if you careless on spending money, UK or GCC is just same. GCC used to be good in terms of savings and standard of living. now it's not anymore as no job security and high cost of living. so I would rather prefer UK for those who want to be with family and kids. lot of jobs are available in the UK if you are willing to do. give priority to buy a house rather than expensive cars.

GCC is still good but just that it is not the same as before..We too need to understa d that life cannot always be in honeymoon mode...Its still very much possible to make good relaxed money in the gulf and have a family life if your job has 2 days off

Very useful one as usual. I want to say that Gulf is not just Dubai or UAE. Gulf Co-Operation countries ( as opposed to “Gulf Countries “) are UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Bahrain is the best of all the above 6 countries to lead a reasonably comfortable life. Not Dubai Qatar or Saudi Arabia!
Some people may not agree with my comment but it is the truth. If one wants to lead a reasonably good life, in Dubai or Abudhabi, Qatar, one needs a lot of money, take my word. Only just 5 pct is able to live nicely. Rest just live but that is not life.

When you are young, that is the time to work, live with minimum budget, avoid costs as much as you can especially in any form of TAXATION, and try to save as much as you can. Look at some of the Rich and famous entrepreneurs they don't pay tax, they go to safe heavens, such as in the Caribbean or Far East. Both of you need to take a piece of paper and start doing the maths for a given period of 30 years comparing two or three countries, then you will be surprised to see the results. Europe and the UK were "designed" to bring in people from other parts of the world - its a "pump and dump" scenario. The wars in the middle east and else where were created in order to boast immigration to the UK and Europe. Once you are in the system, its difficult to get out as the Ego comes into play and the only way out is unless you are really sincere and honest to yourself and realize it. Some or many have realized it and have fled the western countries, including the original inhabitants.

This place is only great for people who can't survive in India with their wages and they don't mind doing any low class work for their survival. Other category is self centered people who are ready to sacrifice their roots for money, they earn money but loose everything in terms connect with families / society in India. I will say it's your perspectives about life matters here and take a call accordingly. Even in high class jobs you may face issues since recruiters always prefer locals over others due to culture and other factors. But definitely there are lot of opportunities available in Financial , services and health care sectors without doubt.
I am feeling like trapped here. Came to uk in March as a nurse. But things are not good here. My OSCE is in august only and it seems like i have to be at Band 3 for 7 months or even more.. Taking family to here is not an easy task..expenses,tax,salary...its not fair..More than that, racial issues are not uncommon.. I desperatly want to go back to India..waiting to earn the money that i have to refund back to hospital. Believe me India is so beautiful.

And you know people will say equality is here, we can raise our voice etc.. But i myself faced very bad racial discrimination and harassing and even i raised my voice. But nothing will happen.. No one cares.. Its truth.. Bitter truth.. They know we are here to work,earn and settle..people will say let it pass let it pass.. 🤣
I decided i dont want to take my kid and family to here.. Because i heard experiences from my colleagues that even from school, kids are being discriminated and harassed by other kids.. And lot more..There is a dark side too for this country which no one dare to explain..
Why do you have to pay the hospital? Everything is usually reimbursed by NHS. So, which hospital are you talking about?

UK is good for people coming directly from India . Not for people from gulf working in good companies. Education , health not exactly free. U pay council tax , National insurance and income tax on top of that from your salary. Car insurance is also expensive. Houses are small in size . Summers getting very hot in UK recently. No ACs in most houses. Most of the houses u get after paying loads of money are decades old. U end up paying for it all your working years. 3 -4 days working is a myth nowadays for nurses. Most of them work extra locums / bank shifts to make more money to support the family due to increased living expenses. Crime rates in London are so bad. Robbery , knife stabbings very common.

I am living in UK. If you have a family income of min 50k and a home /property in kerala, you can live like a king in kerala. In UK you just live your entire life as a class 2 citizen if you earn even 5 lakh per month.

@@User51813 don't be agitated. I just came here as part of job , not to settle anytime. I am just pointing out the situation. As the vloggers said, it is all about perspective. I feel UK is not worth to settle in any scale compared to Kerala. But here you can have some Job exposure, have some fun time,..but not more.
