@adam2barkawie924 I'm sure but figuarts definitely needs to repaint ssj3 goku's face. Like how they did with vegeta's current re-releases.
@@adam2barkawie924not very true, I just got my “majin buster” ssj2 and the quality is damn good compared to my other SHFs
@@adam2barkawie924its way better than Kong’s though. Kong’s figure comes in with scratch faces and loose peg/joints. I have 3 Kong’s and all have issues. I have a dozen of DF and 1 had issues.

They definitely based their 3.0 body off of Gohan and then the recent krillin who is also a 3.0 body. Honestly they knocked it out of the park with the body and even though their Goku is a little bit top-heavy it is still able to stand without a base it just takes a little bit of positioning to get everything just right for a standless natural pose. The Kong studio one is easily my favorite and I'm glad to see that a lot of their future projects are going to be using the 3.0 body design and modified from there
On another note that white residue you're referring to on the inner leg can be easily removed. It looks like it's glue fogging which is pretty normal if you glue together parts around joint with super glue, it's sometimes will dry and leave a white foggy residue but it's easy to remove. It is kind of funny that this is kind of like a regular thing on their stuff but it's not a paint error or anything really unless the joint is obviously painted

@@illdiggy yeah Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta are also 3.0 molds. There have been some figures before even SMOE krillin that had some of the architecture for what is now called a 3.0 by the community But if I'm not mistaken, krillin was the first one to fully utilize that body style and joint architecture.

I have the Demonical Fit and like that it not only has better faces than the SHF but good tight joints too. Kong Studios' version looks good but yeah, that hair is too heavy. The only pro from using a ball joint is that we can swap the heads whereas we can't do that with the hinge system.
Hello, I have this one too, and the weight of hair are definitively not a problem for me. He is very posable, 1000x better than original S.H.figuarts. So I am very happy and I think that this kong's version are my favorite figure of the year, with the new trunks S.H.figuarts. 😉👍
Kong and other third party's have been on a roll this year. Can't say the same for Demonical Fit who have dragged their feet for too long.

What they should have done is hollow out the hair spikes, put some sort of ratchet mechanism for the neck and ankles (like old revoltech) to hold up the weight. Interchangeable feet with clear extension on the heels to prevent the figure from falling backwards.

So I wasn't wrong, the neck joint and the hair being big is the issue. Yeah, I'm getting rid of mine. I was just so disappointed when I opened it.

Without the head, it’s a damn near perfect looking body, the articulation is nice, the joints are smooth, the hands are well done (the instant transmission ones are kind of weirdly short in the fingers but not bad).
Unfortunate that adding the also gorgeous hair weighs it down so much. Mine is so bad that his entire back arches all the way back without a dedicated stand for the hair, but it’s just so nice looking I can forgive it

The one thing that I don't agree on it a lot is the amount of wrinkles on the shirt it's WAAAAY too much and over done clothing really doesn't do that and does make it look a little fake or something if that makes sense. Well it makes it look like his shirt right is made out of paper in a way than cloth. Also some of the wrinkles don't make a whole lot of sense on which way they are going like on the shoulders at least in my head anyway.

I don't think the neck is the only issue with hair you have to worry about the weight. The weight of the hair will also affect the ab crunch joint over time.
Kong forgot to add the pupil to his eyes for the surprised face.

I think the linework for the chin on the neutral face looks like a second mouth.
Think it's cool to have different style options available for figures, but Tamashii/DF style is more to my own personal tastes.
I can get mine to stand up, not the most stable thing in the world, but I can do it

Hi, i wuld like to ask a qestion, did the kong studios action figures buies on ali express?
I thought Kong Studios said that the hair wouldn't be a problem
Yet, here we are.
Unfortunate that they outright lied but once you get a stand or two he's fine to pose honestly(and a lot of fun I find that his articulation is better than the Super Hero Gohan when it comes to the shoulder articulation so he can pull off crossed arms and kamehameha's perfectly unlike that Gohan). The hair articulation while simple is really effective if you want dynamic poses, its just again you'll need a stand and you'll be good.
Or you could just get the figure for the body and mod it to work with other far more stable heads. Or wait for that one seller that's made custom neck pegs that are built for stuff like the 3.0 Gohan or 2.0 figures in general.
Kong lie a lot. I like the aesthetic of their figure a lot but the QC is the worst of any brand. By far.
That neck is disappointing considering they had those test photos of the figure on one foot with the hair in a crazy pose.

I agree that it's definitely a massive oversight that can ruin the figure. Some Precure figures have giant hair and they have a similar hinged peg like the shf SSJ3 Goku

Only reason i wanted it for was the body i knee the hair was gonna be to much
the kong looks fantastic but its got tradeoffs of weird QC and balancing issues…. worth it to me but its up to everyone on what they want

Most of the review i watch they can't make this figure. Stand on his own.. funny because i can make him stand on his own, even do the Kamehameha pose without a stand
Same here. It just took a little understanding of where his center of gravity is with all of that hair. The issues are minimal knowing how to position his hair and feet.
Does anyone else have a problem where the arm just pops out with a little bit of moving it? Genuinely annoying and idk how to fix it.
Just got mine and I'm definitely disappointed. The hair is even heavier than I thought. It doesn't help that the joints are kinda loose.
I don't understand why people are nerding out about this thing to the point of paying $2-300 for it. The hair is all over the place, completely different than the renders they showed for months in pre-orders, and the faces are awful. They're the same squished faces that people were making fun of with the DF ultimate Gohan. Then there's the whole not being able to stand shit.
I may be the only one who doesn't like the mold of the figure, especially the face.

No improvements in balance, height does not fit with the rest of figures we bought from that arc, faces are not similiar to the anime (this is my humble opinion) and the shape they gave to the blue shirt in the chest is like in a toy (dragon stars etc...) Great expectations for this release but, from my point of view that doesn't have to be right for everybody, not fulfilled. Hair amazing, anyway.
Damn. DF and KS make the Bandai INE look like that is the bootleg
