  • The Four is an evangelism tool created by Cru in Switzerland that uses four symbols - a heart, division symbol, cross and question mark - to represent the four points of the gospel in a clear and easy-to-remember way.
The Four is currently available in 8 languages and being used in 10 different countries - many of which have post-modern cultures like in the U.S. and Europe.
“The content of The Four is the same as The Four Spiritual Laws, but [makes it] easier for this generation to explain the gospel to their friends,”

I like this way of evangelizing but I think that from the perspective of an unbeliever it would be better if we could point to the value of their soul apart from the world in which we live. There is no mentioning of the certainty of death or the urgency that salvation wasn’t JUST given and done but that it was NEEDED - that WE are the criminals who’s sure fate due to our sin is an afterlife apart from the glory of God...and that’s terrifying! Choosing to turn from our sin and repent before Jesus means that we are ALLOWING Jesus Christ to pay for the penalty of our sins. On judgement day, God can legally dismiss our case because we let Jesus pay the fine!

Troy Drury I cannot stress to you enough the blunder of the introduction of this video. These words fall nicely on those that already believe that need a pick me up but SIN is where we must start for everyone. God is loving. But he is also RIGHTEOUS and JUST. Meaning that he cannot let sin go unpunished. When we face God in judgement day we’re going to be a criminal in the eyes of God because we’ve sinned against him. Troy, you and I BOTH . Everyone. We’ve all told lies - we’ve all blasphemed the name of God - we’ve all stolen something. At heart, we’re lying, blaspheming, thieves and that’s not even half of our crimes. God says that even if we were sin just one time we’re considered a criminal and if you don’t think that’s fair let’s go to the court of law. If all you did was steal ONE time - to the judge it doesn’t matter how many times you’ve stolen but that you’ve stolen at all. You’ve committed a criminal act and God’s Righteousness CANNOT let it go unpunished. So in God’s court of law - you would be found guilty. And rightfully so... if God just let you go free then he wouldn’t be Just. And the Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, as he is today, as he will be tomorrow. The Bible says the penalty for our sins are death. Eternal death is hell. Eternal life is Heaven. You’re found guilty on judgement day - where do you go? You might have some other religious background that tells you that if you confess your sins then you’re forgiven but that doesn’t work either. You confess your crimes to a judge and he’s going to be like, “great that you confessed, you’re still going to jail” you understand? We cannot do anything for ourselves to save ourselves from the certainty of eternal death. No hope. A lost cause. But God is also just as much Rich in mercy as he is righteous - and what He did so that we can be saved is send his son/ himself to take upon the world’s punishment for sin. He was placed on a criminals cross - tried as a criminal having not ever sinned and when it was over taking his final breaths he said, “it is done” meaning the prophecy has been fulfilled - checkout Isaiah 53. He rose again and defeated death and the rest is a timeless history. But we know this - whoever repents before Jesus, turns from their sin and confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord - shall have everlasting life. This is an act that ACCEPTS and PROCLAIMS that Jesus is SALVATION. The debt of our sin has been paid. You never know when you’re going to die and the feeling of fear that makes your heart race is good - it let’s you know that you are in terrible danger and that you need a Savior. You have one! Put your faith in king Jesus!

The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom!
Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21
    Matt 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Jesus said the Father is the only true God!
    John 17
3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

I got a tract like this in my mailbox. So why don’t Christians go around commanding things to happen and doing miracles like they did in the book of Acts? That should be happening if it is true. But I have Moebius Syndrome. When I was ten years old, my mother took me to a healing service that our church had in the fireside room. The pastor anointed me with oil. A whole bunch of people laid hands on me. They prayed for me. But nothing happened. My dad has Multiple Sclerosis. He can hardly talk and he can barely drive himself in his wheelchair now. My mother has to drive him up and down the ramp into and out of the van. He goes to church every week and does not get healed. My second cousin and ex roommate is blind and has seizures. He has hurt himself multiple times by falling. He is in a wheelchair and a group home now because his balance is not that good. He goes to a charismatic church which should be able to heal him. So if there is a god, it probably either is deistic or misotheistic. Or maybe an infinite multiverse exists and a god does not.

Why? Because God is not your puppet waiting to heal people because you demand it. If God heals someone, he does it for his glory only; not yours. God is the perfectly righteous creator of this universe who holds your life in his hands and will judge you in righteousness one day. What you need to do is realize you're a wicked sinner and turn to him in faith. You need salvation; not physical healing. If you don't believe you're a wicked person, then ask yourself how many selfish lies you've told in your life. Let the answer to that question guide you to the God who, in his great love, became and man and paid for your sins on the cross.

Troy Drury he also doesn’t smite too many people so why should anyone fear, love, respect, or trust him? He doesn’t really do anything detectible so why should anyone believe? It is time for humanity to look under the bed and find out that there is no monster.
