlement that he sawed the marital bed in half.”
    Would like to refer you to “The Telegraph” article that states the REAL REASON for sawing is NOT "the property settlement."
    John Denver: 'My dark night of the soul'
    He was Mr Nice Guy, but he took drugs, divorced two wives and once chain-sawed through the marital bed.
    Charles Laurence reports
    12:00AM GMT 15 Mar 1997
    “The turning point in his life came some 14 years after he married Annie, with whom he had adopted two children, now aged 20 and 22. After a spate of rows, recriminations and reunions, Denver moved out to a guest cabin in the grounds of their wood-and-glass home in Colorado. One day, coming back from a tour of Britain, he noticed to his horror that Annie had summoned loggers to cut down a stand of his favourite oaks in the garden. The next morning, he marched up to the house with a chainsaw. "You shouldn't have done that," he remembers saying. Then he neatly sawed through the kitchen table and cabinets, and the big wooden bed he had once shared with Annie, before the blades jammed in the sheets. Denver had discovered anger below the surface of Mr Nice Guy.”
