For a huge number of the modern seasons what they would do is just put everyone on the same flight, and whenever the flight landed they wouldn't have a mass equalizer or "Hurry Up and Wait." TAR Canada 3 several years ago did this for all twelve episodes of their season which really took a chunk of the travel aspect out of it. The major advantage (or disadvantage?) early teams got at the boat dock is that they had time to sleep. The trailing teams showed up and didn't have enough time to squeeze in any sleep whatsoever before they ran Legs 3 and 4 back-to-back.
I feel like the advantage of sleep in that situation is like asking a kid on Christmas Eve to go to bed early and this way Santa will come sooner. No shot at that and no shot at any real sleep!
Good podcast y’all. I felt the same way about the episode
Thanks for listening! Appreciate the support
