These would looks cute in vintage Santa head mugs. For an MCM vibe, using a silver felt would give it an aluminum tree vibe. Using the cap as the base, but using a larger square of fabric/burlap and tying the top would make it look like a sapling in a bag. So many fun possibilities!
You can glue some small gift ornaments on there to look like presents under the tree. Usually the Dollar Tree or discount stores carries them. They would be perfect.
It's just beautiful!! I'm not very Christmasy but I do have a little placemat that I put some Christmas trinkets on. I was going to buy a Dollar Shop tree but this is some much more classy. Because I'm an ex group leader at a day care centre I'm very partial to glitter!!! I may put a little on the bare tree segments just to satisfy my glitter obsession 😂❤️
Go crazy with the Glitter Nancy! There’s not enough glitter in the world! I have to confess , I’m a bit of a Christmas Grinch!😂 shhhh, don’t tell the others, However I love Handmade Christmas gifts, way more heartfelt!🥰
This is adorable! I’m loving your channel, nice to see some Aussie content for felt crafting ideas. And thank you for sharing your free patterns, its so generous!
Hello dear lady. I'm at present making two trees for my sister in law. I made a silver and white table cloth with silver rickrack running the length. I made big bows for each corner out of the same fabric. Then I made 12 serviettes with the same fabric and lined them with a pale grey broadcloth. I put a little piece of rickrack diagonally across one corner. The two trees will be green on one side and white glitter felt on the other.
PayItForward She has given us so much over the years. She work's very hard and makes much more money than we ever did. And she certainly deserves my little project as a token of my appreciation for all her kindness

Hi Lisa I just wanted to tell you how sweet you are for sharing your patters with all of us at no cost 💕thank you! I've made several now ,and I'm just having so much fun with these .PS I love your style 😍
Oh, Lisa,,,,So adorable....Thank you so much....I love this little tree and agree, it would be great in white as well....Also,,,,I was searching for a movie quote.....lol
So cute! I'm kinda new to sewing & have just started with felt & needle felting. I think I'm gonna attempt this some time before the upcoming Christmas! If it goes well, maybe even make one or two as gifts! Just found your channel last night & subbed. Enjoying what I've seen so far!
This really cute :-) . I just started me some little ornament balls by drawing some of my own templates to practice the blanket stitch and one's with beads before I try one of your projects. I saw both your videos preparing the felt and the bead blanket stitch. So easy like you said :-) .
Hi Lisa, you are absolutely amazing, I’m a novice sewer but will be having a go with the tree for my grandchildren. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely designs. 😍👌👍🌲
How adorable🎄🎄🎄THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND GENEROSITY IN SHARING YOUR WONDERFUL PATTERNS WITH US LISA❣️🧵❣️They all make such special gifts to give❤️❤️❤️ You are certainly so very talented and such an inspiration...Thank you❣️❤️❣️ Smiles, Deborah 🌝🌝🌝
HI Lisa, lovely idea for xmas! yes PLEASE to the mini Quilts had so much fun doing your last one, it is hanging proudly in my sewing room! love all your gorgeous creations thanks for sharing another one!
a lovely little tree. i had a thought. could you cut out bits of the felt so the contrast color shows through? you have my mind racing lol lol Thank you for all your time you take in making the videos for us all. i love them. i am waiting for some felt to arrive. x
Another beautiful design, so looking forward to your mini quilts. Always getting free patterns is such a nice treat and the tip for using quill paper to print patterns on has been so helpful. thank you 🥰💕.
Absolutely love your videos! Thank you. I would like to know if you have any suggestions for fusing the felt together. I did watch your video, I did prewash the felt and I did use heat and bond lite. The heat and bond works with the first pressing (paper attached), but when I do the bonding of the two pieces of felt together it doesn’t adhere.
Hi Robin, I use a medium weight Fusible Web paper ( Heat/Bond ) and you could try adding the paper to both sides of your felt for extra adhesion. I hope this helps 😊🥰
Hello sweet lady. I was wondering if I could use Helmar 101 Quilt Basting Spray or Motortech Spray Adhesive to stick the two coloured felt pieces together? The stuff you use is quite expensive in Spotlight and I already have the sprays.
PayItForward well I got so excited I actually did a test and it was great. I've got to sewing the spines on each one. I'll have to buy some beads and glue. I'm 50km from Bundaberg so I'll have to wait until sometime this coming week. Noooooo 😱 You can find me as Bumbles' Bags on Facebook. I made handbags and backpacks amongst other things. Check it out if you like, just to see what I do ok 😊
Hi Lisa. Love the tree. I have used acorns in lids for years and years. They are tired and shabby looking now. Time to revamp with your beautiful felt trees. Where did you get your metallic foam and felt from please, I am a fellow Aussie.
I'm finding my OCD is now A.D.D, Attention deficit disorder, my attention span is that of a gnat. Every video I watch, I want to do that tomorrow. Haha it's not even Christmas yet. Yeesh.
PayItForward Ok again I wanted nice shiny rich looking ones 😀 you know sparkly shiny glittery 😂 thank you. Sorry to bother you so much! If this one turns out I'm going to make some for some older ladies I hang out with here. They're both 85 but full of beans 💝
How fun, this reminds me of when I was young, we would fold our old TV program guides to make Christmas trees. Then we would paint them green.

Wonderful idea for donating to Elderly stuck in a retirement home Bedroom in Covid lockdown! These folks have very few visitors .

Hey Nancy, yes I believe that will work just fine because the edges are going to be stitched anyway, I hope you enjoy it!🥰🤗

I really like the Woodglut plans.
Do you have a parrot pattern?
No sorry Shirley I don’t, that’s a good idea though!😊🥰
