  • How To Restore Headlights Quick & Easy with Headlight Lens Restorer Kit | Turtle Wax!!!In this video, i show you how to restore your headlights fast and simple with the Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer kit. After time and exposure to climate elements, automotive headlights can be diminished due to sun damage, oxidation, and scratches. Cloudy, foggy and yellowed lenses can reduce headlamp function at night or during poor visibility conditions, which is especially dangerous during the Autumn/Winter season. The Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit contains the essential tools to restore headlight and taillight clarity at home, without the need to invest in new headlight lenses.

6.Dry the headlight with a dry microfiber towel.Apply clarifying compound and rub thoroughly back and forth until the headlight clarifies.Let compound dry to a haze and buff with microfiber towel.
7.Clean both lenses before opening the base coat wipe.open pouch containing the base coat wipe.Quickly coat both lenses with the wipe.Once dry immediately follow with the lens sealing wipe.Coating will dry within 24 hours.

Thanks for the video. Just reading the instructions was not very good. I now have 2 very bright and shiny headlights after watching this.
(PS had to turn the volume way down though.)

I ended up doing the whole procedure twice because I wasn't happy with the first round. I still wasn't 100% pleased until I put the sealant on which made the lenses pop! 2013 Avalon which has fairly large lenses.

I use a blue kitchen scotch scratch (blue does not scratch plastic in the kitchen Ex. microwave controls, the green scratch does scratch/scars plastic) and Meguiars Restore & Polish which did an amazing job. I was still not satisfied, so used the blue scratch pad and wet baking soda - which took another layer of the oxidated yellow scum off. I did use Meguiars polish to try and protect it for 6 months. This only lasts 6 months, it must be restored biannually.

Thanks for this clear tutorial... There seems to be two versions of the Turtle Wax kit. The "improved" one has only one sanding pad (with two grits) and the "original" one has two pads (total four grits). Which one should I buy? Is the one with two pads / four grits (the one in your video) better?

Did mine today did very well and lights looked great. I Used one kit per light mine was not bad but if your lights are pretty back i would recommend one kit per light i dont think the sand paper that you get with a kit will make it past one headlight. Plus i got my kits on sale.

The best thing to do is to finish sanding and applying the final coat of compound on both lights before opening the base coat and sealant packets. There is enough for two headlights. How is yours holding up? I did mine this weekend and am impressed with the results.

You may have bought the TW "Speed" Headlight Lens Restorer Kit, which has less pads, other supplies. Hope it still worked well for you.
