Agree with you. I think a lot of people are too basic for his sport. Also, if some fights are boring, the fault is on the opponent for not counteracting the wrestling.
grappling when they’re going for a submission or ground and pounding is rarely complained about, when someone gets to a dominant position and hold it is when grappling is boring starts to be heard. i personally want to see a fight so when a clearly good grappler isn’t trying to end the fight and contempt with his position i find it boring. do either of you even watch the sport or just fancy yourself one of the smart fight fans who “get it” when people grapple lmao
@@oktubre9861that's the biggest cope i've ever heard, do you seriously like watching a dude pin another dude down for 15-25 mins? i like grappling but not when they stall the round out
@@oktubre9861 yeah not when they've just got their opponent pinned to the fence or on the ground doing nothing, that's when it's boring, fights are meant to be entertaining so when you have guys like belal and merab that focus mainly on control time it's boring, and i liek them both but they have boring styles
I dont think Jailton is a good example of a ‘BJJ nerd’ at all, he has very high level wrestling and overall good grappling as a whole, he dominantly out-grapples the whole heavyweight division in my opinion, bar Jones.
The Dagestani wrestler style isnt just from ppl in dagestan and not everyone in dagestan has that style. I would say maybe a Merab or a Arman have a very similar style to these guys while Ankalaev doesnt seem to use that style pf fighting
the best style is the khabib style, completely mauls opponents and drowns them with pressure, takes essentially no damage. Obviously its important to be good at everything, but I would say you need to be really high level at two to be a real force. Since everyone can do everything now, I generally bet on the really strong grapplers and wrestlers because they can control where the fight goes.
The categorisation of these fighters are interesting to say the least. But Dangerous elite strikers should not be that high since the can easily be countered by Elite Techinical or point fighting strikers or Dagestani wrestlers or Lay and pray type of wrestlers from America
Truth to be told, BJJ nerds are not elite BJJ fighters, Jailton Almeida for example is a pretty good overall grappler with better wrestling than even guys like blaydes. Good BJJ dudes are just all round grapplers nowadays
Point Style: Izzy -Low leg kick, turn and run anime style in a circle around the Octagon, Get back into perfect range. -Rinse and repeat until fight ends.
I would almost put tom aspinall as ko merchant or all gun blazing because we dont see him going the distance we dont see him piece people apart he gets caught and he caughts others and wins per power
Only two or three of the BJJ nerds you named are actually what you’re describing, the rest for the most part are elite chain wrestlers lol, Almeida is arguably the best wrestler at heavyweight
Best style, the Muay Thai Marauder- Petr Yan, Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva, Jose Aldo, Edson Barboza, Charles Oliveira, Rafael Fiziev, Carlos Prates
Calling Alexander volkanovski pillowfist is kinda unfair considering he fought max 3 times who's impossible to break, Brian Ortega who's yet to be knocked out, TKZ who's known for taking damage, yair who survived josh Emmet, aldo who hasn't been knocked out since Petr yan AND topuria who hasn't been beaten
Tbh most actual Dagestani wrestlers look for finishes and actually put on some entertaining fights take khamzat for example most American wrestlers dont finish shit.
The best style is having the name Alex or Sean.
-ov/-ev surname
Autism is the best base for MMA.
Andy Lee you got cut
Sean is boring wtf you smoking
Sean Strickland says hai
I don’t know why some people say grappling is boring maybe sometimes but you’re watching the ultimate fighting championships so there’s all fighting

Pillowfist is Strickland for middleweight 🗣️
Movsar Evloev is not from Dagestan, but from Ingushetia, a neighbour region that has more in common with Chechnya.
Seems that for longer carriers dominant wrestler seems to have an easier time. Strikers have more of a chance getting gunshy or cracking their chins.
Bedtime MMA the new p4p mma RUclipsr hopperomma down to the number 2 spot

Why
Aspinall can also be considered for the all guns blazing and KO merchant category imo
stop showing dagestanis in a single category.khamzat islam ankalaev, all three of them are so different fighters
true
and Khamzat isnt a dagestani
1.3 BJJ is diabolical
And again, if sambo was easy, it would be called Jiu-Jitsu 😆
Rank every single ufc champion to ever exist from worst to best in each weight class

Aspinall would be a problem for him
I swear to God, Carlos Prates is like 80% legs.
royval is not a point striker
He is though, he doesn’t rock people often, he doesn’t use flashy/unorthodox techniques that much, and usually wins just by sheer volume of strikes

Meinfield is by no means a control grappler and Brendan Allen looks more for the RNC than control
Why would you separate elite strikers from the rest of the strikers? Of course they're gonna be better. You've really lost your criteria brother.

interesting that all the russian fighters with a wrestling background have uncanny cardio and conditioning, im sure theres nothing going on there
I like that.. elite dangerous striker in Pereira made me become fan for life for stone hands fighting KO, and he has all other tools too.
Does anyone know the name of the first background song?

The best style is being the p4p greatest man of all time Jon jones (ignore the criminal record pls) - Dana White
