Welcome back to probably the most beautiful national park in Bavaria. In the Berchtesgadener Land! The second day leads us first to Ramsau.
A health resort and the first mountaineering village in Germany.
Idyllically located and embedded in a picturesque landscape between mythical mountains, the magic forest (to see in the first part of this Travel Vlog), the indescribable Gorge "Wimbachklamm" and the magical Lake "Hintersee". Nature lovers from all over the world have been traveling to this small village for generations to enjoy the breathtaking nature.
At the entrance of the mighty high valley between Watzmann and Hochkalter in the mountaineering village of Ramsau lies a narrow gorge: the Wimbachklamm. Here the water of the torrent rushes in the Wimbachklamm with loud roar to the surface and crashes in steep waterfalls in the narrow rock gorge. On a length of about 200 meters, the trail meanders over bridges and footbridges along the steep cliffs of the gorge. Very spectacular! Then we make our way to Berchtesgaden.
A municipality that is part of the high alpine region in the southern district of Berchtesgadener Land and is almost completely surrounded by the Berchtesgaden Alps and in the east, south and southwest of the Austrian province of Salzburg. There we visit the restaurant "Gasthof zum Neuhaus" in the evening. Quaint, cozy and inviting you can enjoy an excellent meal in a historic setting. The next morning there is an excellent breakfast in our "Pension Gregory". A sympathetic and wonderful accommodation, which we can highly recommend! An extraordinary and dreamlike excursion into the probably most beautiful region of Bavaria comes to an end and we look forward to the next time. That's it.
