Hearing that music in that location, It makes me think of the ruins of Saarthal City after it was sacked by the snow elves. Seeing a once prosperous city now in ruins leaving Ahzidal consumed by darkness but also his deep hate for the snow elves. This was before he became a lich alright.
Okay... so I'm torn here. On the one hand I really can appreciate all the love, the effort, and the hard work the mod author puts into his work. That being said, there is something to be said about things that are simplistic. The storylines in his mods are... interesting... to say the least. As a result I'm torn between his really well crafted, fun, and epic boss fights... against story that is... pretty dark, grim, and depressing and extremely complex to the point you kind of have to read a guide to have an understanding of what's happening.
The esoteric story is the most fun part to me, it is like finding an ancient tome and deciphering it bit by bit. Incomprehensible at first, but highly intriguing. Vicn mods pulled me in with cool bosses, a nice dark aesthetic, hating Ja'zel, but it is the mysterious nature of the story that kept me playing. The mods have pushed me to read up on Elder Scrolls lore, which I dismissed at first but now count among the best fantasy lore out there.
Yeah, the story is a little bit hard to grasp, especially considering the fact that you need to know original TES lore for full understanding. It is worth tho, personally I read many things about the story through guides, I am too dumb for this lol. But never regretted, Vicn trilogy has very solid and interesting plot
I just finished(?) Glenmoril God, nothing can even explain my feeling, when i started climbing the mountain and traversing through the ruined Saarthal with this ost plays in background That ost alone makes this area is my favorite Also if you dont mind, i have some question since i think you know a lot about this mod (Rn, i already completed all npc quest, and explored every place save for 1) -Where to use Kyne Idol and Mar'dro moth? only Mar'dro and Aisha responds to the idol, but i didnt found any use for the moth -Seat of Kyne, Yelem Theatre, Tower of Silence, is there anything to do right here or it's still under development? particularly i saw one area behind Seat of Kyne in minimap and this is the only unexplored area rn -I notice Hamah moves from Graveyard-Church and finally White-coated gate, is there any more location where she will appear? -Can i do something about the corpse with owl mask in Saarthal? -Which mod do you use for the snowflakes effect? (graphic and the snowfall intensity) It's time to move on into Unslaad, waiting for the future update
I love this area as well, I can't wait until its finished. (There's supposed to be further content relating to the Snow Elf city and the Tree of Y'ffre beyond the Throne of Kyne. It will be a part of the furthering of Hamah's currently unfinished story line in the mod. Its blocked off as of right now, this is the unexplored area you were talking about.) - Kyne's idol is for Aisha's quest line. I have a video showcasing the entirety of it, you can check it out if you think you've missed anything. But it will stay in your inventory even after Aisha's quest is over, I like to think of it as a souvenir to be kept in Aisha & Ja'cobee's memory (this will become more clear in Unslaad). - Mar'dro's moth has no use as of this edition of Glenmoril, however it will be an important item that plays into the endings of Glenmoril. - All three of those locations aren't fully incorporated yet. If you've explored them then you've done everything you can at those places currently. - The Hamah locations I remember are: Yelem's Sanctum, Dark Graveyard, Brunnr Church, at the beginning of the forest to the east called "Harvest Festival", Worm-Eaten Port, & the White-Coated Gate. There could be more that I've forgotten. - You can't do anything with the corpse wearing the Gray Owl mask. Its just a pointer to the fact that Orlando made that child in Saarthal become the new Gray Owl. - I have a couple snow mods, but I think its this mod that makes the snowflakes I have: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/56846 Idk if any of the other snow mods effect the intensity/rate of the snowflakes, so I'll list them just in case: Fluffy Snow, Better Dynamic Snow SE, Simple Snow Improvements, & Simplicity of Snow. Unslaad is great! I love the epilogue especially.
@@scrub9986 Thank you for the reply! So, pretty much i finished Glenmoril for now, but imma gonna check Hamah location that you mention and your mod too. I also assume the sword in the Village of Over There is still unobtainable, even tho the wep already exist and can be used Also yeah, i can't wait for the finished version too, i would like to explore Saarthal and Silver mountain more. Ahzidal and Birthplace of Curse is my favorite boss fight in this mod. If you wondering what the purple orb on 1:52, if you interract with it you can skip some of his phases It's time for Unslaad
@@coolchaserz You actually can get that sword. There's a dragon in the Kyne's Garden forest named Aushahlaas that gives you a quest, completing this quest allows you to claim the sword in the village. Also I didn't know that about the purple orb, you learn something new everyday.
@@scrub9986 Ahh so that's why. Just found the dragon, the entrance to the lair blends too damn well with the rocky terrains. While most wep in Glenmoril looks good, kinda sad most of them doesn't have special effect or skill like Vigilant wep do (like ebony berserker sword have sweep effect on regular attack and quake on charged) You can actually skip all Ahzidal phases except chaos, and the orbs are located in different thrones for each phase
There is supposed to be another area that follows this boss fight that is not implemented yet, so its probably the case that this story in particular with Ahzidal isn't fully in the mod yet, so we can't say for sure. I mean, maybe we can make a guess that this is a "piece" of Ahzidal or his essence that's been brought into Svatrbrunnr like the piece of Jhunal the Gray in Coldharbour.
@@scrub9986 just my guess, but he's talking about how Vicn is a Japanese, so his stories feel really Japanese. If that is the case then I somewhat can agreed too, but in constrast, I am a fan.
