Fantastic interview! His new book, which I hadn't heard of before, is now at the top of my list of books to get. His experience with the powerstone resonates with my time recording Australian indigenous musicians. The phrases finding the "miraculous in the mundane" and the "sacred in the profane" also describes a major theme in James Joyce's "Ulysses" and "Finnegans Wake."
