This is hands down one of the best COD campaigns I’ve played. 14 years later and it still holds up. You should definitely play Modern 1-3. You’ll love them.
Fun fact if you take the 1st letter from each mission starting from vorkuta (excluding project nova cause you play as Reznov) and apply the NATO alphabet it actually says “Reznov is dead” little details like these is what made old school call of duty so good and it’s missing from modern Call of duty.
Plus the fact you can shoot Reznov over and over and never fail from “friendly fire is not tolerated” but when you shoot any of your other allies it fails you
Hudson putting his shades on with 0 music was hilarious 🤣 honestly you’ve missed out on a big part of why this campaign is awesome because of copyright, hopefully you can experience it in the future in it’s true soundtrack glory
Fun fact: Around 1:25:21 when he says “proceed to target. Oswald compromised” he’s talking about Lee Harvey Oswald. Somehow he was compromised so Mason followed his number orders and proceeded to target, being jfk
1:19:56 Not the random NPC still firing at us while in the middle of a cutscene. I guess that's the advantage of in game cutscenes you get moments like this lol
I highly recommend u play world at war first before black ops 2 World at war really shows why reznov is so pissed after dimitri’s death and being betrayed. This man through hell and back.
@@efrainrodriguez8973 I played it on the PS3 and it has a lot of problems with the game design. Buggy was the wrong term for it, but it had a lot of level design issues such as unfair enemy spawn rate and it's almost impossible to not die in certain points. Maybe it's a skill problem for me but I got through every other call of duty with little to no deaths. Also, the story isn't very compelling compared to the likes of the OG modern warfare trilogy and black ops.
Yes. Throughout the game it is heavily implied that Mason killed JFK. That’s why when Mason is choking Dragovich he says: “Tried to make me kill my own president” and Dragovich replies with: “Tried?” meaning he actually did succeed. If you recall the part where Mason speaks with Kennedy after he escaped Vorkuta, there’s a moment where you hear a screech and Mason pulls a pistol and aims it Kennedy. Hinting at this. The ending cinematic is I believe to be real life footage of that day where Kennedy was murdered. At the end you see Mason amongst the crowd. Yet another hint that he was the one that killed Kennedy. The whole numbers thing was the Soviet’s equivalent to MK Ultra. And yes, the brainwashing did work to some extent. But Victor Reznov sabotaged it in order to carry out his revenge on Dragovich for putting him in prison after the events of the mission where they go looking for the German doctor and the Nova 6 gas. I’m guessing he was put in prison because Dragovich accused him of being a traitor to the motherland. And since Dragovich held a much higher rank (General) than him he was able to get him jailed for that setting in motion the events of Vorkuta where Reznov and Mason meet and come up with the plan to escape. Yes, Reznov was a real person (well in the game). But he did in fact die after the escape, like Hudson revels to you after Mason finally remembers. But somehow he stayed inside Mason’s mind. Possibly something to do with the sabotaging he did on Mason’s brainwashing. Only Mason could see and speak to him. If you recall the part where they are in Vietnam and Mason goes into a rat tunnel with another soldier, then Reznov jumps out of nowhere and Mason starts talking to him. Then after they split up, the other soldier looks back at him and says: “What the f*** is wrong with you?” Because clearly Mason was talking to himself. You can also see this when you play as Hudson when him and Weaver go to Rebirth Island to look for Steiner. The ending cut scene reveals Mason holding Steiner at gun point and him saying: “My name is Victor Reznov, and I will have my revenge”. Even though you can clearly see it’s Mason. Even Hudson says “I didn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes”. And no. Victor Reznov was not brainwashed. Only Mason.
Yeah but the second agent that was in charge of Assassination of JFK was never found so the fact that game was trying to say that MASON was the second one gives me chills till this day CALL OF DUTY REALLY CARED FOR HISTORY
Nice summary. And I kinda like that she picked up on it herself and realised that whenever Reznov spoke, nobody ever addressed him because he wasn’t there.
rumor had it that there were 2 assassin that tried to kill JFK IRL. but for the game mason could still not have been the one that kill JFK. Dragovich was just stating the fact that JFK still ended up died. so Mason could be innocent in the fact that he didn't kill him.
Fun Fact In the mission payback the voice actor of Woods who also did the motion capture this was his first scene for black ops he did and the “Don’t you touch me” was totally unscripted 40:25 you can hear Sam Worthington’s Natural Accent come out
To sum up for you, Alex Mason is The Second Shooter Conspiracy Theory when he said "Ascension" at the end means he was activated as a sleeper agent by The Numbers Lady holding the paper and u can see in the paper the word ascension at the beginning and the numbers broadcast starts, Alex Mason is now doing what he was build to do for Dragovich, kill JFK. He was there and Oswald was also an agent but Oswald was compromised because Mason said : " Proceed to target, Oswald compromised ". We don't know if Mason really killed JFK or not so it's still a mystery but since he is being involved, it doesn't remove his status being innoncent. You got the Ghost Glitch Rebirth Island, it happens rarely i think. Edit: Victor Reznov was never brainwashed, he was sent to Vorkuta after the ww2 ship incident and he discovered the brainwashing room and did it to alex Mason and made instructions to take revenge in case he died. Only Mason was brainwashed by Dragovich and then Reznov. In the terminal computer, behind the chair you are stuck on ( i mean when you are in the menu ), there is a document about someone being John Trent who is being Reznov but it doesn't say it's him, he keeps saying things Reznovs says in the emails documents, this is a small easter egg to imply that Reznov survived. And also in the terminal computer , there is an info that Woods is being alive and in Vietnam prison in Hanoï also a small easter egg.
Black Ops’ epilogue is easily one of the most wtf moments I’ve ever experienced in a CoD game. The revelation of the numbers and seeing Mason in the footage was absolutely bonkers. Thanks for another great play through! 🙂
@@Idefkwtda kinda ruins the immersion and makes the scenes less impactful, plus she could've just edited the copyrighted music out but still have the soundtrack on.
The blackbird isn't a fighter. It's an extreme altitude spy-plane with no combat capabilities. Its defense was simply that it is hard to spot on radar, and it flies higher and faster than anything else, achieving more than three times the speed of sound. One was never successfully shot down, despite hundreds of missiles being launched at them during its service life.
Yes, and it's still one of the fastest planes on record to this day. According to the CIA and Lockheed, the A-12 spy plane is slightly faster but otherwise I believe it's the fastest plane ever invented. It's so fast a special titanium alloy had to be used for it to withstand both the extreme heat and stress to the plane. To acquire enough titanium the United States had to purchase it from USSR through fake operations in third world countries. Only 32 blackbirds were built and 12 were lost in accidents.

@@carl_consumer.of.reality People keep saying that, but I haven't found any proof of any retconning in the Black ops series. mainly just baseless claims from fanboys.
Rebirth Island from Warzone is based off two things. The name and backstory is from this game, and the location is based off Alcatraz Prison from Black ops 2 Zombies
It's weird how they decided to make the warzone version of Rebirth Island off alcatraz instead off of the actual location where the Soviets experimented with deadly biological agents.
Loved this reaction. This is one of those stories that I will always remember no matter what. This campaign is underrated because it's easily the greatest cod story and close to my favorite story in general. And sky you predicted a lot of the plot and even noticed the weird patterns and knew something was off about reznov. Thanks! You should play bo2 next and react to all endings

41:52 that’s called Russian roulette. They only put one bullet in the chamber and you shoot. If it’s empty the gun “reloads” and the bullet moves one chamber, so you never know when it’s going to fire or not. That’s why Woods made a call out to Mason and said “this time, this time - do it”
@@carl_consumer.of.reality I heard some people say he felt the “weight” and others say he just took a wild guess. Either way if the gun was empty there they would still fight their way out. The only reason Woods took a shot at himself was to make them think they were in on the game, after that I don’t think Woods wanted Mason to risk it by possibly killing himself, so he told him to take a shot. This is my theory btw.
What I liked about the story was Reznov tampering with Mason's programming at Vorkuta, and the effect it had on him. RUclipsr Shandab3ar also experienced something similar in her playthrough of bo1. She got attacked by an invincible russian officer when playing as mason in rebirth island
@@LimitlessEntertainment826it would be so good if it was actually an easter egg but i dont think it was because its so out of place to just have an immortal npc shooting at you
Call of Duty Black Ops 1 is one of my favourite game. The campaign is absolutely awesome. But you know playing it without any music in the background is a total crime.
1:52:15, no, they implied that there was a second assasing for kennedy, in case the other one couldn't complete the mission, we know mason didn't do it bc he was with kennedy before he step in the car
A little fun fact here: If you shot an allie, the game will tell you that "Friendly fire is not accaptebal" or whatever. But when you shoot at Reznov, nothings happening. The game will move on, like he's not there.
10/10 isn't too high, this game set the benchmark for storytelling in Call Of Duty, and every game since has owed some of its singleplayer experience to Black Ops, by either directly referencing or continuing the story and to the characters. And I would honestly say you should consider a re-playthrough on your own and turn the music on, it adds a whole nother level to the experience. The music is perfect and despite being made with modern instruments and sounds, it just sounds *right*, same with BO2.
58:02 Rebirth Island is the same (they recreated the look of the island). Fun fact: Adler was also on this island during the invasion capturing Stitch following the events of BO cold war
16:31 Thats the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. Its a long-range, high altitude, Mach-3 reconnaissance aircraft which is retired but the engineering behind it is insane, capable of hitting 2,200 mph and the pilots needed special pressure suits that were modified spacesuits because they flew so high (80,000-85,000 ft). You can probably find a video or videos about it.
1:14:22 Yes, lore-wise the Nova 6 gas is the same gas used in Call of Duty: Warzone. Nova 6 gas is based off the real life chemical weapon Mustard Gas during World War I and World War II.
now that the campaign is over let me tell you about a cool easter egg. in the mission "numbers" you can actually get your hands on the zombies wonder weapon "thundergun"
1:14:11 its heavily implied to be the same gas, yes. I think there's even a Nova-6 themed microtransaction pack which has Hazmat stuff which you can use for Warzone as well.
1:35:00 I thought you were doing pretty good flying that helo actually! You were on the side of the boat you needed to be and didn't get blown up, I'd say that's a win!
41:50 The game the VC forced Woods and Mason to play is called "Russian Roulette". In this game, 1 of the 6 chambers of the revolver is loaded with a bullet. You spin the chamber around, aim it at your head, and then shoot. If the bullet gets shot, you know what happens. That was the plan, that's why they gave Woods and Mason a gun lol.
Heads up for bo2, your decisions in campaign affect the ending you get, make sure you check the objectives before each mission and complete ALL of them if you want the best one
18:25 That plane you are in is the SR-71 Blackbird. It's the real life spy plane that can go so high up just under the Earth's atmosphere near space. I giggled when you said "it's like an arcade game" because that's a funny way of seeing it😄 You are high up in the sky so the enemy countries don't spot you and you are relaying to the foot soldiers what's going on near them.
watching you have the lightbulb moment about reznov before the reveal even happened was so awesome haha. It was confirmed that some of the events of the BO2 campaign lead into the BO6 campaign coming out later this year. Can't wait for your let's play of that.
22:38 - that's not a bug and you did nothing wrong. Apparently that is not a cutscene but rather a loading screen and if you have a fast drive it "skips" it. Congratulations on beating the game! Can't wait for BO2!
I am so glad you loved this game! I remember it was mind blowing when I was a kid playing it in one day and skipping school to play it. I was just learning of some of these conspiracy theories too so that made it really cool. It was so great watching through all this and hearing your reactions and reremebering this game!
this is really cool and im glad you played it and legit got into it. that moment at 1:18:59 was hilarious, funniest thing ive seen all week even tho it kinda ruined that serious moment
Ah man the music is such a key experience to this campaign. I'm very sorry that the copyright restrictions make you have to endure a half hearted playthrough. The soundtrack was such a key part to this when i played during childhood especially during cutscenes
That glitched immortal guy during one of the most dramatic moments of the game is hilarious. Even when you're basically in a cutscene, he kept shooting...
32:50 everyone I see ignores the explosive bolts for the crossbow, I ignore the normal ones 37:53 they stop when you get on the back of the truck like they told you do and the avalanche is triggered.
Let’s go! One of the very best CoD campaigns. Classic. Though I think MW(2007) & MW2 (2009) remain at the top for me tbh. MW2 is the best CoD game periodt.
So cool to see a fist time reaction, and from a woman no less, who is never suspect to play cod. It’s a great story, and Reznov will always be badass to me. Glad you enjoyed.
You should play “Call of Duty World at War” you play as a Marine in the pacific fighting the Japanese, meanwhile you also play a Russian soldier fighting the Nazi’s in Europe. It also explains Reznov’s story a little bit
The music really adds to the scenes. You should keep it on for the future games so you can experience it. The sunglasses bit at the end would probably be less awkward lol
Short but amazing play through!!! Excited to see you play the other COD campaigns! PS I would love to see you play the Gears of War series, I get the feeling you might like it.

This too was my first COD campaign and its still one of my favorites. You did very well for your first campaign playthrough. Definitely recommend Black ops 2, and modern warfare 1-3. All are phenomenal. 😊
The reason Mason and Woods were giving the gun after Bowman’s death was a for game their captors were playing called russian roulette. You load one bullet in, and then spin the cylinder. Now you have 1/6 of a chance that the gun is loaded and then you “play” as they were telling woods and mason to do There’s a scene in the movie called “ The deer hunter” in which they play this exact game as prisoners in Vietnam.

The zombies in Black Ops 1 and 2 are the most terrifying sound you'll ever hear if you want to play the zombie capaign
Don’t know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but if you take the first letter of each mission designation, it spells “xREZNOVxISxDEADx”
Some dead space type of shit but more complex
19:23 that is a Steyr Aug an Austrian Bullpup. One of my favorite weapons.
A tree is the WORST place for a sniper to be. Because they can’t retreat if things go bad. And plus it’s very easy to be gunned down.
let sky have her sniper dreams 🤣
It was effective enough against the most powerful military in the world
That Russian soldier who came back from dead, that was effect of the Nova 6... he's basically a zombie
RUclipsr Shandab3ar also experienced something similar in her playthrough of bo1. She got attacked by an invincible russian officer when playing as mason in rebirth island
Just looks like a glitch or maybe an unfinished Easter egg
@@LimitlessEntertainment826it would be so good if it was actually an easter egg but i dont think it was because its so out of place to just have an immortal npc shooting at you
@krustyman5151 yeah and it ruined the cutscene and made the ai glitch out so Def not supposed to happen
@@airtiger4577 i saw a youtuber (Jonesy) had that but it was the "WMD" mission so i don't know what it's supposed to be
"Stick to the shadows" *Stands directly in the light *
😂😂
The immortal soldier at 1:19:08 had me dying.😂😂😂😂 bug of the year.
You should play it on your own time with the music on, its part of what makes the campaign epic!
The immortal soldier was hilarious! That ending blew my mind back when the game first came out
that inmortal soldier bug was super hilarious 🤣first time I saw that glitch
Call of duty black ops Cold War is technically the next game in the black ops timeline if you are wanting to play in chronological order
1:35:00 I thought you were doing pretty good flying that helo actually! You were on the side of the boat you needed to be and didn't get blown up, I'd say that's a win!
19:23 That gun is the AUG and for this mission it has a supressor and ACOG scope :)
The immortal soldier took me out XD
1:19:00
Heads up for bo2, your decisions in campaign affect the ending you get, make sure you check the objectives before each mission and complete ALL of them if you want the best one
another amazing playthrough 10/10, I honestly found it even more immersive without the music. can't wait to see BO2!!
Pretty god damn powerful camera on that plane to be able to see that up close from the edge of the atmosphere
@@carl_consumer.of.reality Yer damn right! 😄 Military technology is INSANE!
watching you have the lightbulb moment about reznov before the reveal even happened was so awesome haha.
Another playthrough finished. Can’t wait to see how it ends
Without the music, the scene where "reznov " kill steiner feel weird😶.
Another mindfuck game is Spec Ops the Line brutal story that makes you question your own judgement.
I am so glad you loved this game! I remember it was mind blowing when I was a kid playing it in one day and skipping school to play it. I was just learning of some of these conspiracy theories too so that made it really cool. It was so great watching through all this and hearing your reactions and reremebering this game!
5:56 "is this a boss fight?" Never change SkyyTea 🤣
this is really cool and im glad you played it and legit got into it. that moment at 1:18:59 was hilarious, funniest thing ive seen all week even tho it kinda ruined that serious moment
1:19:06 LMFAO what are these moments in your games!!!
The music for the game was turned off, what a bummer😢
Yeah ik the music was really perfect for this especially when Hudson put on his shades
@@AshyBlasianyeah she's not listening to the fans she could've edited it for the music if its copyright.
@@djgabucay yeah it’s just that I’ve seen others play this game and the actual music is off but for the action scenes they are on
@@djgabucayor ignoring comments because people spoil shit
No one was ready for that twist in 2010🥹🫡 great storytelling. Miss that call of duty
1:10:05 That sounds just like Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Spider-Man
Good walkthrough but for BO2 don’t turn of the music it leaves an impact on the scenes
Please play the OG Modern Warfare series too. The campaigns are so good and luckily two of them are remastered.
Ah man the music is such a key experience to this campaign. I'm very sorry that the copyright restrictions make you have to endure a half hearted playthrough. The soundtrack was such a key part to this when i played during childhood especially during cutscenes
1:31:37 this part without the soundtrack is gold
What lol I thought it needed it
@@eric8031he’s using sarcasm?
@@StarWarsSeeker damn I’m a lil high but still it sucks without it.
@@eric8031How are u dawg😂 He's just saying it's funny cz it's so goofy without the music
@@carl_consumer.of.reality yea lol I was tweaking when I read it
Can’t wait to watch. Been loving these videos
That glitched immortal guy during one of the most dramatic moments of the game is hilarious. Even when you're basically in a cutscene, he kept shooting...
32:50 everyone I see ignores the explosive bolts for the crossbow, I ignore the normal ones
37:53 they stop when you get on the back of the truck like they told you do and the avalanche is triggered.
As a kid I didn't know the Russian roulette scene was from the movie The deer Hunter.
You sure you wanna take a selfie now 😂11:54
Let’s go! One of the very best CoD campaigns. Classic.
Though I think MW(2007) & MW2 (2009) remain at the top for me tbh. MW2 is the best CoD game periodt.
I've played this campaign like 30+ times and its the first time im seeing an immortal npc bug.
I love how at the end if u find all the intel the game basically hints that the C.I.A had JFK assassinated😅
I always get chills at the end of this game, so excited to watch your Black Ops 2 playthrough.
Ice Cube: PT boat!
Black Lagoon enjoyers: Ahhhh heck yeah! LFG!
CoD WaW enjoyers: Harrington stfu!!! *black cats mission memories*
i loved your playthrough sky! i hope you'll play and enjoy more CoD games in the future !
1:19:00 it is insane this rare glitch happens at the most IMPORTANT story beat of the game
Short but amazing play through!!! Excited to see you play the other COD campaigns! PS I would love to see you play the Gears of War series, I get the feeling you might like it.
This games story is phenomenal. All the plot twists with the brainwashing, rezov, the jfk assassination. It really was a 1 of a kind story
This campaign was amazing & had a crazy twist. You should play modern warfare 1 & 2 & 3. You will shed tears
After you are done playing the black ops campaigns Id highly recommend playing the modern warfare campaigns. Other great solo game campaigns are World At War, Ghosts, Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare
19:24 It's called Steyr AUG. Also anachronistic.
Thank you for teaching me that word 🙏🏼 on her first video I commented about how the first mission of this game does that really bad but I didn’t know that term
@@lucasingram77 I just read that comment. Yeah m14s would been better or maybe thompsons or m3 basically ww2 and korean war stuff or ak.
So many things wrong with this game historically especially with the weapons. Still a great game.
You should really play World at War, it’s a prequel to reznovs story and a the best adaption of a world war 2 video game ever
The Best Story in all Call of Duty games. Epic journey i love it
Loved this game when I was growing up 😁it was fun watching you play a game that I enjoyed and have tons of memories of from my teenage years 💯
I suggest you play alien isolation ,it is a good game
This too was my first COD campaign and its still one of my favorites. You did very well for your first campaign playthrough. Definitely recommend Black ops 2, and modern warfare 1-3. All are phenomenal. 😊
The reason Mason and Woods were giving the gun after Bowman’s death was a for game their captors were playing called russian roulette.
You load one bullet in, and then spin the cylinder. Now you have 1/6 of a chance that the gun is loaded and then you “play” as they were telling woods and mason to do
There’s a scene in the movie called “ The deer hunter” in which they play this exact game as prisoners in Vietnam.
40:40 'The Deer Hunter' reference 👀
You have to play the original COD MW1, MW2, and MW3.
The best games ever made.
Promise you will enjoy them
41:53 They wanted them to delete themselves. I guess they didn’t think they were so highly trained lol.
I really love just the straight transition from end of campaign this and WaW were amazing especially watching gameplays just to see ppls bare confusion 😂😂
41:08 You can’t kill me is a iconic line by Frank Woods
1:19:01 is the first black ops zombie😅
I love her shoked face so much, it's so natural 🥰😄
