MLF gave a more serious penalty to Watson for talking than they gave to guys last week who intentionally ran a no wake and almost killed people! That's messed up.

Floyd buckets is playing checkers and Watson is playing chess. Watson knew if he poked the bear enough it would push Floyd over the edge. Now that Watson has been “suspended” until December of 2025, he won’t even pretend to watch what he says about the shenanigans at MLF. This is gonna get uglier, but I think Watson just increased his fan base. Fish boat docks!
My thoughts: if you cheat and get info you get a slap on the wrist. If you break rules you get a small fine. If you are friends with Boyd all will be washed clean and swept under the rug. However, if you speak your mind or if you cross Boyd you get kicked out. There is no justice here. Only a power trip. This is the perception of MLF. I dont know all the facts in this case but because of past failures it sure make this the perception.
My guess is that "World Wide" better ramp up production of his "FBD" hats and shirts because he just became a wealthy man and his brand will grow exponentially now that he is free to go on every podcast and you tube channel to speak his mind.
So I think he doesn't like the constant format change, the cutting of the field end of this year. It's odd that Boyd still fishes HIS OWN TOUR. Maybe he should not be on the water fishing as an owner, him or Gary. And from their standings neither will make the cut the end of the year anyways....but I'm sire Boyd will figure out a way to stay. I get it when people don't back someone else when it doesn't affect them. Just the world we live in. But when decisions are made that has to do with policy changes that basically fires 35 employees, even the one at the top should defend the ones being affected. Loyalty is just a word in the dictionary!
Way overkill for him pushing their buttons. Guys fail polygraphs all the time and are protected, but for being honest he gets the boot. The league is circling the drain, do in part to poor sportsmanship, and changing rules etc. on the fly constantly. They tell me 80 is the number, then it is fifty, now it is what going to be 65 just a month or two after telling me it was going to be50. They cannot stay out of their own way.
All of this started because Wheeler failed a poly graph (or had questionable results). By rule, he should have been eliminated from the rest of that tournament. James spoke up about the situation and Boyd suppressed the whole situation as to "to ruin the young anglers career". Now with that being said, there are a few issues: * Wheeler is sponsored by Boyd (conflict of interest) * Boyd ignored his own Major League policies (failure to equitably enforce the rules/policies of MLF) * Suspending James is a clear case of retaliation (imagine doing that in a normal workplace) If these things occurred in a normal company, Boyd would find himself in hot water with Human Resources and likely be terminated for cause.
If what you say is true. The wrong person was suspended. That's why I quit fishing tournaments. Something is always questionable. Also to many ways to cheat.
I think leadership let their personal feelings make decisions on this. If they are going to be strict on JMFW then they need to be the same with the poster boys of BPT

Sets up for a fun lawsuit, dependent on how the BPT contract is written and if James wants to knuckle up. Also sets an environment that a whole lot of eyeballs are looking at and thinking it stinks to high heaven of MLF leadership drunk on their power and massive egos.
First off, I like Watson. He’s one of the best on camera too. Sadly, without a stellar year, he was going to get cut from the BPT in the next year or 2. The suspension from all MLF tournaments was personal. He likes fishing the Toyotas and is good at them. Boyd wanted to make a point here. Cheaters do what they want but a guy talking gets the ax. This is a make or break point for MLF. The fans are already frustrated with the first 2 days being cut from Live, now a fan favorite has been axed, not to mention the stuff from last year where many put an * by the 2023 Angler of the Year. Big names have already left because this is about to get ugly. If they want to fix things, they need to start putting out press releases on every rule violation and actually punish them. There has to be transparency in order to gain trust back from the fans. Anglers will quit this cheating nonsense once there is a reason to. After the air is cleared and consequences are put in place, fans will trickle back in and sponsor dollars will pick back up. Until that time, big names like Jordan Lee will continue to leave. If Boyd is actually the one making the calls, I don’t know who else would be, he needs to own up and step away. This was supposed to be an angler (plural) ran league, not angler (singular). James did everyone a favor by kickstarting this and let’s be real, he didn’t really say too much just kept it real. It’s up to the rest of the anglers to keep it going. Fishing fans really wanted this to work. It’s fun, exciting, and simply more fishing content. The actions of a few are ruining it for everyone else. Cut out the disease now before it kills, whoever it is. Your turn DD.

Duckett fined him previously for disparaging comments made on various podcasts, etc. in past. This time Watson was selling FBD t shirts at the classic and was at Luke Bryan’s talking about how he needed to sell 1k of them to offset previous fines. Boyd slapped him hard now. Watson will recover though and grow from this.
BPT is a train wreck and James is calling it like he always does. Changing all fish to 5 and back. The convoluted format with all the groups and cuts is just ridiculous. The MLF Cups was a winning formula but they couldn’t have mucked up this BPT tour anymore if they tried.
I don't care for James to much because of his language and attitude sometimes but I do respect the fact he stands for what he believes is right. I see there are rules you have to follow and all pro anglers sign to verify they understand those rules. when a pick and choose system of rule inforcement is used, it will never make sense or be a platform that will be there for the long haul. Unfortunetly i believe the end is close for this tour, unless someone new steps in and does it the right way.
I like James but common on man you can't walk around with a FBD hat and think something is not going to happen. He sold the hats and made a big deal with it at the classic. he signed an agreement just like every other pro angler. When you violate that agreement consequences happen. I miss the Bill Dance and Hank Parker days of long ago. Don’t even keep up with mlf or bass anymore. I’m sure stuff went on with Ray Scott back in the day but we didn’t hear about it unless you were standing there. Not the case today.
How can Boyd Duckett be one of the people who make decisions/run the organization and still be allowed to compete? This is kinda like WWE having a wrestler be the commissioner. MLF is going down the tubes and Duckett is pushing in downward.

Hard to comment without more facts… if I assume the violations were not on the water fishing violations then they may be violations regarding conduct unbecoming or against the MLF brand which I suspect is in your MLF angler agreement as it is in most professional sport agreements. Big professional organizations don’t tolerate their shield being tarnished.

this is culmination of bad leadership and also the leadership not speaking to their anglers and working together. Watson has asked multiple times for meetings and been denied and also fined years ago while other anglers cheat and win and nothing is done. it is bad look for the BPT and then they mishandled the cutting of the field late last year affecting guys lives. did they think everyone would stay quiet?
If it was a failure, it wouldn’t have survived as long as it has. Much less having 50 top sponsors financially supporting the league and extending their contracts.

Loved the format MLF brought to the table with Catch, weigh, release. Enjoyed the score tracker for building the chance for "buzzer beater" catches. It was a great product with the Cups, but the BPT has been toxic and full of problems from the start. Should have left it with no practice and no advance notice of the location. Boyd must be Joe Biden's lost twin judging by the decisions being made. Sad.

I really don’t understand how everyone thinks you can talk crap about your work place and everything should be ok. Try going to your boss or company you work for and say or do negative things and see how long you stay employed. He or anyone should be able to voice opinions but in a way so as not to degrade the company you’re trying to be apart of.

Also your good with being told you would get xyz and be able to do xyz so you start your job, then after say you make too much money just for instance your boss says well we have to do this which is not what you signed uo fir. In a sport that desperately needs more eyeballs, they just did themselves a huge disservice. James will never be accused of being the most skilled or accomplished angler of all time, but he’s interesting and has a loyal following. The viability of professional tournaments clearly isn’t dependent only on skill, it’s about engagement and viewership. Until they figure that out, they will continue to struggle.
This started years ago with an incident in an open back in 2014 I believe. Watson knew another angler basically failed a polygraph and felt he should advance but Boyd covered it up. Boyd also fined Watson $4000 for even talking about to another MLF employee!!! Boyd is a money first guy-no ethics. And if you wonder who the angler was check the top of the money list every year. I'm sure he is still buying waypoints and sharing them with his roommate!
Problem is people who have great ideas like “FBD” often get locked into thinking they’re the greatest shit since sliced bread. While “FBD” deserves all the credit for putting together a pro trail. Once he fills the spots with “talent” he’s gotta let them thrive. They might not be in the top 10 every week at the weigh in. but they have talent in other ways. And that’s what makes a great pro tour. Not the same Ol BS week in & week out. I think JW took the heat, but that’s who he is with his military background, see something wrong, you not only owe it to yourself but the people who battle with you, your fellow anglers. JW will thrive in what ever he does next, FBD has got to know JW won’t be back. EVER! But out of the love for the tourney & respect for JW and the fans he should have made him a part time broadcaster, once he finished up. That’s why BASS is so successful the honor their past anglers & all that they’ve given BASS. Rock on James Watson, keep fishing them boat docks.
I hope the ownership stake in MLF changes to people that don’t suck. Every angler should protest this by not fishing another event and should violate every the same rules.

I would watch old WWII docs and I was amazed how the German government could control there population. Then I lived through COVID in this country and had a much clearer understanding. I was saddened to watch this video and see how FEAR has paralyzed you to the point that you had to choose your words so carefully as to not run a fowl of the FLW organization. Well David, Watson doesn’t have to take what forced on him. Financially, I think he’s fine. He has his own brand and doesn’t need MLF to survive. I follow him a good bit, actually I don’t think he needs fishing at all really. James is a character for sure and without MLF, he can shine somewhere else. The ‘fish boat docks’ hat sales at basmaster was actually hilarious! He has an opinion and he just expresses it differently than some would! No one but you guys in the professional ranks know what each league promised you, but he has expressed what he’s getting is not what he saw coming. Hey, it’s his decision to do as he sees I guess.
After the 1st season 2 anglers above reproach PAID $50k to leave this joke. Loved the original MLF format. But once they started the BPT the leadership has done nothing but alienate fans. Boyd Duckett is the worse thing to happen to tournament bass fishing in a long time. He is the equivalent of a gill net.

Maybe I’m rushing to judgment but there has been other anglers in my opinion do more damaging things to the sport than what Watson has done. I’m going strictly off the few podcast I’ve listened to about him and MLF. Hopefully they will come forward with the specifics of the violations so we can all judge for ourselves if the punishment fits the crime. I don’t hate MLF, I’m not crazy about the idea of two top tier leagues, but as soon as I watched this, I was very satisfied at the fact that I’m not and never really been a consumer of their products….

I am 100% a fan of James Watson. I think he has a great personality and is a much needed voice in the PRO fishing ranks. Especially in these times of such unnecessary divide in the fishing community. With that being said, James probably pushed the limit a little too far, knowing that this was likely gonna be his last full season in the MLF. I don't blame him for being angry at the way it went down, with Boyd announcing Angler cuts from the usual roster. Perhaps James "over the top" reaction pushed Boyd over the edge. I think it's funny by the way. However Boyd didn't and he is boss. James also told a story on a podcast about talking to some anglers about a possible DQ coming from someone not passing a polygraph. Boyd didn't like that Watson had disclosed it and fined Watson for it. Perhaps that is gonna be 1 of the things in the suspension mentioned? Again, I support James Watson and this may end up back firing on Boyd. Lord knows BOYD don't need any more bad publicity with all his haters that he has to begin with. #FishBoatDocks 😂
This seems a bit like a solution which was mutually agreed between individual competitive angler, and the MLF organization itself (what it achieves in terms of law of contract mechanism, is it releases this angler from all of their commitments or obligations). And I suspect, that is what both sides of this contract had wanted to achieve for whatever reason. Essentially what it enables this angler to do is start fresh somewhere else. It actually harkens back to what you would see with 'actors' and film project commitments as actors. Once you sign you're held into things from that point, as many film projects are only financed by lenders contingent on a signature from X or Y household named acting professional, who attaches themself to the said film by contract. In real estate it became known as a personal guarantee, which when they were signed by children or spouses of real estate developers in the past, for loan approval process to lenders. Those gave the said lenders access to the entire estate and assets of that said family, when the project financed under said conditions, give not materialize or became de-valued. That's basically what is all 'held together' too, with these competitive angling organization agreements. A version of the above.
On the BASS side what's been happening is in my estimation more shameful and shocking by far. They've introduced a 'brat pack' lot of under age scopers into that Elite series. And the organization has constructed a story line around that, which seeks to make the aged competitors look like sort of dummies by not being able to compete with the scopers. And in exchange for that opportunity to receive a thrashing as far as competition goes, the mature and traditional anglers are offered the opportunity to hang around just to be humiliated (that's the story line that BASS has for whatever reason decided is going to provide it with it's best commercial return). And from a point of view of law of contract this resembles something far more like a breach of agreement on the part of the organization, and not by the said mentioned mature angling competitors. Where the punks and their electric gadgets are facilitated to have free shot after free shot, at what are perceived to have become dinosaurs in their own sport. It's the most lop-sided breach of commitment by an organization to it's sporting talent that I've witnessed yet. It's much more of a disgrace in my view, than what's described as having occurred at MLF with Watson. In other words, if Watson was a BASS he'd be used as the 'old champ' who can't hack it, who came back to the ring too many times. And that would be James' value as perceived on the BASS side of it. So you take your pick. That's what competitive fishing offers one now. A movie contract, or a wrestling role, and not a lot in the middle between those two extremes.
Mlf is trash because of the owners. All these anglers should be pissed they left bass to make something great and a real professional no pay league. What it is today none of these anglers signed up for. As far as bass it's far superior all around including the average angler also the older guys will figure the ffs out and be back good. If they do not want to work on ffs then yes they will just start being cut.
As soon James rocked the boat after being mistreated they kick him off the tour. Boyd is making it very hard for me to continue to be a fan of MLF. Need to get rid of Boyd and MLF will be better off. All he is doing is running the organization in the ground. Plus his rods are the WORST on the market. Anyone thinking about buying a Duckett rod save your money or buy ANYTHING else.
The fact that MLF (Duckett) made the press release so vague as to why he was suspended is garbage. They intentionally did that in order to tarnish Watson's name and make allusions that he cheated...when in fact, the only thing he did was hurt Floyd Buckett's feelings.

Hard for me to make a comment on what I think should have happened without seeing exactly what rules he broke and how he broke them. Initially I don’t think it is good for MLF to ban someone now given the past couple seasons and the rules that have or have not been broken.
The rules state basically … anglers will conduct themselves professionally and not use defamation statements of the organization. Watson did a video dropping f bombs every other word about MLF not being live first two days and basically in true watson fashion, ran his mouth and expected no consequences.

Way overkill for him pushing their buttons. Guys fail polygraphs all the time and are protected, but for being honest he gets the boot. The league is circling the drain, do in part to poor sportsmanship, and changing rules etc. on the fly constantly. They tell me 80 is the number, then it is fifty, now it is what going to be 65 just a month or two after telling me it was going to be50. They cannot stay out of their own way.

All of this started because Wheeler failed a poly graph (or had questionable results). By rule, he should have been eliminated from the rest of that tournament.
James spoke up about the situation and Boyd suppressed the whole situation as to "to ruin the young anglers career".
Now with that being said, there are a few issues:
* Wheeler is sponsored by Boyd (conflict of interest)
* Boyd ignored his own Major League policies (failure to equitably enforce the rules/policies of MLF)
* Suspending James is a clear case of retaliation (imagine doing that in a normal workplace)
If these things occurred in a normal company, Boyd would find himself in hot water with Human Resources and likely be terminated for cause.
If what you say is true. The wrong person was suspended. That's why I quit fishing tournaments. Something is always questionable.

This shows the world that MLF is losing control and their organization is failing. Any organization that changes rules, business models, and structures as they have is clearly in trouble. This decision I'd feel safe in betting was based on emotions. B.A.S.S is walking on the moon compared to MLF. As far as "Commenting on this video" we still haven't been told ANYTHING about what actually took place. How are we to comment on a video like this? I feel like you know more than your telling and until people know what actually happened they're not gonna comment..
Sets up for a fun lawsuit, dependent on how the BPT contract is written and if James wants to knuckle up. Also sets an environment that a whole lot of eyeballs are looking at and thinking it stinks to high heaven of MLF leadership drunk on their power and massive egos.
First off, I like Watson. He’s one of the best on camera too. Sadly, without a stellar year, he was going to get cut from the BPT in the next year or 2. The suspension from all MLF tournaments was personal. He likes fishing the Toyotas and is good at them. Boyd wanted to make a point here. Cheaters do what they want but a guy talking gets the ax. This is a make or break point for MLF. The fans are already frustrated with the first 2 days being cut from Live, now a fan favorite has been axed, not to mention the stuff from last year where many put an * by the 2023 Angler of the Year. Big names have already left because this is about to get ugly. If they want to fix things, they need to start putting out press releases on every rule violation and actually punish them. There has to be transparency in order to gain trust back from the fans. Anglers will quit this cheating nonsense once there is a reason to. After the air is cleared and consequences are put in place, fans will trickle back in and sponsor dollars will pick back up. Until that time, big names like Jordan Lee will continue to leave. If Boyd is actually the one making the calls, I don’t know who else would be, he needs to own up and step away. This was supposed to be an angler (plural) ran league, not angler (singular). James did everyone a favor by kickstarting this and let’s be real, he didn’t really say too much just kept it real. It’s up to the rest of the anglers to keep it going. Fishing fans really wanted this to work. It’s fun, exciting, and simply more fishing content. The actions of a few are ruining it for everyone else. Cut out the disease now before it kills, whoever it is. Your turn DD.
Even though it might cut into his earnings this year, he at least had the balls to stand up to the mlf brass and let them know in no uncertain terms he was not happy with the direction they are headed. My hats off to the man and FBD.
James Watson spoke his mind and voiced his concerns. Its not easy to go against the grain. Unfortunately the climate from the “owner”of MLF has created a toxic work environment for some. At the end of the day it has turned me off from watching any BPT. James was not the problem( I am not saying he didnt violate a rule).

Duckett fined him previously for disparaging comments made on various podcasts, etc. in past. This time Watson was selling FBD t shirts at the classic and was at Luke Bryan’s talking about how he needed to sell 1k of them to offset previous fines. Boyd slapped him hard now. Watson will recover though and grow from this.

I don't care for James to much because of his language and attitude sometimes but I do respect the fact he stands for what he believes is right. I see there are rules you have to follow and all pro anglers sign to verify they understand those rules. when a pick and choose system of rule inforcement is used, it will never make sense or be a platform that will be there for the long haul. Unfortunetly i believe the end is close for this tour, unless someone new steps in and does it the right way.
I like James but common on man you can't walk around with a FBD hat and think something is not going to happen. He sold the hats and made a big deal with it at the classic. he signed an agreement just like every other pro angler. When you violate that agreement consequences happen. Im sorry this has happened to him but he put himself in that situation. I wish him all the best and look forward to seeing him fish in the future.

Hard to comment without more facts… if I assume the violations were not on the water fishing violations then they may be violations regarding conduct unbecoming or against the MLF brand which I suspect is in your MLF angler agreement as it is in most professional sport agreements. Big professional organizations don’t tolerate their shield being tarnished.

this is culmination of bad leadership and also the leadership not speaking to their anglers and working together. Watson has asked multiple times for meetings and been denied and also fined years ago while other anglers cheat and win and nothing is done. it is bad look for the BPT and then they mishandled the cutting of the field late last year affecting guys lives. did they think everyone would stay quiet?
MLF is a clown show. The BPT is a complete failure.
If it was a failure, it wouldn’t have survived as long as it has. Much less having 50 top sponsors financially supporting the league and extending their contracts.

Loved the format MLF brought to the table with Catch, weigh, release. Enjoyed the score tracker for building the chance for "buzzer beater" catches. It was a great product with the Cups, but the BPT has been toxic and full of problems from the start. Should have left it with no practice and no advance notice of the location. Boyd must be Joe Biden's lost twin judging by the decisions being made. Sad.

I really don’t understand how everyone thinks you can talk crap about your work place and everything should be ok. Try going to your boss or company you work for and say or do negative things and see how long you stay employed. In a sport that desperately needs more eyeballs, they just did themselves a huge disservice. James will never be accused of being the most skilled or accomplished angler of all time, but he’s interesting and has a loyal following. The viability of professional tournaments clearly isn’t dependent only on skill, it’s about engagement and viewership. Until they figure that out, they will continue to struggle.
This started years ago with an incident in an open back in 2014 I believe. Watson knew another angler basically failed a polygraph and felt he should advance but Boyd covered it up. Boyd also fined Watson $4000 for even talking about to another MLF employee!!! Boyd is a money first guy-no ethics. And if you wonder who the angler was check the top of the money list every year. I'm sure he is still buying waypoints and sharing them with his roommate!

Problem is people who have great ideas like “FBD” often get locked into thinking they’re the greatest shit since sliced bread. While “FBD” deserves all the credit for putting together a pro trail. Once he fills the spots with “talent” he’s gotta let them thrive. They might not be in the top 10 every week at the weigh in. but they have talent in other ways. And that’s what makes a great pro tour. Not the same Ol BS week in & week out. I think JW took the heat, but that’s who he is with his military background, see something wrong, you not only owe it to yourself but the people who battle with you, your fellow anglers. JW will thrive in what ever he does next, FBD has got to know JW won’t be back. EVER! But out of the love for the tourney & respect for JW and the fans he should have made him a part time broadcaster, once he finished up. That’s why BASS is so successful the honor their past anglers & all that they’ve given BASS. Rock on James Watson, keep fishing them boat docks.
I hope the ownership stake in MLF changes to people that don’t suck. Every angler should protest this by not fishing another event and should violate every the same rules.
MLF actually did James MF Worldwide Watson a favor. He was only fishing MLF this year to fulfill sponsorship obligations. He was leaving after this year anyway.

I would watch old WWII docs and I was amazed how the German government could control there population. Then I lived through COVID in this country and had a much clearer understanding. I was saddened to watch this video and see how FEAR has paralyzed you to the point that you had to choose your words so carefully as to not run a fowl of the FLW organization. Well David, Watson doesn’t have to take what forced on him. Financially, I think he’s fine. He has his own brand and doesn’t need MLF to survive. I follow him a good bit, actually I don’t think he needs fishing at all really. James is a character for sure and without MLF, he can shine somewhere else. The ‘fish boat docks’ hat sales at basmaster was actually hilarious! He has an opinion and he just expresses it differently than some would! No one but you guys in the professional ranks know what each league promised you, but he has expressed what he’s getting is not what he saw coming. Hey, it’s his decision to do as he sees I guess.
After the 1st season 2 anglers above reproach PAID $50k to leave this joke. MLF is an ego trip by a lot of guys who thought they were more relevant individually than tournament bass fishing as a whole. Now you have 2 guys taking ALL of your money. Loved the original MLF format. But once they started the BPT the leadership has done nothing but alienate fans. Boyd Duckett is the worse thing to happen to tournament bass fishing in a long time. He is the equivalent of a gill net.
Anglers can’t voice frustration but can cheat to win AOY, got it… MLF had all the momentum after the split with having 95% of all the marquee anglers but have completely lost all the momentum with absolute terrible leadership at the top.

I would like to see James do a tell all podcast about the MLF and all the dishonest, unethical and or untrustworthy stuff that has been kept out of the limelight for years. I think James knows enough things that Boyd and company have kept quiet or swept under the rug for years. I think this would be a great time to get everything out in the open. Does the rule prevent you from talking about other anglers? I believe Boyd being a peer removes his ability to have both hats worn. It will be interesting to see if it goes to court
Maybe I’m rushing to judgment but there has been other anglers in my opinion do more damaging things to the sport than what Watson has done. I’m going strictly off the few podcast I’ve listened to about him and MLF. Hopefully they will come forward with the specifics of the violations so we can all judge for ourselves if the punishment fits the crime. I don’t hate MLF, I’m not crazy about the idea of two top tier leagues, but as soon as I watched this, I was very satisfied at the fact that I’m not and never really been a consumer of their products….

I am 100% a fan of James Watson. I think he has a great personality and is a much needed voice in the PRO fishing ranks. Especially in these times of such unnecessary divide in the fishing community.
With that being said, James probably pushed the limit a little too far, knowing that this was likely gonna be his last full season in the MLF. I don't blame him for being angry at the way it went down, with Boyd announcing Angler cuts from the usual roster. Perhaps James "over the top" reaction pushed Boyd over the edge. I think it's funny by the way. However Boyd didn't and he is boss. James also told a story on a podcast about talking to some anglers about a possible DQ coming from someone not passing a polygraph. Boyd didn't like that Watson had disclosed it and fined Watson for it. Perhaps that is gonna be 1 of the things in the suspension mentioned?
Again, I support James Watson and this may end up back firing on Boyd. Lord knows BOYD don't need any more bad publicity with all his haters that he has to begin with. #FishBoatDocks 😂

This seems a bit like a solution which was mutually agreed between individual competitive angler, and the MLF organization itself (what it achieves in terms of law of contract mechanism, is it releases this angler from all of their commitments or obligations). And I suspect, that is what both sides of this contract had wanted to achieve for whatever reason. Essentially what it enables this angler to do is start fresh somewhere else. It actually harkens back to what you would see with 'actors' and film project commitments as actors. Once you sign you're held into things from that point, as many film projects are only financed by lenders contingent on a signature from X or Y household named acting professional, who attaches themself to the said film by contract. In real estate it became known as a personal guarantee, which when they were signed by children or spouses of real estate developers in the past, for loan approval process to lenders. Those gave the said lenders access to the entire estate and assets of that said family, when the project financed under said conditions, give not materialize or became de-valued. That's basically what is all 'held together' too, with these competitive angling organization agreements. A version of the above.
On the BASS side what's been happening is in my estimation more shameful and shocking by far. They've introduced a 'brat pack' lot of under age scopers into that Elite series. And the organization has constructed a story line around that, which seeks to make the aged competitors look like sort of dummies by not being able to compete with the scopers. And in exchange for that opportunity to receive a thrashing as far as competition goes, the mature and traditional anglers are offered the opportunity to hang around just to be humiliated (that's the story line that BASS has for whatever reason decided is going to provide it with it's best commercial return). And from a point of view of law of contract this resembles something far more like a breach of agreement on the part of the organization, and not by the said mentioned mature angling competitors. Where the punks and their electric gadgets are facilitated to have free shot after free shot, at what are perceived to have become dinosaurs in their own sport. It's the most lop-sided breach of commitment by an organization to it's sporting talent that I've witnessed yet. It's much more of a disgrace in my view, than what's described as having occurred at MLF with Watson. In other words, if Watson was a BASS he'd be used as the 'old champ' who can't hack it, who came back to the ring too many times. And that would be James' value as perceived on the BASS side of it. So you take your pick. That's what competitive fishing offers one now. A movie contract, or a wrestling role, and not a lot in the middle between those two extremes.
Mlf is trash because of the owners. All these anglers should be pissed they left bass to make something great and a real professional no pay league. What it is today none of these anglers signed up for. As far as bass it's far superior all around including the average angler also the older guys will figure the ffs out and be back good. If they do not want to work on ffs then yes they will just start being cut.
James is first class. This is what the world needs more of. He is why I watch MLF. Boyd is such a joke.
As soon James rocked the boat after being mistreated they kick him off the tour. Boyd is making it very hard for me to continue to be a fan of MLF. Need to get rid of Boyd and MLF will be better off. All he is doing is running the organization in the ground. Plus his rods are the WORST on the market. Anyone thinking about buying a Duckett rod save your money or buy ANYTHING else.
The fact that MLF (Duckett) made the press release so vague as to why he was suspended is garbage. They intentionally did that in order to tarnish Watson's name and make allusions that he cheated...when in fact, the only thing he did was hurt Floyd Buckett's feelings.

Hard for me to make a comment on what I think should have happened without seeing exactly what rules he broke and how he broke them. Initially I don’t think it is good for MLF to ban someone now given the past couple seasons and the rules that have or have not been broken.
The rules state basically … anglers will conduct themselves professionally and not use defamation statements of the organization. Watson did a video dropping f bombs every other word about MLF not being live first two days and basically in true watson fashion, ran his mouth and expected no consequences.
Aint about the consequences it's about standing up when you don't agree with something. Boyd's a duche and James and every other angler other than the 5 Boyd nut huggers needs to stand up.
