Everything is based off the door adjustment. As much of a pain it is to take the fender off it is probably your best bet. also adjust your door without the door striker in place. Put that on after your get the door just how you want it. Don't forget to give your self some room for door to drop a little after you get the door internal components in. Fenders will align to doors, hood to fenders. It all starts with the doors. With the fender on you would have to open the door and try and get a wrench in there to loosen just enough to move as needed. Never tried it that way myself.
@@macs65mustangrestoration do you think I could take a certain amount of bolts out enough to loosen area around door hinge area, just enough to get better access, reason I ask is idiot me put front end back together not thinking of door adjustment obstacles
@@21titansrock Hi, I believe it would just be easier to remove the fender. Its more work but then you don't run the risk of damaging the fender or door from trying to make just enough room to loosen the bolts. I to felt like an idiot many times during my journey restoring my car. Just have to have some patients. I often would take 2 steps forward and then take 3 steps backwards. Don't knock on yourself to hard. The splash shields inside the fender would also make it very difficult to gain access to the bolts.
Best and simple explanation for door alignment I've seen....Thanks!!
Thanks fir the video my 65 doors are all out of wack, question did you remove the door latch to do that ?
Any advice for adjusting and fastening doors without front fenders off?I installed driver side on my 66 but quite a bit out of line

Thank you sir! God Bless
Great video. Just one suggestion let, your wife film. She has a much steadier hand
LOL. She tells me that all the time.
good explanation but you dont show which bolts you refer to when making certain door adjustments
Still not sure what the screwdrivers for
We just used the screwdriver to align so the door didn’t drop down. If you loosen the door to much it will drop.
in sweat pants and slippers
Got to be comfy
Not a good tutorial. Thanks tho
