Can you talk about arguing with umps? Have you ever argued with one and what are you allowed or not allowed to say to them? Any interesting stories about that.
Hey Matt, question... How hard is it to stay healthy in an entire season and how do you and others deal with injuries? How hard is it to play with injuries? How do some players stay healthy throughout their careers and can consistently play 150 games a year?
Hey Matt! Love the videos!! How about sunflower seed related feats? Or who was the most impressive sunflower seed eater you've seen? Basically just a big sunflower seed rundown lol.
If a picher hits one of your teammates and the next inning your coach has your pitcher retaliate is there a signal that lets the infielder's know what's about to happen or is it discussed in the dugout bf the next team comes up to bat?
At what player's age can these 'advisors' start pursuing them for future representation. I imagine they all talk to the scouts and find out where the stud players are coming from.
Padres offer you 30k UNDER slot value, agent negotiates up to slot value. Then you end up paying your agent 65K of the signing bonus putting you further behind than if you had no agent at all and simply taken the first offer. You essentially LOST 35K BECAUSE of your agent. I.e. No agent - Padres offer $1.545 million (30K under slot value), you take it, pay your taxes and move on. With an agent - Helps you negotiate $1.575 million signing bonus, he takes his cut of $65K leaving you with you $1.510 million before taxes, 35K LESS than if you just simply said no agent please. You paid him to screw you over.
I clearly understand that an agent can be a very valuable person, but in this particular instance, Matt got jammed. However, this also leads to another important topic, being able to negotiate, understand how the league works and general life tactics. Many players have been given a scholarship to play baseball at a university or college, in essence, a free education, take advantage of it! The 'Sports' mentality has to take a vacation sometimes, some players do, some don't, baseball IS a business.
Dude, as a beer belly slow pitch softball guy I find your channel fascinating. Thank you for the insight you provide.
Using the bathroom during the game? What do you do when you have to move a solid while kershaw is throwing 9 pitch innings?

Good question...
Would be a great video
Yes pls always wondered that :)
Jack Morgan there’s usually a bathroom behind the dugout
Wow great question

Just figured out how you permanently screwed up your hand...from signing ALL THE DAMNED BASEBALL CARDS! LOL!

Seriously. It would be sad if Trout had injured his hand signing baseball cards.
That's why most autographs are just two small scribbles lol
Did your agent help with your taxes, and how complex were they with playing in multiple states
I enjoy the realistic approach you provide in these topic which give people insight that the average people probably just don't know.
Hey man I love your videos, the insight re: playing in the majors and minors is so interesting and cool to learn about
Do you still chat with your agent Andrew?
I have a question. What are all the different jobs/responsibilities/things they do/ of all the different coaches on teams? Thanks!
What do scouts do when they notice you? Do you sign a contract right away? Are you automatically in the MLB?
Can you do a video involving your days at Wake Forest and give insight on how you developed your game at the collegiate level?
When its not a get away game do you prefer playing in day or night games?
Can you do a video on how to swing during a hit n run or if it's the same

At what age do scouts start looking at you?
Around highs school
How do you find an agent?
If your a first round pick they will find you.
The 3 guys I know said they come to you. Hope it helps.
If you are drafted by a major league organization, they will be all over you like a fly on a turd.
If you are called up to the Majors do you get paid the league minimum for the full year or just games your a part of the roster?
Sir, can you do a video on some of the best team leaders you played with in the MLB. Thanks
Awesome channel! Initially, how did you find your agent ?
Does it hurt to break your bat? How expensive are they? What happens to them when you break them?
Dead serious question. What if you have to drop a duece during the game aka a shit .
If a picher hits one of your teammates and the next inning your coach has your pitcher retaliate is there a signal that lets the infielder's know what's about to happen or is it discussed in the dugout bf the next team comes up to bat?
Could you please expound upon the league minimum for the edification of your viewers who are a bit unfamiliar with how it works?
how do you get into contact with an agent, do they find you? or do you find them? and if you find them how do you do that
Towards the end of the video you answered the question I had. How much of your salary does the agent get cause I know he will get something.

Unfortunately, this “big fish in a small pond” was a huge bust and relies on RUclips to pay his bills now.
@@DDDDdJagr Wot?
Next Video Topic..... BASEBALL GROUPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do agents get money from the endorsements deals?
Knowing Matt I’m sure he didn’t get caught up in it, but I bet he has some stories.
So is getting a cut of your merch strictly a major league thing? Roughly how much is a standard percentage for a MLB player?
Make a video on your biggest regrets in the mlb.
gaybomb penis
I think he already did.
Matt do u still talk to your agent or recommend agents to your players
Did your agent get paid for negotiating your equipment sponsorship deal and your card deal?
"Sliding cards..." Making me cringe lol as a collector. How many corners have you murdered, Matt? :)
more mlb the show
Do you live in Massachusetts now
Predicted Kumar Rocker would go back to Vandy because of money lmaoooo
Matt whats your thoughts on scott boras . Im sorry but he ruined my pirates
I imagine he's like Manny Machado, great if he's on your team and you despise him if he's not lol
Was your signing hand the same hand that got injured all the time? 😜
Hey Matt, I mailed you a card a few months back to autograph. It was a Topps Rookie card. I've never received it back. What happened?
CJ Reilly He got more “famous” on RUclips than he did in the majors.... sorry, minors.” This guy is the example of a first round bust.
I’m a new subscriber, that’s dope you played in the Indians organization. Did you like ohio?
Matt should be an adviser MLB the show
The Players Union and greedy agents are why baseball is suffering. Ticket prices and concession prices way too high.
So, what you’re saying is, at no point in your career did you and your agent have a phone conversation consisting of “SHOW ME THE MONEYYYYYY”?
What do agents do? They part ways with you after you've been d'fa'd for the fifth time.
Agents just take your money.
This guy never answers anybody.
*girls have entered the chat*
Matt: What’s up fellas?
*girls have left the chat*
Oh, sit in an office and work once a year, maybe twice while getting 10% or more? Think ya missed that scrub....

But having an agent is important. A kid can't do all this himself.
